Take a break from recovering from the Christmas chaos. Whether that means bidding farewell to relatives who’ve outlasted their welcome or finding glitter from wrapping paper in places you didn’t know glitter could reach.
It looks like Joe Biden is done for the year. Surprise.
So here’s a quick blog post highlighting some of 2024’s best (or most cringe-worthy) political plot twists.
Feel free to share your favorites (or gripes) in the comments below.

And speaking of debates, let’s start there.
This leaves the Democrats in a weird spot, having to replace Joe Biden as the candidate.
Kamala Harris was “installed” as the Democratic candidate with all the subtlety of a plot twist in a soap opera. Her ascension wasn’t so much about a groundswell of grassroots support but more about finding someone who could be in the spotlight without necessarily doing anything. No one was buying any of it.
However, the most surprising twist is that Donald Trump has found a new way to reach the masses—podcasts. Sure, he still held his signature rallies in places like Butler, Pennsylvania, but jumping onto everyday people’s podcasts? That was pure genius.
Donald is cozying up with influencers in casual studios, dishing out his signature blend of bold takes and brash charm to a younger, podcast-obsessed crowd. It’s a new era of communication, and it’s not just about policy but the vibe.
Donald Trump’s stamina and relentless drive to connect with the people, no matter the platform, is one of the reasons his supporters keep coming back. He’s high-energy, unapologetically direct, and never bothers with sugar-coating. What you see is what you get, and for better or worse, he speaks confidently, suggesting he knows precisely what he’s talking about—even when others might not agree.
The summer of 2024 was a whirlwind of fast-moving, headline-grabbing stories at every turn. Among the most shocking was the assassination attempts on Donald Trump. After Kamala was appointed the Democratic presidential candidate, it felt like the writing was on the wall—it was game over, and we were left to watch the much-anticipated red wave finally roll in.
Thank goodness.
And don’t worry—I am sure we’ll be back with more lists before the end of the year.
