A drone strike took out an ISIS-K planner responsible for the suicide bombing attack at the Kabul airport.

Military officials suggested that the individual targeted and killed by Friday’s strike was involved in the planning of Thursday’s terrorist attack in Kabul.

“U.S. military forces conducted an over-the-horizon counterterrorism operation today against an ISIS-K planner,” U.S. Central Command spokesman Capt. Bill Urban said in a statement late Friday evening. “The unmanned airstrike occurred in the Nangahar Province of Afghanistan. Initial indications are that we killed the target. We know of no civilian casualties.”

Believe you me, it is ALWAYS good that a terrorist has been vaporized. However, does that mean this ISIS-K terrorist was of such importance that the head was cut off of the snake?

This ISIS-K terrorist was the planner, according to the reports from the folks at U.S. Centcomm. Ok, that’s good. But who was the terrorist in contact with? Who did that terrorist take orders from? Who carried out what this ISIS-K terrorist planned? Wouldn’t it have been better to obliterate the guy AND members of his crew?

Secondly, as I look at this and know that there are American Gold Star families grieving, I honestly cannot help but think – 13 American soldiers are dead and only ONE terrorist is obliterated as a consequence?

The ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the “martyrdom attack” on Thursday that involved a suicide bomber who detonated an explosive belt at the airport’s gate, killing 13 U.S. service members and more than 110 Afghans. More than 100 were wounded in the blasts.  

Here’s the thing, as the AP reports, it’s not clear whether the terrorist killed was directly or indirectly responsible for the attack at Kabul airport. 

It must also be noted that our government has been feeding the Taliban intel. Are they feeding the U.S. intel as well? How credible is that intel? Especially given this information:

The Taliban has mobilized a special unit, called Al Isha, to hunt down Afghans who helped US and allied forces — and it’s using US equipment and data to do it.

Nawazuddin Haqqani, one of the brigade commanders over the Al Isha unit, bragged in an interview with Zenger News that his unit is using US-made hand-held scanners to tap into a massive US-built biometric database and positively identify any person who helped the NATO allies or worked with Indian intelligence. Afghans who try to deny or minimize their role will find themselves contradicted by the detailed computer records that the US left behind in its frenzied withdrawal.

It is also worth pointing out that the Taliban has welcomed Al Quaeda back into Afghanistan and is happily partnered with the Haqqani Network, the most virulent of terrorist groups in that region.

Therefore, if the U.S. took intel from the Taliban on this dude who was obliterated by a drone strike, how credible is it?

Biden has pulled and will continue to pull all American resources out of Afghanistan. Leaving far too many people behind, Americans AND many people who have helped and worked with our American forces for years. Will this drone strike that killed just ONE terrorist help an Afghan interpreter named “Carl?”

There are Americans, including students and parents from California still stuck in Afghanistan. Did this drone strike help matters? I doubt it. They are still stuck in country while the Biden Administration cuts and runs. They are still stuck even as their Congressman, Darrell Issa, is working 24/7 to get them out. 

Did killing just that one terrorist help, or make matters worse?

Oh. Well, that brings up MORE questions! If the terrorist killed was planning future strikes, where’s the terrorist who planned the attack at Kabul airport? Not only that, but if the one responsible for the Kabul attack is STILL walking around, what was the point of this very expensive drone strike?

Seriously, what was the point? It certainly isn’t a morale booster. Biden is still holding the 31 August cut and run date, and people are still going to be STRANDED in Afghanistan. 

Did this drone strike make a difference? I hate to say it, but no, it did not.
