GUILTY. Honestly, I wasn’t sure the jury would reach this conclusion. But they did, and now Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison.
Guilty, guilty, guilty.
Hunter Biden became the first child of a sitting president to be convicted of a crime after a federal jury found him guilty of lying about his drug use in order to buy a gun.
The panel of six men and six women ruled President Biden’s 54-year-old son knowingly fibbed on a gun application form that he did not use controlled substances before walking out of a Wilmington shop with a Colt Cobra .38-caliber revolver on Oct. 12, 2018.
So much for Jill’s support and intimidation factor during the trial. Hunter’s own well-documented pattern of behavior that even HE wrote about in his memoir, and had extensively catalogued in the completely verified laptop is what sunk his boat here.

What’s somewhat delicious about this is that the jury was absolutely unanimous on the verdict. Now the question is, how much jail time will Hunter actually get?
Biden faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years but is much more likely to receive two years or less — or even no prison time at all, because he is a first-time offender and the crimes involved only a single gun that was never used violently. Judge Maryellen Noreika, who oversaw the trial, will determine the sentence at a hearing in the next few months.
There will be Democrats running for the microphones to blast Republicans and conservatives for stating that the justice system is rigged. And, as I’m writing this, Democrats are doing exactly as predicted.

Except that Hunter and his team are on record for gaming THIS particular trial and had it implode last summer due to their legal shenanigans that showed a complete disregard for the rule of law.
Equal justice AFTER you get caught trying to stack the deck is not the flex they think it is.

Joe, after his disastrous tour of France during the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and freezing up during last night’s Juneteenth festival at the White House, was supposed to discuss gun control today. Is that still going to happen?
U.S. President Joe Biden will announce on Tuesday that the Department of Justice has charged more than 500 defendants with violating gun trafficking and straw purchasing provisions of a new gun safety law enacted two years ago, the White House said.

He will tell survivors of gun violence, mayors, parents, educators and concerned citizens about his administration’s work to get illegal guns off the streets, hire more police officers and promote accountable policing and community violence intervention programs, the White House said.
How about those guns obtained illegally when someone LIES on the license application like his son did?? Any consequences for that??
What will Joe and Jill have to say in response to this verdict? Behold their pre-written statement.
“As I said last week, I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today,” Biden said in a statement.
“So many families who have had loved ones battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery. As I also said last week, I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal,” he said.
“Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that,” he added.
In other words, ‘we’ve spoken now shut up about Hunter.’ Uh huh, nice try.
Joe is on record regarding whether or not Hunter will get pardoned…

I guess it will all depend upon when the sentencing hearing takes place, plus what the results of the election are. Further, if Joe wants to be able to pardon his son, despite all the chatter that continues to ramp up, he cannot drop out of the race now.
What will Joe and Jill do now to further enable Hunter? How about Kevin Morris, who has been footing Hunter’s bills to the tune of millions these last couple of years? As Hunter faces sentencing and an upcoming tax fraud trial, will that gravy train continue or come to a screeching halt?
The thing is, while this guilty verdict is a welcome decision, we still need to keep our eyes on the ball.
Don't get it twisted — they went after Hunter on this, so they don't have to go after him on crimes that would bring down Biden.

Don't take your eyes off the ball.
Yes indeed. Furthermore, as Greg Price points out, while this verdict is on point, other more serious charges regarding his tax situation and the statute of limitations was allowed to expire. Why? Because that would’ve meant digging deep in the Biden Family Brand and no one evidently wanted to stick a toe in THOSE waters.
I’m sure that this guilty verdict also wasn’t a surprise to Hunter and his legal team. Why else would they have decided to keep him off the witness stand?
And, according the rules set forth by the Democrats, we can now continually refer to Hunter as Twice-convicted felon Hunter Biden.
