It is election day; and what a pivotal and momentous day this will be if Democrats are finally routed from their entrenched power seats in the Senate. As politically beleaguered Americans go to the polls to decide whether they support our nation’s current downward spiral, or seek to stop a runaway Obama train destined to lead us all into the mother-of-all train wrecks, the GOP may be given the golden opportunity to represent our citizenry and grow some cojones to do the latter. American voters are clearly anxious and angry as they appear set to deliver less of a win to the Republican party, and more of a blow to the Obama administration’s wildly unpopular policies such as Obamacare and its uncompromising stance on illegal immigration/amnesty. They also will be expressing their deep dissatisfaction with the economy, unsecured borders, the Ebola situation, and our embarrassing and dangerously inept foreign policy. As of late Monday, several polls are predicting a GOP takeover of the Senate while also maintaining control of the House. According to November 3 polling data reported by the Washington Post:
“There’s at least a seven in ten chance that Republicans will net the six seats the party needs to reclaim the Senate majority heading into the 114th Congress, according to the three major election models that aim to forecast the results of Tuesday’s vote.
The Washington Post’s Election Lab model casts the Republican takeover as a near certainty, giving it a 96 percent probability of happening. Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight model says Republicans have a 73 percent chance at the majority, while LEO, the New York Times model, pegs it at 68 percent.”
If the Washington Post is too conservative to be believed, here is recent polling data from CNN:
“Republicans’ chances of winning control of the Senate in Tuesday’s midterm elections are now up to 95%, according to CNN’s Pivit, an analysis that combines experts’ projections with political watchers’ predictions on key races.”
If Republicans do win control of both the Senate and the House, they have their work cut out for them and in spades. The first priority, should obstructionist-extraordinaire Senator Harry Reid be given the well-deserved boot, is to stop Obama from granting illegal amnesty by executive fiat in a bid to change the voting demographics in the US and further enslave its citizenry. In a Fox News article written by Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), he emphatically stresses the dangers of allowing Barrack Obama to pass an illegal amnesty for millions living in this country at every American tax payer’s expense, with the allowance of millions more over the next ten years. From Senator Sessions article:
“A nation’s first loyalty must be to its own citizens.
But the immigration policies of President Obama and Congressional Democrats help only billionaire special interests, amnesty activists, and the citizens of other countries – while reducing jobs and pay for our own.
Every single Senate Democrat voted for the Obama-backed plan to provide immediate work permits to 12 million illegal immigrants – allowing them to compete for any job in America. This legislation would also double the rate at which low-wage guest workers are brought into the U.S. to fill jobs throughout the economy.
Further, the legislation would triple the rate of permanent immigration, giving lifetime work permits and citizenship to over 30 million immigrants over the next ten years.”
So much for a recovering economy. And since we know the majority of illegal immigrants can’t speak English and will not provide much in the way of taxable revenue, they’ll naturally have to be taken care of via government “programs” and “subsidies”; and we all know who will be burdened with that. Senator Sessions goes on to say:
“In fact, these immigration lobbyists have so little regard for you, that they are meeting in secret with the White House right now to plan executive amnesty orders. These orders, planned for after the election, would implement, by executive fiat, the sweeping amnesty that was rejected by the Republican House.
The planned order would include work permits for millions of illegal immigrants while substantially boosting the supply of new foreign labor– taking precious jobs directly from struggling Americans.”
I wholeheartedly agree with Senator Sessions. A nation’s first loyalty should and must be to its own citizens; and as American citizens, we must all put politics aside and see illegal immigration amnesty as the single greatest threat facing our nation. If we think the welfare population too great to sustain now, how on earth will our shrinking middle class continue to exist? Is this perhaps by design? Obama has said nothing will stop him from signing this executive order. According to a recent bit of sympathetic pandering at Politico, the administration promises to not go quietly into the night should the Republicans win big, and says:
“Administration officials tell us that Obama’s political and policy teams are planning a big counterattack if the Republicans win the Senate—introducing a slate of legislative proposals and executive actions on immigration, infrastructure and early childhood education that are popular with the Democratic base and that he will dare the GOP to oppose.”
Social agendas at the cost of the American people. Destruction of this nation with the stroke of a pen and a political temper-tantrum. Is the demise of the middle class the goal? Revolutionary communist Vladimir Lenin once said, “The way to crush the bourgeoisie (middle class) is to grind them down between the millstones of taxation and inflation.”
Sounds horribly familiar and close to home on this election day. This is our opportunity to put an end to the insane policies that bode no good thing for the America people and our country. Let’s get out and vote for the party that hasn’t supported these agendas and hold their feet to the fire to represent We the People. It’s time to start the healing process in this great nation of ours and demand reversal of all the damage that has been inflicted upon us.
I certainly hope the Republicans take the whole of Congress-maybe then they will finally function as an opposition party. Because of the fact that they haven’t since the Emperor was first enthroned I don’t expect a great deal of change but I expect, hell I DEMAND, some. And there’s always hope they will listen to their voters. If they do take Congress and continue to do nothing to at least slow the Obozo trainwreck then I will probably be done with voting until a viable 3rd party comes out. This is the Republicans’ last shot at proving they are relevant-let’s hope they don’t blow it.
I agree with you 100%. I believe most truly conservative voters feel this way. That is the mandate: to stop the insanity NOW. If they don’t, we’re heading irrevocably towards another 1776; especially if there is no viable third party. And I know no one wants that to happen.
Exactly. George III was never THIS bad!
I’d take George III any day over the dangerously delusional psychopath we have in our White House.
Same here!
