All was abuzz on Twitter yesterday after the possibility of streaming Matt Walsh’s “What Is A Woman” caused an uproar. All of these feelings. Then, yesterday afternoon, the news hit that Twitter Executive, Head of Trust and Safety, Ella Irwin, is out.
According to this, Ella Irwin resigned from the social media company yesterday. No more Slack account. Just a cardboard box of office belongings, despite her efforts:
We have been working hard to develop a balanced approach to free speech and keeping people safe from ongoing, repeated harassment. Over the next few weeks we will make it easier to report targeted harassment as well. https://t.co/vrcR2IIPg6

Irwin took the place of Former Head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth. Yeah, that guy who did a whole write up in The New York Times lamenting that Twitter was less safe under Elon Musk, and, in the end, quit because his little feelings got hurt by Elon Musk.
It was for this reason that I chose to leave the company: A Twitter whose policies are defined by edict has little need for a trust and safety function dedicated to its principled development.”-Yoel Roth
This is the guy who was, in part, responsible for former President Trump’s suspension from the platform. He was just keeping people safe. He was also keeping people “safe” when he recommended The Babylon Bee remain restricted. Musk hit back at Roth after his departure and then, Ella Irwin entered the building.
And, she has now exited the building. Why? Well, yesterday, our very own VG, Carol, reported on the categorization of “What Is A Woman? as “hateful conduct” and censored by Twitter. To which, Elon Musk said this was a “mistake” and the content was “definitely allowed”. Now, Irwin is out. Did she jump or was she pushed? Was it about business or sensitivity or feelings? Wouldn’t be the first time someone got butt-hurt by Mr. Musk but only time will tell on this one.
Twitter is 99% conservatives abusing LGBT people anyways. Now it'll be an even 100.

Ummm? Negative. Most Conservatives have better things to do than sit on Twitter and “abuse” LGBT people. BTWs: this person forgot the Q and the other letters, numbers and symbols in “LGBT”. Trust and Safety…Anyone in Twitterland? I hear hate speech here.
At last I checked, Matt Walsh’s “What Is A Woman?” is still available for streaming on Twitter. However, its visibility is limited, citing it may be “in violation of Twitter’s Rules against Hateful Conduct”.
Our film has been posted for a couple of hours. You cannot retweet it. It will not appear in anyone’s feed. It has been flagged as hate speech. It has been blacklisted from the trends list. It still has nearly 900 thousand views.

And while the ability to stream the documentary is still available, Elon Musk has backpedaled a bit by going from saying his execs “made a mistake” to calling out “sensitive” content in Matt Walsh’s documentary. Musk had this to say last night:
We’re updating the system tomorrow so that those who follow @realDailyWire will see this in their feed, but it won’t be recommended to non-followers (nor will any advertising be associated with it.). Commenting & deliberate sharing will be allowed. Sensitive content just won’t be pushed to people unless they ask for it or a friend sends it to them.”-Elon Musk
Not sure what is “sensitive” about it, Elon. The definition of “sensitive” in this context would be shielding individuals to the harsh realties of the world we live in. The very same harsh realities of science, of damaging ideologies. The same harsh realities some may need to come to terms with:
Of course, subscribers can stream the movie. And, if you click on the warning, you can see the stream. But those who may be triggered by this content and “sensitive” to it, will not see it in their Twitter feeds. Those who may find Matt Walsh’s line of questioning triggering, will not see posts relating to this live stream.
This begs the question: are we being sensitive towards the right audience? Is a hard-hitting interview with a blue-haired child therapist-freak by the name of Dr. Michelle Forcier, who advocates for pre-pubescent hormone blockers, really “hate speech” and “sensitive content”? Who are we really protecting here? And who, exactly, are we harming by allowing this rhetoric to continue to be part of our new normal? This is Dr. Forcier’s profile from Brown University:
Dr. Forcier specializes in gender, sexual and reproductive health. She is a clinician at Folx Health, Consultant for ConferMed, and Planned Parenthood. She provides consultation and services in the areas of: advanced contraception and family planning, sexually transmitted disease care, puberty and menstrual issues, and a variety of gender affirming hormones and care plans.”-Brown University
Great. Aborting babies and/or aiding in gender-transitioning them. She sounds like a lovely human being. Dr. Forcier is a pediatrician by trade. Dr.Forcier is also a Dean of Admissions for The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. To borrow from Musk, LET.THAT.SINK.IN..
Twitter’s Safety & Moderation teams can’t seem to quickly remove reported death threats and child pornography, but don’t worry, it only takes them two minutes to flag a documentary where people’s direct quotes about gender are not being censored.

Despite “safety and trust” and Ella Irwin’s exodus, flags of “sensitive content” and “hate speech” still trump the sinister agenda being pushed and the truth Walsh is trying to expose in this documentary. These flags both take precedence over psychological delusion. They take precedence over scientific facts. They take precedence over the safety of children. Instead of being sensitive to an obvious display of mental illness, our technocrats are being “sensitive” by protecting these people with mental illness and packing their bags at the drop of an opposing opinion. The Twitter tap-dance continues. If we are too worried about “sensitivities” to the point of censoring thoughtful commentary that asks questions, what comes of our society?
Any room on Space X? Beam us up!
UPDATE: The Twitter departures continue. Just last night, it was announced that Maie Ayed, of “brand safety” has departed as well. Ayed had a long string of white-man-hating tweets in the past.

We are far too nice to fragile creatures.
Twitter is 99% conservatives abusing LGBT people anyways. Now it’ll be an even 100.
Stop your whining. Nobody cares about you or your victimhood.
Yet, again, comment is being blocked somehow. /sigh/
Something in the quote from the post (first sentence right above the video) it doesn’t like.
Copy/Pasting quotes does not work here for some reason. I’ve had the same problems. Best to type it out.
