Yesterday Deanna wrote about the terrorist attack took place in London. Toni and Gail followed up with additional information this morning here and here. The country is now on the highest alert after the terrorist mowed down British citizens and tourists on Westminster Bridge, then attacked and killed a policeman leaving 29 injured and 3 dead.
Prime Minister Teresa May’s statement last night was exceptional.
Authorities moved quickly to track down those who may be connected to the attack. Meanwhile, speculation as to who the terrorist was ran rampant. So much so that earlier reports naming Trevor Brooks aka Abu Izzadeen as the attacker were very very wrong.
Confirmed from multiple sources – official and community – that Trevor Brooks NOT attacker. He's still in jail despite what others report.

Understandably, the authorities held off on publicly identifying the terrorist until key information was gathered.

Well, now we know who this terrorist really is.
BREAKING: London police name Westminster attacker as Khalid Masood pic.twitter.com/QTU9PrT32z

He is, to put it bluntly, Not. A. Nice. Guy.
Born in Kent, the 52-year-old was known to MI5 and is understood to have acted alone. He was investigated “some years ago” as part of a historic investigation into violent extremism but was a peripheral figure.
In other words, he had quite the criminal track record.
Scotland Yard: Khalid Masood known by a number of aliases and had previous convictions for violence dating back many years.

However, none of those convictions involved acts of terror, planned or otherwise. That we know of considering authorities admitted that Masood operated under multiple aliases over the years, and again was known for his violent extremist views.
Meanwhile, as Londoners learn the identity of the terrorist, this is what many are saying in response to the attack.

I truly hope that the British strength and resilience that was demonstrated so very well in World War II when Hitler tried to bomb London into oblivion is as strong today as it was then.
These types of terror attacks are gaining in frequency. Now we have another vehicle terror attack in Antwerp. And that’s not a good thing for anyone, anywhere. Katie Hopkins asks a very important question of Londoners, one that we all should answer.
How many more attacks will it take before we step up and defend OUR culture instead of continuing to bow and cower to political correctness and appeasement? For me, I say this should STOP NOW.
Over time more details will come out regarding Masood and his terrorist leanings. While authorities continue their investigation, let us continue to pray for the victims and the family and friends of the victims of the #Westminster terror attack.
WW2 everyone in the free world banded together to eradicate violent extremism. WW3 everyone in the free world bands together to make excuses for violent extremism. This will continue until everybody realizes we are at war with a massive group of extremists that want to execute us, all of us, one by one if they have to. Sad but true.
Like I tell people, it’s all fun and feel good games until it happens to someone you love or care about. I know from experience.
Sadly you are correct.
I am sorry that you’ve experienced this up close, would that more people listen to you because of it.
The thing that folks don’t seem to understand is…
No matter whether you think you are at war with them, they are at war with you!
And, BTW, it really doesn’t matter where he was born. It matters greatly what he believes. This is why a “muslim ban” is much more important than a “these handful of countries ban”.
Unless they denounce sharia and jihad, muslims have no place in a free society or a republic. (It’s an ideology, not just a religion.)
I agree completely. They’ve been at war with us since prior to the American Revolution. They haven’t changed their stance and they never will. Appeasement will never EVER work!
