Liz Warren Tells Another Heap Big Whopper

UPDATED BELOW

Oops, she did it again! Not only did Liz Warren tell a lie about her alleged Native American ancestry, now she spins the sad tale of how a school district fired her for being pregnant. Because, as she tells it, that’s what awful men did back in the day. Just throw a visibly pregnant woman under the employment bus.

Except while she told another heap big whopper, school records tell a whole other story.

Liz first trotted out her pants-on-fire yarn in 2013, when she included it in her book, A Fighting Chance. Here is the book’s account:

“By the end of the school year, I was pretty obviously pregnant. The principal did what I think a lot of principals did back then—wished me good luck, didn’t ask me back the next school year, and hired someone else for the job.”

She took her saga of victimization on the campaign trail. But Internet sleuths smelled a rat when they discovered the story she was telling didn’t click with what she told an interviewer in 2007.

But the plot thickens, friends. Conservative media took on the job that mainstream media wouldn’t do. They found a paper trail — yes, officials records and all — which show that Liz Warren is telling another heap big whopper.

The Washington Free Beacon searched official minutes from a Riverdale, NJ, Board of Education meeting held in April, 1971. At the time, Warren was working as a speech pathologist at the Riverdale Elementary School, serving during the 1970-71 school year. It was also her first year in the district. According to records from November, 1970, Warren was granted a “provisional,” or “emergency” certificate.

So why did Liz Warren receive only a provisional certificate for work as a speech pathologist?

Now that’s an issue in which I could provide some insight, since I am a member of that profession. According to a 1978 faculty application Warren submitted to the University of Houston, she reported that she graduated from U of Houston in August, 1970. She had earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology.

So far, so good. However, between 1965-70, the American Speech and Hearing Association began to increase its certification requirements. A speech pathologist needed either a master’s degree or 60 semester hours to be certified. In addition, they would’ve had to pass a national examination and complete nine months supervised full-time employment, the Clinical Fellowship Year. The application shows that Warren had only a Bachelor’s and 45 hours in her major, even though she claimed in the video to have gotten additional hours at the graduate level. In addition, I can’t find any information that she passed the national boards. If she didn’t work full-time, she wouldn’t have completed her Clinical Fellowship Year, either.

Nor do I don’t know what New Jersey required of speech pathology personnel in their schools at that time. However, obviously Liz was light on her credentials for the professional association. Moreover, ASHA, despite its glowing Facebook blurb about Warren, doesn’t indicate that she ever earned her certification.

But it didn’t matter, apparently. Because according to Board of Education minutes in April, 1971, they did allow Warren to continue as a part-time substitute for the following school year.

Here is a screenshot of those minutes. She’s blatantly lying about being fired by a sexist principal.

However, two months later, Liz Warren tendered her resignation. The Board responded in the June, 1971 minutes:

“The resignation of Mrs. Elizabeth Warren, speech correctionist effective June 30, 1971 was accepted with regret.”

In my opinion, Warren didn’t return because she had no intention of attaining full certification as a speech pathologist. Instead, she had set her focus on becoming an attorney.

So why does Lying Liz keep adding to her ledger of lies? Wasn’t her Cherokee ancestry fraud humiliating enough?

It’s because Liz Warren needs to be a victim of something. Democrats are so enamored of identity politics that this blue-eyed, blond-haired white woman thinks she has too much privilege. To connect with her far-left base, she needs to have some good ol’ oppression as part of her story. So even though the Cherokee story flopped, she tried to pass off a tale of female victimization. After all, it was so long ago — who’s gonna check, right?

Except Liz Warren didn’t count on internet sleuths. I wonder what excuse she’ll have for her latest heap big whopper?

UPDATE: As of Tuesday morning, Warren is still sticking by her story, despite the evidence showing that it’s bogus.
