CNN Changes Debate Criteria, Carly Fiorina Will Make The Main Event

After intense pressure from fans, followed somewhat belatedly by the Republican National Committee, CNN has changed its requirements to qualify for the next big debate on September 16th. This change in rules means that Carly Fiorina, who was the acknowledged winner of the “kiddie table” debate on Fox News back on August 6th, will now qualify for the “top-tier” debate on CNN.

The problem, CNN claimed, was that there wasn’t enough recent national polling data to really change the roster from the previous primetime debate. The rules are now going to be altered.

As a result, CNN reevaluated its criteria and decided to add a provision that better reflects the state of the race since the first Republican presidential debate in August, the network announced Tuesday.

Now, any candidate who ranks in the top 10 in polling between August 7 and September 10 will be included.

The adjustment may result in additional candidates joining the top-tier debate, but the final podium placements will not be known until the eligibility window closes on September 10.

This gives Fiorina, who saw a significant bump in her poll numbers after the first debate, the chance to make the main event and go head-to-head with the big names.

She also singled out two of the other candidates for their support.

Any debate that has Carly Fiorina and Donald Trump on the same stage promises to be attention-worthy! Mark your calendars.

What we need in the White House is a fighter, not someone who rolls over and gives up because a stupid rule is stopping her. And she gives kudos where kudos are due, even to those who sometimes disparage her. That’s what we need desperately in this country.

Is she perfect? No. But she’s the smartest person in the room just about always.

    Go Carly!

I am okay with her being in debates and such, but i dont think we are ready for a female president just yet. I say lets get a breather first. after what barack has done to our country we need to give things time to heal, Im not sure a female president would be the perfect idea at this time.

I think it would be better to get someone that wants to improve america and that is not a career politician. we need someone that can understand the people. Shes a career politician, and i believe most americans are tired of seeing career politicians getting these spots when it could be anyones vote.. but because this hiarchy has made it so hard to get into the ladies and gentleman’s club its time to give someone a chance that isnt in it for the political aspect, give it to someone that wants to fix our country not just get people americanized. we need someone that is willing to deport these folks that are taking advantage of america. thas what we need.

No politician is perfect. but im tired of a career politician getting up there and selling a bill of goods.
