Mexico’s Foreign Minister, Luis Videgaray, has stated that his country will not accept the Trump Administration’s plans to deport illegal immigrants in the United States to Mexico. The illegal immigrants would be deported to Mexico regardless of their home countries. As reported by The Guardian:
Tens of thousands of migrants – mostly from Central America, but increasingly from further afield – transit Mexico annually in attempts to reach the US border. Mexico has turned enforcer, imposing the Southern Border Plan in 2014 to detain and deport migrants transiting Mexican territory, even as it doggedly defends its own nationals at risk of deportation in the United States.
Additionally, The Guardian reports:
Mexico has indicated it will not accept the Trump administration’s new immigration proposals, saying it will go to the United Nations to defend the rights of immigrants in the US.
“Ruh roh, Shaggy”, both Mexico and the United Nations coming after us? “Jinkies!” Donald Trump has an idea. Send in Secretary of State Rex Tillerson (aka Big Oil Man) and head of the Department of Homeland Security John Kelly (Marine). They will whisper sweet nothings into the ears of both Foreign Minister Videgaray and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. Tillerson and Kelly will do it emissary style.
The Business Standard is also reporting on the Mexico deportation disruption. In an article entitled “Rex Tillerson in Mexico to hold talks with Pena Nieto to ‘soothe tensions'”, Business Standard has the actual quote from Minister Videgaray:
“I want to say clearly and emphatically that the government of Mexico and the Mexican people do not have to accept provisions that one government unilaterally wants to impose on the other,” he told reporters at the foreign ministry.
“We also have control of our borders and we will exercise it fully,” he said.
Let the negotiations begin. The Art of the Deal.
“In most cases I’m very easy to get along with. I’m very good to people who are good to me. But when people treat me badly or unfairly or try to take advantage of me, my general attitude, all my life, has been to fight back very hard.” Donald J. Trump, The Art of the Deal.
Mexico has been taking advantage of the United States for a long time. Mexico is a country that is not in control of anything.
DHS’s Kelly and State’s Tillerson need to have a “come to Jesus” meeting with the Mexican officials. I mean my Lord and Savior meeting not a meeting with someone named Jesus (that would be racist). They need to hit the Mexican officials hard and leave no doubt that a wall will be built and Mexico will pay for it. Mexico also needs to get control of her Southern border and get control “andele”.
I’ll be over here with my “Scooby Snacks” watching. My money is on Tillerson and Kelly over Nieto and Videgaray.
Without remittances from illegal aliens Mexico would be in a state of perpetual revolution. Time for us to stop being the junta’s safety vavle.
And this is why we should tell the UN to get out. We need to insist on our SOVEREIGNTY as a nation. I know it’s a progressive dream to have one-world government, but I don’t care. Freedom is more important.
I would go to Mexico and let them know “you can help us with this, or you can face us hammering you every chance we get. And you need us a lot more than we need you.”
“We also have control of our borders and we will exercise it fully,” he said.
Ummm, no, you don’t. At least if you aren’t actually encouraging invasion of our country by your citizens, you don’t. If you are encouraging an invasion, then you’re committing an act of war. My reaction to that would not be something Mexico would like.
