Thugs Come for McConnell and Pelosi

Sen. Mitch McConnell and his wife Elaine Chao felt leftwing rage in a restaurant on Friday night. They were dining at Havana Rumba in Louisville, KY — McConnell’s home state — when a small group of thugs approached the senator.

One of them began screaming at McConnell to “get out of here” and to “leave the entire country.”

Right. Like a sitting US senator is going to get up, look the thug in the eye, and say, “You know what? That’s a splendid idea! I’ll start packing tonight!”

Not only did McConnell’s tormentor scream at him and accuse him of ‘killing people,’ he also took the senator’s to-go box and threw it into the street.

I don’t know about you, but the last person I saw throw food around was my granddaughter, who is not quite two years old.

But other restaurant patrons didn’t appreciate the thug’s tantrums and told him to leave McConnell alone. This was Kentucky, after all, Mitch McConnell’s home turf.

Some of the confrontation was recorded by a diner and released by TMZ:

However, this wasn’t McConnell’s first encounter with left-wing punks. In July hecklers followed him to his car as he left a restaurant, and earlier this month hooligans hounded him at Reagan International Airport in Washington, DC, over his Kavanaugh support.

Ah, but sadly, thugs don’t just operate in the left-wing sphere. They exist on the far right as well, as evidenced a few days ago when Rep. Nancy Pelosi made a campaign stop in Florida. These guys aren’t genteel tea party types.

Now some might say that “well, they started it!” After all, wasn’t it Maxine Waters who charged her hot-under-the-collar followers to harass Trump administration officials? And hasn’t Antifa promoted violence on streets and campuses for the past couple of years?

In the words of Billy Joel, “We didn’t start the fire!”

Well, yes. But I keep hearing voices on social media and on news broadcasts warning that ‘someone is going to get hurt.’

Actually someone did get hurt. Remember how a left-wing maniac shot up a Republican baseball practice in 2017 and nearly killed Rep. Steve Scalise?

Which is undoubtedly why Scalise quickly condemned the mob screaming obscenities at Nancy Pelosi:

“I don’t agree with Nancy Pelosi’s agenda, but this is absolutely the wrong way to express those disagreements. If you want to stop her policies, don’t threaten her, VOTE! That’s how we settle our differences.”

NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch agreed:

“This is a mob. People, don’t match the progressive behavior you’ve seen in viral videos. It’s unacceptable either way.”

And one Twitter user noticed one major difference between Right and Left when it comes to thuggery:

So when are major leaders from the Democratic party going to step up and condemn these stunts? The answer is: they won’t. Instead we see Maxine Waters and former Attorney General Eric Holder doubling down on their comments to harass Republicans.

I think we’ll be seeing more conservative leaders harassed by thugs from the far left, especially if the midterms don’t exactly go their way.

I coulda sworn his home state was the District of Columbia.

Good. The wannabe aristocrats need to feel a little fear for once. Perhaps they’ll regret what they’ve begun and begin to realize the civil war they’re brewing will actually be dangerous to them, most of all.

VOTE! That’s how we settle our differences.
That’s how we settled them before the existential threat to our Republic emerged in the swamps of Moscow on the Potomac. A lot of voices on the right have been warning for some time now (at least since the beginning of 0bama’s second term) that they will regret starting a civil war. It will be bloody and very ugly and a great many of the swamp dwellers won’t be able to get to their private planes fast enough.

I hope they regret it enough now to stop this madness. What comes after will be much worse.

  • I have to disagree with Senator Scalise. The way to deal with this is not the ballot box – that will only increase the violence (yes, now whichever side wins).

The soap box has been used (Tea Party rallies, etc.) – and the Left sent thugs on the attack.

The ballot box has been used (Trump election, and possibly the midterms) – and the Left sent thugs to attack.

That leaves only the jury box and the ammo box as avenues for preserving a free society. If you want it to remain civilized also, you had better start applying the jury box with a will. Arrest the thugs, try the thugs, convict the thugs, and put the thugs in jail for a hefty term. Apply the same to their enablers (like the Mayor of Charlottesville), their inciters (Maxine Waters and her cohort), their funders (Soros, Steyer, and so on).

Failure to use the last civilized avenue that has been left to us by the Left will leave only the ammo box.

There is an intermediate step between the ballot box and the cartridge box: that’s where you stack all the boxes atop one another, then have the traitor stand on them, then you kick the boxes out from under him/her.

We need more Spocks, like the people who were willing to stand up for McConnell.

The dems aren’t going to condemn the thugs. In fact, they’re importing about 40,000 moreRobi thugs from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
