MSNBC gave some interesting reasons as to why Morning Joe is not on the air today.

MSNBC will not air “Morning Joe,” its celebrated politics roundtable program, on Monday, opting to instead air continued breaking news coverage of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

The progressive news network confirmed the decision to preempt its influential and top-rated morning show after a CNN inquiry Sunday evening. The network said the show will resume airing Tuesday.

Today is the start of the RNC Convention in Milwaukee and we are emerging from a weekend in which President Trump was nearly assassinated, and Joe Biden gave three very tepid statements on the matter. So one would think that Morning Joe will be heavily involved in today’s news cycle. That is not the case. 

And the reason, which MSNBC admitted to, is raising eyebrows all over the place. 

A source familiar with the decision told CNN that Morning Joe was axed Monday in order to avoid a potential situation in which one of the program’s guests makes an inappropriate comment that could be used to criticize the show or the network. The decision was reportedly made by NBCUniversal News Group chairman Cesar Conde in conjunction with MSNBC president Rashida Jones, as well as Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

Read that again. Morning Joe was yanked temporarily because the network was afraid Joe, Mika, or one of their guests would go on the wrong kind of rant against Donald Trump. For once that admission, while certainly stunning, is true. Joe and Mika along with many of their guests have long been toxic in speech and tone when it comes to Trump. 

The first Trump campaign truly broke their brains, and it got worse from there. This is Joe last November.

In March the Morning Joe team with an assist from George Conway compared January 6 to Kristallnacht and declared that the female Fox News hosts play with Eva Braun Barbie dolls. Yes, really. 

And there’s a full transcript for the doubters to read lest anyone think I’m just making all of this up in order to dunk on the Democrat media left. 

Given how Mika specifically is all in for Joe Biden to win in November while painting Donald Trump as the one with the vile cruel heart, she’s got to be pissed that she’s not on the air this morning defending her guy, as she and Joe did the other week.

DANG! That was painful then, and even worse now. But again, back to MSNBC’s admission that one of their premier shows was yanked today because of potential wrong speak… 

Morning Joe was ground zero for comparisons of Trump to Hitler. Mika, Joe, and its litany of lunatic guests did it constantly.

Yes indeed. They’ve been doing this since 2016 when Trump started his first campaign. But suddenly, Joe and Mika need a day of solemn reflection? 

On what planet does MSNBC decide it cannot trust their flagship brand-name morning anchors to cover the most important story on the planet? What are they afraid of? One wonders what has already been said behind the scenes that raised alarms.

That was my thought exactly! What were they all saying over the weekend behind the scenes? The internal comms must’ve been something else for this to happen. 

Essentially MSNBC is telling us that Mika, Joe, and any of their guests who consistently appear on their show, such as George Conway, cannot be trusted to handle themselves professionally with this very very big news story. 

One thing I can guarantee you is this, Joe and Mika will learn nothing from their day of navel gazing. Just wait until tomorrow and you’ll see what I mean.
