There has been an undeniable uptick in women candidates running for office this year. Most claim it is because of Trump. Because they hate him so much. And because they thought Hillary, the most qualified candidate ever, was cheated. Of course, this is before the news about who the real cheater was came out this week, but these women would probably excuse Hillary’s devious behavior because women have it so hard anyway. She had no choice!
Nationwide, the numbers of women inquiring or participating in candidate training programs shows a truly impressive increase:
Hillary of course supports this:
“Let us hope there is a wave of young women running for office in America,” Clinton said. “And let’s be sure we support them, in every way we can. Let’s help them shatter stereotypes and lift each other up.”
All of this is fine with me. I am glad more people are trying to pay attention to what’s going on in our government. I just wish they actually had an open mind about it, though. One distraught Hillary voter recalled election night:
Alyson Leahy remembers sobbing as election results came in. The 30-year-old graphic designer is a lifelong liberal who grew up in a small, conservative town in southwestern Wisconsin. She’s voted in every national election since she was able to, and considers herself an informed voter.
“I felt that Trump’s win was the quintessential example of an unqualified man winning over an incredibly qualified woman,” Leahy says. “And the idea that people I knew, that I was related to, voted for that man … it made me sick.”
I might support her if I didn’t think she was so dumb. Hillary is probably one of the most corrupt politicians in all of history. We will still be unraveling her web of deceit and kickbacks for years, if our Department of Justice actually does its job. She is no pillar of virtue, no paragon of principle. She had no significant accomplishments in public life, and literally made things worse for people on her watch. And when I say worse, I mean dead. No, wake up, cupcake. Hillary got beat fair and square, and all her finagling and dirty money couldn’t overcome what down-to-earth voters knew about her and what her presidency would mean for this country.
