It is a truth universally acknowledged that Joe Biden may not have the lifespan left for a second full term, let alone the cognitive ability to faithfully execute his duties as president right now. But what does that mean for the Biden family, and for Jill Biden in particular?
Victoria Taft, writing for PJ Media, took apart Joe Biden’s old “poor is me” shtick and points out that Jill has been quite the driving force in making sure the money was rolling in. For example, Taft points out that Jill has always worked and had her own income.
The former Delaware high school teacher still maintains her English teaching schedule at the Northern Virginia Community College, where she’s taught since the inception of the Obama administration. She had previously taught English and writing at Delaware Technical Community College. She has “four degrees and five grandchildren,” as Vogue enthused before Hunter’s love child was discovered and he started his second-generation family.
Northern Virginia CC has received more than $120 million in COVID funds from the Trump and Biden White Houses. She receives her $90,000-plus salary from a school foundation to satisfy ethics rules. She’s paid more than most teachers at the community college, according to a salary survey by The Daily Signal.
Combine her salary with Joe’s as a senator (pre-Bidenomics, anyway), and that is a pretty comfortable lifestyle, especially when all the political perks are added in. But as we all know, there was a whole lot of money moving around within the family circle, and Joe and Jill were able to buy a lot of real estate – IN CASH – as time went on.
…the “poorest man in Congress” and his wife owned two homes, including the 4,000-square-foot, six-bedroom Rehobeth Beach, Del., colonial and their ten-acre Wilmington manse “that Joe famously designed himself… with a big swimming pool,” reported a Vogue article entitled, “A First Lady for All of Us: On the Road With Dr. Jill Biden.”
The Rehobeth Beach home bears a sign called “A Promise Kept” because, Jill says, “The promise kept was actually this house! Because [Joe] kept saying, ‘When I write my book, I’ll buy you a beach house.'”
Now we learn that the couple paid $2.74 million cash. That deal went down just days after Hunter Biden demanded the Chinese give the Biden family money, saying he was sitting right next to his father while making the threat.
It seems Joe has a ‘lucky’ streak with homes. The two had previously owned another mansion. “He loves to look at houses. It’s one of his things,” says Jill of Joe.
When Joe was in the Senate, the couple bought a Greenville, Del., mansion Joe dubbed “The Station” for $185,000 in 1974. He was making $42,500 per year as a senator. The house became a Biden Crime Family cash cow. The Bidens sold the home in 1996 for $1.2 million to an MBNA vice president, who doubled as a Biden bundler, gave Hunter a job, and “paid him for years.” The Daily Mail reports that three decades later, the home’s assessment has finally matched the price the Bidens got for it from the MBNA executive in 1996.
That Joe has been making dirty deals since his early days as senator (to the point where he was dubbed “the senator from MBNA“) should come as no shock at this point. The Biden family coffers have been enriched by Joe’s connections, and his ability to leverage those connections into lucrative deals for his family members. After all, can you name one skill that Frank Biden, James Biden, or Hunter Biden have, other than taking naked pictures of themselves (both Hunter and Frank)?
The family business has always been about selling Joe, or selling access to Joe. But Taft then asks, what if it’s been Jill all along?
Call her Jillary.
The reasonable criticism goes that any person who pushes their mentally incapable husband to become president is naturally a bad person committing an act of elder abuse, but Jill Biden’s happy warrior-like smiles may hide something even more sinister. Could Jillary be the force behind the so-called Biden Crime Family?
Now, all of that could very well be true, and Jill could be the driver behind the entire thing. But what happens when Joe is no longer part of this mortal clay? Does Jill have the knowledge, the clout, and the power to keep the gravy train going once Joe is dead?
It has always been my speculation that Joe was never meant to be president, and that the entire Biden political fortunes were going to rest on the shoulders of Beau. The family business of selling access to a politician with power would continue on, and the Biden dynasty would continue onward. Beau’s death put an end to those dreams, but also forced Joe back into the running, when he clearly wasn’t all there any more. But the assumption has been that when Joe is dead, the family business would die with him. After all, there’s no more access to be sold, no more political deals to be made. Or is there?
We have talked about Hunter having access to Joe’s garage, and all those classified documents that were stacked up next to the Corvette. Somewhere along the line, we forgot that Jill lives in that house, too. SHE had just as much access to all of those classified documents as Hunter did – maybe more. Maybe, behind the bad Spanish, the “breakfast tacos” comments, and the willingness to ignore a small girl that happens to be her stepson’s child, is a woman who has kept some notes, knows where some bodies are buried, and will have enough dirt to keep the family business on life support, even when Joe is not.
Maybe the difference between Hillary Clinton and Jill Biden is that Hillary wanted power for herself, and Jill just wants to make sure that the cash flow stays positive.
Now, the flaw in the plan, if Jill wishes to keep the family business going after Joe is gone, is Hunter’s gigantic ego and the thinking that he does with his tiny head. We already know that Hunter and Jill have a somewhat, um, contentious relationship. I can’t imagine that an arrogant dick like Hunter is going to be making phone calls to China saying, “I am sitting next to my stepmother right now, so you had better get that money in my bank account.” I don’t see Hunter being willing to be Jill’s bagman, or continue the bill paying arrangement that was previously the deal between Hunter and Joe.
But maybe Jill is willing to let the family business go. After all, she has built up quite a tidy fortune for herself, plus she will have the clout of being a former First Lady. She can write another memoir – or tell-all, depending on how she feels about Hunter at that point – rake in a little more cash, and live her life. She definitely has the power to cut off Hunter, and her brothers-in-law, from any future financial gains, if she so chooses. I guess eventually we will find out whether Jill Biden is more about the power, or more about the money.
