Beto O’Rouke is the up and coming Texas Congressman who wants to be Senator. He’s, according to many in the media, the new NEW Texas JFK! Complete with a murky past. You see, Beto has a credibility problem.
As we noted here, Beto’s own story about his DWI isn’t as simple as he portrays it. The police reports are very clear. He was completely and utterly blasted and yes, did try to flee the scene. Of course, Beto’s response during his debate with Ted Cruz was a pivot to virtue signaling.
Well now he has new evidence y’all! His passenger, a girl!, can bear witness to the fact that the didn’t try to flee. There was a passenger??!!
Democratic Senate hopeful Beto O’Rourke on Saturday said a passenger in his car when he crashed and was arrested for drunk driving 20 years ago backs up his statement he did not try to flee the scene.

Appearing as the “closing keynote” speaker at TribFest 2018 Saturday night, O’Rourke told Texas Tribune editor in chief and chief executive Evan Smith that he’d recently contacted a female passenger to get her recollection.
Supposedly the police report, according to Beto, is full of errors. Oh, Ok. REALLY?
O’Rourke said of his passenger, “I have not spoken to her in more than 15 years, and [recently] asked her recollection of that evening.”
According to O’Rourke, “she said no, we were in the median of the road. We did not try to flee. I don’t know if there was anywhere that we could’ve gone on a divided highway with four lanes in either direction in a car that was damaged.”
So, let me get this straight.
The police report was incomplete
Beto had a girl with him
We are supposed to take his word for it that she told him that he didn’t try to flee the scene.
In other words, we are supposed to completely believe anything and everything that Beto says about that 1998 DWI and he doesn’t need to offer up any evidence to support it. Shades of Ford/Kavanaugh!

Exactly! Not only that, but the Washington Post fact checked his original DWI story and slammed him with not one, but FOUR Pinocchios. OUCH.
Beto and the rest of the campaign folks were too busy jamming with Willie Nelson to respond to inquiries wanting to know who the girl was in Beto’s car.
“On the road again.” Heh
Beto has another problem with credibility. In that same debate with Ted Cruz, Beto talked about a student from the Panhandle who was deported. Except ….she wasn’t.
And even that version, it turns out, got key facts wrong.
The honor student in question was actually the valedictorian.
She spoke the language.
It happened a decade ago, not recently.
And most importantly, said Yamile Guerrero Rosales, “I wasn’t deported, but I had to figure life out on my own for six months with a baby,” stuck in Juarez, Mexico, until her paperwork came through. [Emphasis Added]
In other words, Yamile, according to law, had to go reside in Mexico for six to nine months to reestablish residency before being allowed back into the US to become a citizen. So NO, she wasn’t deported.
Dear God, this story. Classic. Talks abt someone he’s never met, no name, wrong decade, wrong facts. @RepBetoORourke that’s called fiction & lying to the debate audience. https://t.co/gEJvz4pJqS

Well, remember, the top skill for a politician is to be able to lie for emotional impact. This is just him practicing his skills.

Why yes, his skill set is improving. But that isn’t something to be applauded.
Beto O’Rourke has a major credibility problem. If he is so willing to lie about easily debunked incidents from his past, what else is he willing to lie about?

How dare you criticize the veracity of “Beto” (an obviously ethnic name indicating minority status)!
It must have happened exactly as he remembers it, no matter how he remembers it.
The fascist police have obviously altered their report in response to his anti police rhetoric.
Feelings!
The girl, who didn’t have any recollection until she recently spent 6 days in therapy with a lawyer recommended by a Democrat US Senator, cannot remember where they had been, where they were going or what they had been doing, but is 100% certain that Brent Kavanaugh wrecked the car.
