CNN’s Dana Bash has a soft spot for the President’s son. In fact, she thinks the DOJ has mistreated poor Hunter Biden. After all, they strung him along on this trial business. It is so unfair.
I’m not kidding, she really said this. After AG Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to the Hunter Biden trial, Bash lamented on the humanity of the situation.
David Weiss has been working on this for five years, five years,” Bash stressed. “I’m not a lawyer but I’ve sort of covered enough of this to know that five years is a really long time.”
And you know, God forbid we bring humanity into this but to be, you know, sort of stringing along and to be having a person’s life in limbo – and we’re talking about Hunter Biden, and we’re talking about his family and, you know, frankly, the president’s family. Taking politics aside, if you change the name from Hunter Biden to Joe Smith, you would say, ‘You know what, that’s not really fair.'”-Dana Bash
Ummm, Dana? What would happen if you changed the name from Hunter Biden to Donald Trump? Would it be fair, then? And, excuse me? Joe Smith? Joe Smith lives in Middle America and works a 9-5 job. Maybe he’s white collar, maybe he gets his hands dirty and is blue collar. Joe Smith certainly does not make $83k a month for doing nothing. Joe Smith does not blow his $83K a month “consulting wage” (that he doesn’t make) on cocaine and hookers. Joe Smith also probably wouldn’t be scuzzy enough sleep with his late brother’s widow.
Dana’s always had a love affair with all things Biden:
Maybe if Hunter Biden just cooperated and plead guilty the first time, we would have had this over and done with and wrapped up a hell of a lot earlier. But CNN’s Dana Bash wants us to consider the humanity of it all. All of a sudden, his family is brought into this. Because Hunter Biden is such a family guy. He is now in limbo, thanks to the “justice system” (and it is certainly questionable what type of “justice” will actually end up being served after all of this is said-and-done). Boo-hoo. Pass the Kleenex and cue the world’s smallest violin.
Poor Hunter and his family peace and his peace of mind, though. It is so unfair to him and the old fool in The White House for anyone to dredge up those unflattering photos of a him, cracked-out, whilst hanging with a prostitute. He has a family. And, his father is The President, for God’s sake. Let’s have some respect, shall we? Hunter Biden, according to Dana Bash is mistreated, misunderstood, persecuted, even. And now, his family is thrown into this mix-to include the stripper’s daughter he tried to skip out on child support for. The same daughter, his “loving” parents refused to acknowledge. Such a great (cough) family that the justice department is tearing apart because of this.
If it were up to Dana Bash and the rest of the pod people at CNN, they would be completely content with burying all Biden corruption in perpetuity. As it stands, some of it, sadly, will be downplayed as we move into 2024, which is not ideal. But, reallyunfairness? What, exactly is fair about cheating on your taxes, Dana? Or using someone’s position and influence to get rich?
If we replaced Hunter Biden with “Joe Smith”, good ol’ Joe (sadly, not Biden) would be sitting in The Pen. He would be dubbed a horrible man who cheated his way through life, a philanderer, a deadbeat dad, a pathetic excuse for a human being who deserves to rot in prison. Sure, you can dress “Joe Smith” up with an Ivy League education (that he did not earn) and give him an opportunity to redeem himself as a quiet, introspective artist with some showings in SoHo but the reality is, “Joe Smith”–err—Hunter Biden is a world class douchebag who thought (thinks) he is above the law because his dad, “The Big Guy“, told him that he was.
This will, without a doubt, drag along. It can be argued that it was designed to go exactly this way. Maybe some CNN viewers will connect the dots and figure it out but I am not holding my breath. Dana Bash and CNN, in the meantime, will continue to push this “humanity” narrative of the “down-to-earth” (loopy) president who’s the “perfect granddad to his grandchildren (except for that one), who “innocently” forgets where he is and who he is talking to but remembers which shell company the big bucks were sent to. They will throw in his wife who is a “good doctor” and who cares about the kids so much because she is a “loving grandmother” of all of her grandchildren, (except for the one). How terrible is it for Americans to drag the First Family because they had a son who had troubles and made mistakes (who is still a dirtbag)!
CNN has indeed outdone themselves on this one. Dana? You there? Or are you hitting Hunter’s crack pipe?

Chad King says: I’ll look forward to hearing Dana Bash’s rumination on the unfairness of Emmet Sullivan’s disgraceful treatment of General Flynn–who unlike Hunter Biden–spent his life in service to his country. But I probably won’t hold my breath!
I wondered who Dana Bash was.
I wonder if she is paying her taxes.
I wonder if she is taking bribes for slanting the news. She doesn’t seem to be making any effort to report objectively.
Blackwing1 says: She has apparently “overlooked” the fact that the DoJ slow-walked the entire process until the statute of limitations had expired on his most egregious tax crimes.
To paraphrase Rand, “she is neither blind nor innocent.” This is cold, calculated, deliberate gaslighting.
