On Saturday, former Obama Labor Secretary Tom Perez was elected chairman of the Democratic National Committee, edging out Rep. Keith Ellison for the top job.
President Donald Trump tweeted out his congratulations, his message containing a jab at the Democrats.
Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!

Perez tweeted back:
Call me Tom. And don't get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare. https://t.co/fu7WvLofrD

Democrats united across the country? Bwahahahaha! That’s hilarious!
At first it was a squeaker, to be sure. Perez was one shy vote of victory on the first ballot, needing 214.5 votes to win.
But then after the lesser candidates dropped out, and the ballot came to mano a mano between Perez and Ellison, Perez coasted to victory.
Enraged Ellison supporters threw a tantrum and began chanting, “Party for the people! Not big money!”

Bernie Sanders supporters issued a “revolution statement” — whatever that means.

Other Bernie supporters pulled the WikiLeaks card, trying to discredit the new DNC chair with some sort of conspiracy theory.

Green Party candidate Jill Stein couldn’t restrain her contempt.
She also issued a statement which read in part:
After the blatant corruption of the 2016 election where the DNC sabotaged the Bernie Sanders campaign to clear the way for Hillary Clinton, for party elites to select a Clinton-linked insider demonstrates an arrogant refusal to even acknowledge the problems that have sent the party’s base streaming towards the exits.
Like anyone cares what Jill Stein thinks.
And of course, this being the Democratic Party, racial identity politics have to become involved. Because the Democrat establishment hates Palestinians or something.
Remember after the defeat of Mitt Romney in the 2012 Presidential election, the media were sticking a fork in the Republican Party and calling it ‘done?’ Saying the GOP was toast? And that it faced “years in the wilderness?” Now it’s the Democrats’ turn to run amok.
I’ll just sit back and enjoy the Schadenfreude. Someone pass me the popcorn.
Perez immediately appointed Keith Ellison as DNC Deputy Chairman. In contrast, CPAC threw the Alt-Right A$$wipe out on his keister. So, Prof Dershowitz, are you going to remain a Democrat? Or, are you willing to continue pretending that core constituencies of that Party wouldn’t send you to the shows if they could get away with it? Admittedly, that’s unlikely in the US. More likely is that they’ll use the type of targeted violence which is common enough in Europe that Jews are leaving for Israel. Keep supporting the Party which supports violence and soon that will come to a neighborhood near you.
Has Jill Stein demanded a recount yet?
