By now, you’ve heard Ilhan Omar skipped a fraud hearing. And, of course, Omar and her husband shuttered their California “winery”. Now, a failed subpoena vote has Minnesota lawmakers looking at other options.

We have reached out to Representative Ilhan Omar on multiple occasions, inviting her to testify and inviting and requesting documents. We have endeavored in multiple ways to get access to [information] because, as everyone knows, Representative Omar had had some role, whether inadvertent or not. She passed the MEALS Act in March of 2020, and that took the guardrails off the federal school nutrition program, which created the conditions for [fraud].

I do think the subpoena is important. This is one of dozens, if not hundreds of things we are investigating. We have had hundreds of whistleblower reports. They continue to come in weekly. Even though the committee will no longer have official hearings we will continue to investigate these whistleblower reports and webs of fraud.”

Same story, different day. Robbins is currently seeking documents linking Omar to the massive Feeding Our Future fraud case in Minnesota. The very court documents that mentioned Ilhan Omar give or take-about six times.

Speculation about whether or not Ilhan Omar had a hand in the scam? C’mon. OF COURSE, she did!

There were the convenience store owners that sent kickbacks to Feeding Our Future employees and fudged numbers of “meals fed” to those in need.

Then, there’s the Safari Restaurant in her district.

Abdulkadir Nur Salah, 38, of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, and Abdi Nur Salah, 37, of St. Paul, Minnesota, knowingly participated in a scheme to defraud a federal child nutrition program designed to provide free meals to children in need. The co-conspirators obtained, misappropriated, and laundered millions of dollars in program funds that were intended as reimbursements for the cost of serving meals to children. The defendants exploited changes in the program intended to ensure underserved children received adequate nutrition during the Covid-19 pandemic. Rather than feed children, the defendants took advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic—and the resulting program changes—to enrich themselves by fraudulently misappropriating millions of dollars in federal child nutrition program funds.”-Justice.gov

Omar was a “regular” at Safari Restaurant. Omar even held campaign events at The Safari Restaurant. Maybe she actually got a meal there. Unlike the $250 million dollars worth of phantom meals that were “served to the children” during God-awful COVID.

Wow! She was involved in the Feeding Our Future Scam. She’s acting like the restaurant is doing free volunteer work. They billed the govt for hundreds of millions and claimed to be feeding more kids than were enrolled in Mpls schools.

Robbins thinks there’s still hope to nab Omar…but not much. I would say ghosting an appearance and walking your “wealth” back are both very guilty behaviors. Avoiding questioning and transparency is also an admission of said guilt. Rules for others but not for Ilhan Omar. Who is protecting her? If one of us got subpoenaed, for whatever reason, and failed to comply, we’d be handcuffed by now. This is someone in public office, a public servant, if you will, collecting a salary off the backs of Americans who is flat-out ignoring fraud hearings and subpoenas. “Despite a Republican majority”? Really?

Ilhan Omar walks this earth on our turf and thinks she is above reproach. Her actions and avoidance say it all. Her behavior clearly indicates that she is someone who, in this case, did something.

I’d say they for sure need to look long and hard at those “other options” to get Omar where they want her. This wishy-washy, pussyfooting, hemming and hawing isn’t doing any of us good here. How’s about the nuclear option, Ms. Robbins?
