How many people know that a significant sewer line in the DC area ruptured four weeks ago? As in, raw sewage is flooding the Potomac River. Yet, how many Democrat politicians or news media have spoken of it or covered it? Very few. Like hardly any. 

Repairs on a pipe rupture that has sent sewage flowing into the Potomac River northwest of Washington, D.C., will take weeks more to repair because of an unexpected blockage, according to the local water authority.

In a release posted on its website Thursday, DC Water, which operates the sewer system, said a video inspection of the pipeline revealed the blockage inside the collapsed sewer line “is far more significant” than originally thought. It said it discovered a large rock dam about 30 feet (9 meters) from the breach in the sewage line, which requires treatment before the current spill can be addressed.

Yes, the Washington Post has and is covering it … mostly in their metro section (read buried WAY under their Trump tantrum stories), but the rest of the media and Democrats has been radio silent until President Trump stepped in today. 

“A sewer line breach in Maryland has caused millions of gallons of raw sewage to be dumped directly into the Potomac River, a result of incompetent Local and State Management of Essential Waste Management Systems.”

“This is the same Governor who cannot rebuild a Bridge. It is clear Local Authorities cannot adequately handle this calamity.”

“Therefore, I am directing Federal Authorities to immediately provide all necessary Management, Direction, and Coordination to protect the Potomac, the Water Supply in the Capital Region, and our treasured National Resources in our Nation’s Capital City.”

“While State and Local Authorities have failed to request needed Emergency Help, I cannot allow incompetent Local “Leadership” to turn the River in the Heart of Washington into a Disaster Zone!”

“As we saw in the Palisades, the Democrat War on Merit has real consequences. The Federal Government has no choice, but to step in. FEMA, which is currently being defunded by the Democrats, will play a key role in coordinating the response. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP”

Would you like to know how bad of an ecological disaster this raw sewage spill is compared to Flint or East Palestine? Equal or even WORSE. Not only will it take nine months or more to fix, sewage will KEEP spilling into the Potomac.

The current response from DC Water is a … mild warning. 

With ZERO mention of how many millions of gallons of sewage has spilled down the river! Furthermore, the agencies misrepresented the amount of E. Coli in the water by over NINE THOUSAND PERCENT! 

On Friday, Feb. 6, DC Water initially reported levels of E. coli at 2,420 MPN/100mL, then changed it to the actual level of E. coli present, 242,000 MPN/100mL, which is 9,900% higher than the initial report. The numbers came from a drainage channel at Swainson Island, adjacent to Cabin John, Maryland, in the Potomac River.

DC Water weakly admitted this calculation was ‘human error.’ Oh golly gee, doesn’t that make you feel so much better about all the raw sewage flowing down the river? The same sewage that is also going to harm the plant life? The same sewage that is going to have a negative impact upon the Chesapeake Bay and oyster fields that are down river from this putrid mess?? 

What is Wes Moore doing? Nothing other than throwing verbal rocks at President Trump. 

“The President has his facts wrong—again. Since the last century, the federal government has been responsible for the Potomac Interceptor, which is the origin of the sewage leak. For the last four weeks, the Trump Administration has failed to act, shirking its responsibility and putting people’s health at risk,” Ammar Moussa, a spokesperson for Moore, told The Hill.

Isn’t that cute? When was the last time the Democrats in charge in DC have been concerned enough to address the sewer infrastructure issues? The 1960’s is my best guess. But they had $55 million to waste on a new headquarters building!

One would think that Moore, while ignoring his problematic history of lying, would be front and center making sure everyone knows the sewer cleanup is happening ASAP. Right? Nope. No press conferences. Zero photo ops of his traipsing through sewage in muck boots either. 

How putrid is the stench from this Potomac sewage spill? 

The Potomac River is full of FECAL BACTERIA and you can SMELL IT before you even see the river.

How many gallons of putrid raw sewage has been spilled? Well over 200,000 gallons. To put that in perspective, via Beege, I give you Commander Salamander’s assessment. Which is, 28 Exon Valdez spills in ONE MONTH. That’s one helluva ecological disaster! 

Furthermore, while the Democrats are doing their damndest to ignore this massive ecological disaster, FEMA is working without pay to help clean up this vile mess.

It will take years to fully clean up this fetid ecological disaster that has hit the Potomac River. The ones who will suffer from this are those who make their living on or from the river or enjoy water sports on the river. The wildlife will suffer as well, and that impact won’t be felt for some time.

Meanwhile, all the Democrats have is blame, deflection while not lifting a finger to help.
