CUNY Law Grad Goes Full Anti-Semite In Commencement Speech

Graduation season has begun, which means that we will be hearing and seeing a lot of commencement speeches. The speech given at CUNY School of Law is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

This particular speech was given by Fatima Mousa Mohammed, who was apparently picked by her fellow graduates to give this commencement address. Uh, why? Is it because she is a Muslim woman, and looks really intersectional and diverse in that cap and gown while at the podium? Probably. The real question is, did her peers know what kind of speech Fatima Mousa Mohammed was planning on giving? Because this speech was ugly, gross, and anti-Semitic in the extreme.

If you have the stomach to hear an absolute screed, it can be heard at one hour and fifteen minutes into the CUNY Law School commencement ceremony here. Fatima Mousa Mohammed was the first student speaker.

Just how bad was this speech? CUNY actually pulled the whole commencement off YouTube – only to put it back on when CAIR complained loudly about how taking down the speech was “censorship” (CAIR only likes censorship when they do the censoring) – and then patting themselves on the back for getting it restored. CUNY has direct ties to CAIR, so it’s little wonder that the university caved to their demands, or that the law school students wildly cheered at the conclusion of Mohammed’s screed.

“I come to you all from the rich soil of Yemen, raised by the humble streets of Queens,” said future lawyer Fatima Mousa Mohammed, who was selected by the 2023 class to speak at the May 12 CUNY Law ceremony.”

“I chose CUNY School of Law for its articulated mission [as one of the] few legal institutions… to recognize that the law is a manifestation of White supremacy that continues to oppress and suppress people in this nation and around the world.”

“No one person will save the world. No single movement will liberate the masses. Those who brought the ferocity of the violence, those who carry the revolution, the people, the masses, those who brought the ferocity of the violence, those who need our protection. They will carry this revolution.”

The “revolution” apparently includes being a raging anti-Semite and being proud about it.

“I want to celebrate CUNY Law as one of the few, if not the only law school to make a public statement defending the rights of its students to organize and speak out against Israeli settler colonialism,” Mohammed said from the podium.”

“That this is the law school that passed and endorsed BDS on a student and faculty level recognizing that…as Israel continues to indiscriminately rain bullets and bombs on worshipers, murdering the old, the young, attacking even funerals and graveyards, as it encourages lynch mobs to target Palestinian homes and businesses as it imprisons its children…that our silence is no longer acceptable,” she said.”

“And,” the future lawyer continued, “we did all of this in spite of the racism, in spite of the selective activism the self-serving interests of CUNY central, an institution that continues to fail us, that continues to train and cooperate with the fascist NYPD, the military, that continues to train IDF soldiers to carry out that same violence globally…”

In another part of her speech, Mohammed, who also called for a “revolution” to challenge “oppressive” institutions in America, spoke out against the treatment of “Palestinian political prisoners like HLF in U.S. prisons.” HLF, or the Holy Land Foundation, was a Texas-based charity that “existed to support Hamas,” a designated terror group by the U.S. State Department, according to the DOJ.”

The speaker later urged her graduating class of lawyers to dismantle capitalism. “The joy and excitement that fills the auditorium… may it be the fuel for the fight against capitalism, racism, imperialism and Zionism around the world,” she concluded.”

Wow, what a charming speech. Sooooo, why couldn’t Fatima Mousa Mohammad, who comes “from the rich soil of Yemen,” get a law degree in Yemen instead of in the United States? It’s a mystery, Charlie Brown! This country, with the freedoms and opportunities that are offered to all races and religions and both sexes, allowed Fatima Mousa Mohammed to get an education and a law degree, but that same law that she now wants to be paid to practice is a “manifestation of White supremacy that continues to oppress and suppress people in this nation and around the world,” she claims. But, since she hates capitalism so very much, she’s going to be working for free to live up to her beliefs, right? RIGHT???

Just how bad was this speech? New York Democrats have been calling out CUNY and the law school, and condemning it.

For its part, CUNY is blaming the students for choosing Fatima Mousa Mohammed as their speaker.

A CUNY rep told The Post in a statement Monday, “Members of the Class of 2023 selected student speakers who offered congratulatory remarks and their own individual perspectives on advocating for social justice.”

“As with all such commencement remarks, they reflect the voices of those individuals.”

But if CUNY really believed that they wouldn’t be held responsible for Mohammed’s speech, then why did they pull the entire event off YouTube, only to put it back when CAIR bitched and moaned about it? They know that this is an embarrassment for them, and reflects badly on the law school. For all their talk of “social justice” and “equity” and “fairness,” they sure didn’t have a problem letting an open racist trash entire groups of people, as well as an entire country, while giving a commencement speech. Does anyone really believe that this was the first time that Fatima Mousa Mohammed had ever expressed these sentiments?

Let’s all remember the name of Fatima Mousa Mohammed. After all, she’s a lawyer now, and presumably will be looking for a job in the near future.

I hope any prospective future employers enjoy listening to the results of their Google searches, and consider carefully if an anti-Semite who hates capitalism should be accepting a paycheck from them.

This sounds pretty much like Lenin or Mao did back in the day, doesn’t it? How well did that work out for most of “the people, the masses”?

We’ve flunked history, so we gets to repeat it.

So there are no Laws in Arab countries in many of which women are forced to live lives subordinate to men and may nor seek an education? ‘Princess’ Fatima has successfully margninalised herself with this diatribe. She may be ‘educated’, but she is arrogant and stupid. People who live in [Arabian] glass houses should not throw rocks.

Why does everything have to a MESSAGE! with these kids? You got through law school. Celebrate that and congratulate your fellow grads.

Another fine democrat… The ones speaking out against her screed are only doing so because she said the quiet part out loud…

What are the special privileges and benefits that comes with the title of white supremacist?
Are all white people supremacist or just some? Do I need to file some special forms with the government to see if I’m entitled for those special benefits,at what age do they start those white supremacist benefits?

Not yet a lawyer, still needs to pass the bar exam and the NYS bar character fitness inquiry. Which, given the sorry state of NY, shouldn’t be a problem, sadly.

And if CUNY blames the students, it needs to look at who “educated” them.
