Biden And Xi: What To Watch For

San Francisco is busy transforming their trash-hole of a city ahead of the Asian-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) and Joe Biden is scheduled to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping today.

Of course, the City of San Francisco is pulling out all of the stops to make this event extra secure for the dignitaries arriving for APEC and convening at San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel. Barriers were erected around some areas of the sanctuary city (cough), streets have been closed and sidewalks have been gated off. Yep, we are sure the poo and the needles have been cleaned up, too. Can’t have anyone getting robbed at gunpoint, now can we?

The meet-up between Biden and Xi will actually happen south of San Francisco at Filoli Estate, about 25 minutes south of San Francisco. Will Biden present Xi will a balloon-o-gram and a “sorry I called you a dictator” card?

This will be Xi Jinping’s first visit to the U.S. in six years, and The Hill is giving us five things to look out for in this “high stakes” meeting. We have our own theories on how all of this will pan out. Our guess? The White House and the news puppets will push anything glaring under the carpet. First on the list:

1. Resuming military-to-military communications

The Chinese have been ‘reluctant’ to resume the communication channels, according to senior administration officials, so Biden will go into the meeting with plans to ‘press assertively’ on reestablishing them, officials said.”-Alex Gangitano and Brett Samuels, The Hill

The Chinese are “reluctant”. They’re the hapless victims here? Who flew spy balloons into our airspace? Their CCP narrative may work with the people of China, but not us. And, really? Joe Biden “pressing assertively”? The only thing Joe Biden “presses assertively” for these days is any speaking engagement before 6pm.

Biden said it himself. That it would be a “successful meeting” if he and Xi could get back on a normal course of corresponding, “being able to pick up the phone and talk to one another when there’s another crisis, being able to make sure our militaries still have contact with one another.”

It’s not like it was in the good ol’ days when Joe was laundering money from China with Hunter. Thorny subject? Yeah, we know. Speaking of thorny, in rolls thing #2 (you know the thing):

2. Tensions around Taiwan

(The President) will “set out a vision for peace and stability and the maintenance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.”-National security adviser Jake Sullivan

Dear God. If this “vision” is like Joe Biden’s “vision” for this country, look out. Joe Biden, the visionary! Whatever would we do without the foreign policy prowess of Joe Biden! Which brings us to…

3. China’s role in global conflicts

President Biden will make the point to President Xi that Iran acting in an escalatory, destabilizing way that undermines stability across the broader Middle East is not in the interests of — of the [People’s Republic of China (PRC)] or of any other responsible country.

And the PRC, of course, has a relationship with Iran, and it’s capable, if it chooses to, of making those points directly to the Iranian government.”-Jake Sullivan

Hopefully, Jake will be running interference. What point will Biden be trying to make? That Corn Pop was a bad dude? On to point #4:

Competing while avoiding conflict

Patrick Cronin, Asia-Pacific security chair at Hudson Institute, described the focus on managing competition as a ‘very realistic, resilient framework’ that the White House has built. He noted that Xi sees this meeting coming at a time to strengthen his economy, which has been reportedly struggling in recent months.”-Alex Gangitano and Brett Samuels, The Hill

Resilient framework? Is Cronin for real? And, Xi wants to strengthen his economy? That’s humorous after China, in part, tanked the crap out of our economy a few years back.

Speaking of problems, let’s talk about the elefentanyl in the room:

5. Fentanyl at the forefront

The way Biden handles fentanyl issues in relation to China is set to follow him throughout the 2024 campaign. Republicans consistently hammer Biden on the situation at the U.S. southern border, maintaining that Biden administration policies encourage drugs to come over the border.”-Alex Gangitano and Brett Samuels, The Hill

Biden handles fentanyl? Let’s get real here. The Biden Administration has not handled this crisis. At all. Not one bit. This administration has proved to Americans (whether they want to see it or not) how ineffective it has been in keeping our economy strong, our morale positive, our foreign policies consistent and keeping deadly drugs out of the hands out of Americans.

Be on the lookout. Our leader of the (still) free nation sits down at a lush estate with a Communist dictator. The media will swoon. Nothing will materialize. Let’s hope Old Houseplant does not fall asleep mid-meeting.

In order to set the proper tone for the meeting, the Biden Administration released $10 Billion in assets frozen in Iraq to Iran. Now China’s ally, Iran, won’t have to ask China to send it funds so it can continue funding its terrorist proxies attacking Israel or to fund the completion of its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.
