We are seeing an escalation of internet, verbal, and even physical attacks on current and former members of the Trump Administration. This escalation has been encouraged and promoted by celebrities, Maxine Waters, and far too many others on the Left. The latest involved Steve Bannon.
A bookstore owner in Richmond said he called the police after a woman confronted Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist for President Donald Trump, in his shop Saturday.
Nick Cooke, owner of Black Swan Books on West Main Street in the Fan District, said Bannon was in the bookstore Saturday afternoon and that a woman confronted him, calling him a “piece of trash.”
Cooke said he called 911 and that the woman left as he made the call.
“Steve Bannon was simply standing, looking at books, minding his own business. I asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t. And I said, ‘I’m going to call the police if you don’t,’ and I went to call the police and she left,” Cooke said. “And that’s the end of the story.”
It absolutely SHOULD’VE been the end of the story. But it wasn’t. Here was a guy, no longer with the Trump Administration, minding his own business when some absolutely rude leftist decided to verbally harass him in the middle of a business. The business owner had every right to tell her to stop and ask her to leave.
Phillippe Reines, former Hillary Clinton aide, thought otherwise and he tossed this up on Twitter:
A woman saw Steve Bannon in a VA book store. She took the opportunity to call him a “piece of trash.”
Nick Cooke, the owner of Black Swan Books, called the police.

It’s not. It doesn’t matter that the bookstore’s contact information is on their website. What DOES matter is that Reines would rather have had Cooke call the cops on Bannon instead of the rude leftist shrill harpy who, in her attack on Bannon, disturbed the shopping experience of the others in the store.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders is driven from a restaurant by the owner. DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen is driven from a Mexican restaurant in D.C. by an angry mob.
What do they ALL have in common? The Democrat Left.
Yet good ole Phillippe wants us to know that he wasn’t really ummm, you know, calling for the Black Swan bookstore to be harassed and stuff. Nope, you see, because their contact information is readily available, it’s ok to publish and it won’t be his fault if the angry mob shuts the business down.

It’s incredibly obvious that Reines is a fan of whomever that woman is. It’s also incredibly obvious that Reines believes the Black Swan owner went after the wrong person.

Exactly. The Democrat lefties want anyone and everyone who is on the Right, or has had anything to do past or current with the Trump Administration, to be harassed and driven from the public view in any way possible.
Don’t give me that crap about providing a public service. A woman didn’t peacefully go to Bannon and quietly say, “you’re a piece of trash.” Instead she created a major scene. But that doesn’t matter to Phillippe. Not all all. Reines wanted the mob to go after Nick Cooke and they are.
Phillippe Reines has every right to be a flaming jerk. He doesn’t have to like Steve Bannon, and he can disagree with how the Black Swan handled the situation. But what he SHOULDN’T have done is encourage the mob.
