Seattle Antifa Join Pro-Hamas Crowd For Rally Confrontation

As an alumnus of the University of Washington in Seattle, it’s beyond embarrassing what the current administration has allowed the pro-Hamas brats to do on campus. And then Antifa decided that they wanted in on the fun.

A pro-Israel rally was planned for Sunday afternoon in Red Square on the main Seattle campus (named for the color of the bricks, not the Communists, shockingly), hosted by a local church and in cooperation with pro-Israel groups. The rally was announced well ahead of time, so the university and the pro-Hamas encampment all knew they were coming. The plan was for the pro-Israel rally to walk through the encampment (located on the Quad, a public space surrounded by several school buildings) on their way back to the church. The university’s administration, headed up by the feckless President Ana Mari Cauce, first asked the encampment nicely to disperse. When they didn’t, guess what the university did? They gave the encampment bicycle racks in order to create barricades to keep the marchers out. This was all documented by local reporter and Discovery Institute Senior Fellow Jonathan Choe on Saturday, as it was becoming obvious that this encampment (which is not exactly “student-led“) had been fully infiltrated by black bloc Antifa.

So, even with barricades up, and campus police guarding the precious little Antifa/Hamas encampment, the rally went on. For the record, the police department involved was NOT the Seattle Police Department. The University of Washington has its own police department (along with its own zip code), but the UW police were being backed up by the Washington State Patrol.

The rally itself? It was bigger than the Antifa/Hamas protest group, loud, proud, and patriotic. Just listen to these clips from the rally’s main organizer, Pastor Russell Johnson of Pursuit Church. Yes, these words were spoken in the middle of Seattle, with a loudspeaker.

But because the university had let Antifa/Hamas barricade itself into the Quad, complete with campus police guarding the protesters, it meant that the planned march wasn’t going through the Quad. And when the two sides confronted each other, with barricades and police standing in between, it was clear that one side was absolutely spoiling for a fight and wanted some serious violence to go down – and it was the side that the police were PROTECTING.

The UW police department was – and probably still is – stuck. They likely have been told by the university administration to keep the peace and not arrest or provoke the protesters. And if that means ignoring actual threats, or refusing to intervene for anything like theft. In an incident that is both hilarious and infuriating, local radio host and editor at The Post Millennial, Ari Hoffman, had an American flag stolen right off him by a sneaky little activist bastard who thought he woul
d get a flag for the group. The problem is, once he jumped back over the barricades to his Antifa homies, they began to assault him because they thought he was with the marchers!

That video is the entire day in a nutshell. Antifa was “armed” and ready to beat anyone who got in their way. And the second they thought their barricade had been “breached,” they went running to attack. And the police just… stood there. And they also refused to do anything about the theft.

The march eventually did move on from the UW Seattle campus and marched to the end location, Pursuit Church. Though in my opinion, the organizers should have had an alternate plan in place when it became obvious that Antifa, aided by the police they love to scream at, wasn’t going to let the march through the Quad. That plan should have been to march around the Quad seven times and then yell. Not that Antifa or these Hamas LARPers would get the Biblical reference. However, Antifa wasn’t quite ready to give up on the day.

How disappointing. They came all ready to fight with their black clothes and gas masks and umbrellas, and then they mostly hid behind barricades to act like animals in a zoo, protected by the police. Aside from threats and the theft of a flag, there were no reported physical incidents, and apparently no arrests. The pro-Israel march was loud and peaceful, the Antifa/Hamas Quad occupiers were loud and frothing at the mouth, and the police will count the day as a success because no one got hurt, and they refused to arrest anyone.

What happens now at the Seattle campus of the University of Washington? For starters, Ana Mari Cauce needs to be fired or quit. While she has been pretty upfront with the protesters about their demands to “divest,” especially from Boeing (not happening, everyone), asking the protesters to please leave is not working, and her entire attitude about the Sunday march and allowing Antifa/Hamas to barricade public property with police protection is just insane. The encampment, which even the organizers admit is made up of students and “community members,” say they aren’t going anywhere unless their demands are met. Since we have already established that their demands are not going to be met, President Cauce needs to either tell them all to pack up their tents and go with the threat of discipline or arrest, or quit her job and let someone else do it. Every day, the university gets closer to being the next Columbia. It’s clear that she’s hoping the LARPers get bored and pack up and go home once the quarter comes to an end and graduation is past. What she doesn’t seem to realize is that the professional anarchists have gotten involved now. Antifa is going to find a way to make the administration’s lives miserable. Since graduation is held at Husky Stadium, which will be a ticketed event with a “clear bag policy,” it is unlikely that graduation will be disrupted – but Antifa could raise a ruckus outside the venue. President Cauce either needs to get this shit finished and under control, or lose her very cushy position despite her intersectionality.

Seattle might be a lost cause, but the university sure does love those federal tax dollars – and is already under investigation for Title VI violations. Under a different administration, colleges and universities would be having their funding immediately yanked – and the fear of losing that money would have them cracking down. But with a pathetically two-faced Biden administration, an investigation being opened doesn’t seem to be inspiring much on the part of academia. Which means that this all will end in lawsuits. It’s time to see just how much money the football team makes, because it won’t be able to save the university when someone gets hurt, or is able to score an especially large legal judgment.

Seems like a real opportunity…. Some entrepreneurial should acquire a semi-load of feral hogs from Texas, drive them up to the university, and release them into the encampment…

Of course they should only do this after making sure they had enough popcorn and beer stands around the area, as normies will need refreshments while watching the ensuing show…

Dude…feral hogs have standards and you could be charged with animal cruelty.

Nah, they’re considered a nuisance animal down there, and will eat damn near anything.. and if the “menu” is too nasty even for them, at least they can have fun running through the encampment and tearing shit up…
