Michelle O and Her Insufferable Petulance

Move over, Meghan Markle, Michelle Obama has published a new book and is hitting the book circuit. And like the privileged Duchess of Sussex, Michelle O just can’t stop with the Imma-victim-of-racism schtick.

Never mind that she is worth $70+ million bucks and lives in a $14 million dollar mansion on Mahtha’s Vineyahd with other über-rich swells. Mrs. Obama continues to play up the victim card, as she does in her new book The Light We Carry.

She writes, among other things, that she “hates” how she looks, and that sometimes when she wakes up in the morning and turns on the light to look in the mirror she “desperately want[s] to flip it off again.”

You’re 58 years old now, Michelle O. Welcome to late middle age.

She also has felt insecure because of her height (she’s 5’11”). And experienced a “low-grade form” of depression during the Covid pandemic.

Gee, kind of like the rest of us. Did she feel angst for little black children in her native Chicago who remained confined to their less-than-spacious homes during the lockdowns, forbidden from attending school?

But then there’s the issue of her hair.

Michelle O and Her Hair Problems

During her 13-night cross-country tour flacking her book, Michelle sat down for an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. As DeGeneres commiserated with Obama that “I know what it feels like to be attacked,” Michelle took a swipe at the American people. You know, many of the same folks who perhaps didn’t like her husband’s policies, but appreciated the fact that we were able to elect our first black president.

Michelle O. claimed that she worried that Americans “weren’t ready” for her natural hair. As in, braided locks:

“As black women we deal with it, the whole thing about do you show up with your natural hair? … As First Lady, I did not wear braids. Being the first – yeah, we had to ease up on the people … I was like, it would be easier. Nope, nope. They’re not ready.”

But, as Kimberly Klacik (also a black woman) pointed out in a tweet, Obama didn’t wear natural hair in her salad days before she became FLOTUS.

Michelle O.

And looky here — what’s Michelle O. rocking in her interview with DeGeneres? Hair extensions. Pricey, pricey, hair extensions.

Michelle O. has perfected the passive-aggressive technique of calling people racist without calling them racist. As the website Not The Bee put it:

“We’re just so racist and evil here in America. Sure, we elected the first black president, but he and his wife had to appear to be white so those racist white people would tolerate them.”

Dropping the Race Card and Loving It

This isn’t the first time that Michelle O. has dropped the race card, either.

In 2020, she griped about racism in a Netflix video based on her first memoir, Becoming. Some quotes:

“We have to be willing to say who we are. I am the former First Lady of the United States and also a descendant of slaves. It’s important to keep that truth right there.”

“Barack and I lived with an awareness that we ourselves were a provocation. Michael Brown. Tamir Rice. Freddie Gray. Eric Garner. Trayvon Martin. Sandra Bland. . . .You see people gunned down because somebody was so afraid of a kid in a hoodie that that ended his life. So how were these people dealing with the fact that a black family was in what they perceived as their White House?”

Never mind that the Obama justice department confirmed that Michael Brown was attacking a cop when he was shot. Or that the only innocent victim in this cavalcade of martyrs was Tamir Rice, a child whom police accidentally shot when they perceived that the toy gun he was carrying was real. No, as National Review writer Kyle Smith put it: They’d shoot us if they could.

Michelle O. lives a lavish lifestyle which the vast majority of us can only dream about. Yet she persists in the fiction that Wypipo — many of whom voted for her husband — look askance at her because of the color of her skin.

Obama is obviously an intelligent, highly educated, and very influential woman. Instead of fantasizing about racists under every rock, she should turn her efforts to promoting worthy causes. Like raising educational expectations for schools with minority populations. Or even shilling for more exercise and healthier diets among kids as she did while FLOTUS. But she wouldn’t get much attention with those efforts, would she?

And, Michelle O., if you want to wear your hair in a natural style, braids, or whatever — go ahead. No one really cares, anyway.

  • John Casteel says:

Michelle is the leader of the “I am a victim and it feels so great to wallow in the unfairness of it all.” So destructive for black people to follow that lead and jettison any hope for success in the process.

  • Scott says:

Mooch is a racist sasquatch, and always has been! I’d argue with you about the “intelligent” part, she was an affirmative action slot in college, nothing more. She has hated America her whole life because she knows what an ugly person she is (No, not just on the outside, her soul is as ugly as it gets) Her and her beta cuck Barry Swotero need to go away, they’ve done enough damage to the nation.
