Illiterate rednecks. That’s how CNN’s Don Lemon, supposed conservative Rick Wilson, and NY Times reporter Wajahat Ali view anyone who is a Trump supporter. Think I’m wrong? Watch.
Well…that is a load of smug jackassery right there. In case our readers refused to watch that dreck, here’s what Wilson said.
“WILSON: Of course. Of course. It’s — he’s just trying to demean her, and obviously it’s false. And look, he also knows deep in his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it. He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that’s partly him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, credulous boomer rube demo that back Donald Trump, that wants to think that Donald Trump’s a smart one, and y’all — y’all elitists are dumb.
ALI: You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling even though —
WILSON: Your math, your reading.
ALI: Yes, your reading, you know. Your geography knowing other countries. Sipping your latte.
WILSON: All those lines on the map.
ALI: Only them elitists know where Ukraine is. Sorry. I apologize.”
In other words, anyone who supports Trump is an illiterate rube of a redneck who don’t know nuthin’ about anything.
You know, when Hillary called us all Deplorables, the media provided cover for her. The media and political elites tried to pass it off as just joking guys, nothing to see here, move along. Except that she meant it, and Americans KNEW that she meant it.
Fast forward to the vast buckets of tears shed by the media, including Don Lemon, on election night. Fast forward to those who fell into a feverish rank cesspool of Trump Derangement Syndrome (Hi Rick Wilson!) and have never climbed out of it.
Since then, those three and many others have shown us who they really are, and they’ve continually shown Americans their hatred of this Republic. The Kavanaugh hearings and their attacks on Nick Sandmann and Covington Catholic are features with them, not bugs.
Their gleeful embrace of this impeachment process is another case in point. In January 2017, the Washington Post published this article.
“The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun”
And now, the media and those like Rick Wilson who are infected with a virus called Trump Derangement Syndrome have really ripped the masks off.
The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents.
If Donald Trump wins re-election this year, I’ll remember this brief CNN segment late one Saturday night in January as the perfect encapsulation for why it happened. pic.twitter.com/8kQ6zN9AZV

It’s worth noting that Steve used to be a digital producer with CNN.
Ivanka called them out as well.
“You consistently make fun of half the country and then complain that it is divided.
The arrogance, mocking accents and smug ridicule of this nation’s ‘Real Elites’ is disgusting.”
You know, she’s right. CNN has been one of the leaders in bitching about how divided this country is. Their premise is, if everyone would just fall in line with OUR narrative and get rid of Trump then the world will be a much better place. When all of us Deplorable rednecks out there fail to do so, segments like the one above are the result.
And President Trump responded.
“President Trump on Tuesday lashed out at CNN anchor Don Lemon, calling him “the dumbest man on television” after the anchor recently led a segment in which he laughed when a panelist called Trump supporters “the credulous boomer rube demo.”
“Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!),” Trump tweeted to his more 70 million followers.”
Notice how the media has framed it? Uh huh. That’s right. Trump is the one lashing out. It’s absolutely A-OK for the media and people like Rick Wilson to call Trump supporters illiterate rednecks. But when President Trump responds? He’s attacking!
Boy howdy, the media firefighters and their narrative is quite something.
Needless to say, Don Lemon and Rick Wilson have been trending on Twitter, and for good reason. Wajahat Ali decided join Rick in throwing down the victim card.
Trump tweeted our CNN clip from 2 days ago. Friends are now concerned about my safety. I refuse to be intimidated & bullied by bad faith actors who cry fake victimhood, whining about a harmless, silly 30 second clip while endorsing Trump, a cruel vulgarian who debases everyone.

Oh goodness, he ticked all the ‘woe is me’ boxes didn’t he?
Gracie, like many of us, is having NONE of their smug assholery. Read her entire tweet thread.
Dear @TheRickWilson,
I'm neither a Boomer nor an ignoramus. I'm an excellent speller and I aced geography. I am college educated and sit in the C-suite. I don't talk like I just walked off the set of Hee Haw. I personally dislike Donald Trump. You know what I dislike even more? https://t.co/oStMqmIF0t— Gracie, Chief Fun Officer ❄ (@nomorenightowl) January 28, 2020
As Gracie says, keep digging guys. Keep ripping that mask off, calling us rednecks, and showing us how you really feel about this Republic.
You want more Trump in 2020? This is how you will get more Trump.
