The 2024 Presidential Election is a long way off. Election Day is 15 1/2 months off, although some states may have already started early voting already. This is to stop the dreaded #voter suppression. The Democrats have done a bang up job of expanding voting rules and times in the name of stopping this alleged voter suppression. They allow voting until they win. That’s why I was surprised to see an article titled “Why Democrats might be content to see Biden lose in 2024”. Yowza!
Well, it didn’t take me much time to find out the author, Daniel McCarthy, is a Conservative and the editor of “Modern Age: A Conservative Review”. You can read his biography here. He doesn’t seem like a blue nose. He seems like a realist, when you read the article. Let’s start with the opening:
Are Democrats forfeiting the 2024 election?
In the Republican Party, Donald Trump has plenty of critics who say he can’t win next year.
To test that hypothesis, a strong slate of candidates is running as an alternative to him.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott, former Govs. Nikki Haley and Chris Christie and the rest have their chance to convince voters they can do better.
So far, polls show Republicans sticking with Trump — and show Trump with a fair chance of beating Biden.
I did an internet search for “Trump can’t win 2024” and 17,000,000 results popped up. I think 16,000,000 of those are by or about Chris Christie. Dayum, he has a bee in his bonnet about Trump. Can Trump beat Biden? It not about turnout. It’s about who gets to count the votes. Here’s more from the article:
Yet rather than testing Biden’s viability the way Republicans are testing Trump’s, Democrats are letting Biden take the nomination by default.
He has two primary challengers, but few media outlets treat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or Marianne Williamson seriously, and the pair have virtually no support from Democratic officeholders.
Biden won’t debate Kennedy or Williamson, so voters won’t find out how well he can do on a stage he doesn’t control until it’s time for him to face his general-election opponent.
By then, it’ll be too late for second thoughts.
For sure, it doesn’t even look like the Democrats are trying to campaign for Joe. It’s super early, but remember the announcement roll out:
Didn’t that hit every Democrat talking point: MAGA extremists, banning books, abortion and voter suppression. Soul of America and Muh Democracy. Criminetly, that looks like a plug and play ad. Insert candidate, right? They could lock Joe in the basement again. They already have the talking points written and the foot soldiers doing the groundwork. Not to mention the cover provided by BIG MEDIA.
This is the meat of this article. THIS IS THE POINT:
Voters don’t have to like Biden as long as they dislike the Republican enough.
Democrats know how to run an anti-Trump campaign, and they’ll adapt that strategy to remake any other Republican into Trump.
If DeSantis gets the GOP nod, Democrats will say he’s a younger, more intolerant, more dangerous Trump.
If Pence gets it, Democrats will say he’s a candidate divided against himself, a man who was Trump’s collaborator before turning on him.The scripts are easy to write — moderate Republican, conservative Republican, Trump or non-Trump, any GOP nominee will be painted in the same colors.
Read that again: The scripts are easy to write — moderate Republican, conservative Republican, Trump or non-Trump, any GOP nominee will be painted in the same colors.
Big Media is more than happy to read those scripts word for word. Does any Republican really have a chance against the Democrat Media Industrial Complex?
Biden has an “unusually small campaign reelection team”. California Governor Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom has already measured the drapes and hired the decorator for the Oval Office and he’s campaigning for a 28th Amendment to end gun violence. Remember for the Democrats, it’s all plug and play with written scripts. They win. They keep power.
The House and The Senate for power?
Besides, if Biden loses, that only improves chances for congressional Democrats in the 2026 midterms — because six-year midterms are usually brutal for the incumbent’s party.
Democrats chose Biden as a reassuringly old face in the revolutionary times of 2020, a year of impeachment, COVID and George Floyd riots.
They forfeited the future to run on the past, and it worked — only now the future’s catching up with them.
Democrats don’t want to lose next year, but they have to play the hand they dealt themselves.
Pick up seats in the midterms and hound the Republican President as they have Donald Trump, whether it’s Trump or not.
The Democrats are diabolical. We have the Trump hating blue noses. Please shut up. We have the DeSantis hating deadenders. Please shut up. Love the Country more than you hate each other’s candidates. We must win everything in 2024 and it will still be a hellish fight.
