SPLC Bryan Fair was grilled by lawmakers yesterday. His tap dancing around the questions was one for the books. He desperately tried to avoid answering questions about the SPLC funding KKK organizations, funding bad actors at the Unite The Right rally in Charlottesville, and more.
The embattled Southern Poverty Law Center’s CEO, Bryan Fair, appeared Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee for a grilling over Justice Department allegations that the ostensibly anti-racism group secretly funded the extremism it claims to oppose.
Fair broadly defended the center while declining to answer for specific alleged wrongdoing — after the DOJ in April filed fraud and conspiracy charges alleging millions in donor funds flowed to hate groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, and National Socialist Party of America.
“All the allegations in the indictment will be addressed in the Middle District of Alabama,” Fair said repeatedly throughout nearly four hours of testimony — as prominent defense attorney Abbe Lowell sat behind him to provide support.
Keep in mind, the indictment laid out what many of us have known for a very long time. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) abandoned its mission decades ago. That became very apparent a few years ago when the SPLC started labeling pro-lifers and parents as racist. It became more apparent when their “lists” of racist organizations included Christian organizations such as the Family Research Center, and conservative organizations such as Turning Point USA.
But now, with the indictment, we find that the SPLC took donor money and funded racist organizations. Because, of course they did.
It’s accused, for instance, of bankrolling the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, paying a leader nearly $300,000 to post racist messages, organize, and even transport people to the infamous Charlottesville protest, where one person was killed.
In another instance, a pair of white supremacists who approached the SPLC about leaving the Ku Klux Klan were encouraged to stay in the group and recruit new members.
The two men were given salaries and allegedly reimbursed for the costs of their activities, including those “incurred for cross-burning events, to include the wood and fuel used.”
The SPLC “hate maps” not only included TPUSA, it included the Alliance for Defending Freedom. That organization has led the fight for years on behalf of Colorado’s Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakes.
Do you see the pattern here? It’s glaringly obvious. But Bryan Fair doesn’t want to acknowledge it on any level. For example, the assertion that it is the PRO-LIFERS who are the racist ones. Brandon Gill laid down some very uncomfortable truths for Fair and the SPLC.

According to the SPLC in their 2024 report, the anti-abortion movement is now anti-democratic, racist, full of white supremacists, and dangerously militant. Only one problem with that. The data shows that it is the black community that suffers the most from abortions. In 2022 nearly 40% of the babies aborted were black. 40%.
This is the kind of crap that our media and the Democrat establishment has been fed and that they believe without question. Meanwhile, the SPLC used donor funds for highly questionable activities. Such as Charlottesville.
Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.) brought up the DOJ’s allegations that the SPLC helped foment and fund transportation to the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va., which resulted in the death of an anti-racism activist and two police officers who died in a helicopter crash.
She asked Fair if he considered the tragic outcome “a very successful day for the SPLC.”
“SPLC doesn’t foment hate,” he said.
“Well, that day you did,” she retorted.
“You fomented the hate, and then you made bank of it, off of it, about $80 million in the following months after that rally, but you didn’t just make a ton of money that day, three people actually died.”
Hageman said that “a lack of such discrimination and hatred would render the SPLC’s existence obsolete — and that is largely what happened in America.”
“The braintrust at SLC came up with their own unique solution to this conundrum. They decided to fund the very hatred that they claim to be fighting against, and like magic, the money has continued to roll in,” she said.
The Democrats on the committee desperately tried to provide cover for Fair and the SPLC. Jamie Raskin really didn’t like the questions Republicans were asking and interrupted multiple times.
Isn’t it telling that some of the most virulent hate organizations are …NOT on the SPLC hate map?
Raskin REALLY wasn’t a fan of Brandon Gill asking Fair about Graham Platner’s Totenkopf Hitler tattoo.
You can hear how upset and frustrated the SPLC is at being led by Brandon Gill into denouncing a Democratic political candidate for having a Nazi tattoo

Really sums up what that organization has become pic.twitter.com/vmbFadq9HJ
He finally admitted that Platner should be disqualified, but you know he didn’t want to actually say it out loud. Platner, is of course, a Democrat darling. He’s a “good” Nazi you see. And the SPLC has no problem with that. Given their history, that’s not surprising.

Evidently, the only thing Bryan Fair had to say in response to any question was either refer to the indictment and case in Alabama for future answers, or level a new unfounded accusation in hopes of saving his ass.

The SPLC has been “fighting” bigotry and hate by … funding bigotry and hate. You know the organization is desperate when Bryan Fair tries to deflect by declaring that the U.S. government is full of racists.

Well, lets be honest, he is correct about the US doctor being full of racists.. take a look at the ” squad”, Mad Maxine Waters, pretty much all of the elected democrats, and of course the deep state who are far and away comprised of democrats… his error is in which direction that racism is directed..
Other than that, hea a complete liar, as is the SLPC as a whole..
I notice a reoccurring irony in names matching a desired persona as is the case with MR.FAIR
