White House Gives Iran $10 Billion Reward For October 7

For Iran’s support of Hamas, the White House just awarded them another $10 billion dollars. Supposedly this reward will be for humanitarian purposes only.

The Biden administration on Tuesday reapproved a sanctions waiver that will allow Iran to access upward of $10 billion in frozen assets, the State Department confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon.

The sanctions waiver, which was set to expire today after first being authorized for a period of 120 days in July, allows Iraq to transfer payments for multibillion-dollar electricity imports from Iran into accounts outside of the country that can be used by Tehran. This is the first time the Biden administration has renewed the waiver since the Iran-backed terror group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel that was reported to have been planned with Tehran’s support.

Renewal of the waiver “allows Iraq to use its own funds to render payment for Iranian electricity imports into restricted Iranian accounts in Iraq,” a State Department official told the Free Beacon, speaking only on background. “These restricted funds can only be used for humanitarian and other non-sanctionable transactions.”

And if you believe that, remember that Iran is on record just weeks ago telling the world that they will spend their prior $6 billion reward (which was refrozen after massive blowback) any way they want to. In Iran’s mind, humanitarian purposes includes funding terrorists, including Hamas.

Who, as the Wall Street Journal found out, actually trained in Iran just prior to the October 7 attacks on innocent Israeli citizens.

In the weeks leading up to Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, hundreds of the Palestinian Islamist militant group’s fighters received specialized combat training in Iran, according to people familiar with intelligence related to the assault.

Roughly 500 militants from Hamas and an allied group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, participated in the exercises in September, which were led by officers of the Quds Force, the foreign-operations arm of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the people said.

Senior Palestinian officials and Iranian Brig. Gen. Esmail Qaani, the head of Quds Force, also attended, they said.

Training costs money. Just where did that money come from? Given that the Obama Administration handed over billions in pallets of cash, and the Biden Administration has now rewarded Iran with money three separate times, you bet that money is fungible whether the State Department wants to admit it or not!

Miller stated that Iran has always given money to destabilizing regimes. Uhhhh… just WHERE did that money come from? Thin air? Trees? Sand dunes?

That money also goes to the Hamas “pay for slay” scheme that is written into their charter.

You know, on Monday when news started circulating that the Biden Administration was considering this move, many were of the thought that this was just a bad out of season April Fools joke. Well, the joke is on us and Israel.

What a freaking slap in the face it is for the Biden Administration to essentially REWARD Iran for their role in funding the Hamas attack on Israel. And you just know Iran has been funding the tunnel construction under hospitals and schools, the rockets and mortars that have been fired at Israel every day since October 7, and more.

Meanwhile, Arab States have been nervously watching the developments. Several whom are definitely NOT fans of Iran.

“The Abraham Accords were about advancing our interests, and war with Iran isn’t one of them,” a Gulf diplomat told me last year.

Sure enough, over the past few weeks, the Gulf states have not closed ranks with an Israel fighting a growing list of Iranian proxies. They are nervous that the Gaza war could spiral into broader regional conflict. The Saudis remember attacks on their oil fields in 2019, which temporarily knocked out half of their production; the UAE is still jittery after a drone attack on Abu Dhabi last year, which killed three migrant workers and rattled the country’s image as an oasis of stability. Both were carried out by Iranian-backed groups.

In light of all that, the Biden Administration decides to reward Iran with another $10 billion???!!

Uhhh guys? Granting a waiver and handing Iran a massive reward will let that terrorist regime fund a LOT more attacks on Israel.

That $10 billion will also help further Iran’s spy campaigns against dissidents and others. It is also incumbent upon us to remember that there’s at least one if not more pro-Iranian people in the State Department and at the Pentagon with high security clearances.

An Iranian-born Pentagon aide, who was revealed earlier this year to be part of a years-long, Tehran-backed influence operation, also sought to undermine the leading group resisting the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to a new report delivered to President Biden.

Ariane Tabatabai has retained her security clearance and position as chief of staff to the Pentagon’s assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low-intensity conflict — despite a bombshell Semafor report in September detailing her ties to senior Iranian Foreign Ministry officials.

In light of all this, with over 200 innocents still being held hostage by Hamas terrorists, the Biden Administration still decides to reward Iran with a $10 billion payday. As Powerline’s Scott Johnson points out, even Neville Chamberlain’s appeasement policies didn’t include handing Hitler boatloads of cash.

You know who should be given that $10 billion? The families of the innocents murdered by Hamas.
