Joe went off the reservation again. You just knew it was going to happen. With the grand opening of the Obama Center Death Star yesterday, the pander fest was off the charts. It was quite the LOOK AT MEEEEEE! day for Barack and Michelle. With quite a bit of shade thrown at President Trump, because the snots just can’t help themselves.

The land acknowledgements are stupid. It’s pandering at its finest. But then again, the crowd of Democrat celebrities and politicians does nothing BUT pander. And then they built the Death Star anyway.

There were snide lectures about DACA and Dreamers from Michelle, while ignoring that a plot to blow up the White House last week counted a Dreamer in the group. 

Ego-driven speeches from others, and then Barack gets up and snottily lectures the crowd. A crowd that also ignores the millions that contractors, Black contractors at that, are owed. Obama doesn’t care. It’s all about President Selfie. 

In his speech to the crowd Thursday, Obama reflected on his first journey into Chicago as a 23-year-year-old in 1985, coming to the city after being hired as director of the Developing Communities Project. Inspired by Civil Rights leaders before him, Obama said he knew he wanted to make a difference, but wasn’t yet sure of how.

“It was here, in this city — the city of broad shoulders — that I found what I was looking for,” he said. “I found my purpose here and I fortified my faith here and I found my community here.”

The city remained an integral part of his life. He met Michelle in Chicago. They were married here and raised their daughters here. It was in Chicago that he launched his first ever campaign in the 1990s, seeking to become an Illinois state senator, a path, he said “ultimately and improbably led to this day.”

“For me, this center could not be anyplace else,” he said. “It’s an expression of thanks, an acknowledgement that so much of what I hold most dear, I owe to the people of this city, the people of these surrounding neighborhoods.”

Michelle Obama praised her husband’s “stubborn optimism and unflinching courage” as the nation’s first Black president while facing lies about his “birthright, faith and patriotism.”

“And you did it all with such grace, and class and cool,” she said, “that you made the hardest job in the world look like a walk in this beautiful park.”

The park may be, eventually, beautiful. But the gray lump of concrete in the middle of it is a scar on the landscape. 

And again, the swipes at President Trump.

President Selfie wants us to forget Benghazi, the planeloads of cash to Iran, Joe and Hunter’s Burisma shenanigans, Hillary handing U.S. Uranium to Russia with her “reset” button and more. And please applaud for the “peace prize” Obama didn’t earn.

What’s interesting is that both Michelle and Barack spoke glowingly of Joe and Jill during their speeches. However….

And then, Joe went on a walkabout while everyone, including Dr. Jill, left him stranded on the stage. 

They just left him there.

Former President Joe Biden was awkwardly left lingering by himself on stage at the grand opening of the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, tepidly waving at the crowd after the ceremony ended.

A gleeful Obama had waltzed off the stage to the music, followed by a smiling former first lady Jill Biden, while the 46th president stood there seemingly dazed all by himself.

For reasons that aren’t clear, the 83-year-old went over to the podium and took off his sunglasses before staring into the crowd with a puzzled look on his face.

“Where’s my granddaughter?” he shouted.

Everyone on the stage literally left Joe standing there. No one, especially Jill, even tried to direct him off the stage. And so, we get treated to yet another instance of Joe’s dementia on the world stage. Pictures show Jill 30ft away beckoning to him like he’s a 5 year old.

He probably forgot five minutes later that, after supporting him for his run, she’s now decided that his decision was a terrible mistake. Then again, she threw Obama under the bus, yet still got invited to the Death Star pander fest. 

You know, I’m honestly surprised that Joe was looking for his granddaughter, instead of Beau. That would’ve been really on brand for him.
