The View Hit With Cease And Desist

Seems the biggest mouths of midday television on The View have struck yet again. This time, the likes of Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg managed to get their parent company slapped with a cease and desist.

It all started on Monday when Joy Behar from The View decided to comment on a Turning Point U.S.A. Student Action Summit event that Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis attended. What was the big hullabaloo? The event (gasp) had Neo-Nazis in attendance (said Behar). I’m not sure why this lot is so obsessed with Nazis. Between Behar and Goldberg, I really don’t know who is worse.

Goldberg received a metaphoric slap on the wrist and a two-week vacation for this. Nonetheless, the ladies from The View are back to their old tricks again and spinning their own tales about what they think happened at this TPUSA Student Action Summit that Ron DeSantis attended.

Neo-Nazis were out there in the front of the conference with anti-Semitic slurs and, you know, the Nazi swastika and a picture of a so-called Jewish person with exaggerated features, just like Goebbels did during the Third Reich. It’s the same thing, right out of that same playbook.”-Joy Behar

And, what did Florida governor, Ron DeSantis do? According to Behar, he “did nothing”. Behar neglected to mention that DeSantis attended the event the day after the Neo-Nazis appeared. He was not there on the same day. But Joy Behar wants viewers to think DeSantis just rolled in and patted these neo-nazi jackasses on the back, I guess.

Later on in the program (after being told by producers that they needed t backpedal), the hosts informed viewers that Turning Point USA condemned the neo-Nazis and said they had nothing to do with their organization. But that did not stop Whoopi:

But you let them in, and you knew what they were.”-Whoopi Goldberg

Negative, Whoopi. Whoopi’s “whoops” forced the hosts to read another disclaimer and explain the neo-Nazis were “outside protestors” and TPUSA did NOT let them in. Whoopi Goldberg commented, in kind:

My point was metaphorical.”-Whoopi Goldberg

Hmmm. Sounds like a metaphorical non-apology to me.

Suffice to say, TPUSA’s in-house counsel, Veronica Peterson along with others at the organization, were none too impressed by Behar’s remarks or Whoopi’s metaphors. They have served ABC News with a Cease and Desist Order with a a deadline of July 27 for a retraction and apology.

The View hosts intentionally and falsely associated TPUSA with neo-Nazi protestors outside the event placing TPUSA in denigrating and false light and negatively impacting its public perception. Such action will not be tolerated.

To be abundantly clear, TPUSA aggressively and completely condemns the ideologies of neo-Nazism and has zero connection to the protestors outside the event. Since these individuals were located on public property, TPUSA security attempted to, but was not permitted to remove them.

In cases where the communication is of such a nature that the court can presume as a matter of law that the communication will tend to degrade or disgrace the party defamed, special damages are presumed. Therefore, TPUSA demands that ABC immediately cease and desist from further unlawfully defaming TPUSA, retract the defamatory statements identified above, and issue a public statement apologizing for and correcting the above defamatory and false statements.”-Turning Point U.S.A.

And, just like that, #SUETHEVIEW trends on Twitter:

How this show is celebrating 25 years of being on TV is beyond me. Some of the comments on the Twitter feed amaze me as well. Were there Neo-Nazi idiots camped outside the TPUSA event? It does appear that there were a few clowns waving the horrible swastika. This is indeed, unfortunate for TPUSA. Does the mere presence of these jackalopes warrant embellished stories from a powerhouse network and a few overpaid has-beens? Perhaps, considering The View is part of ABC which is also part of Disney. We know how much DeSantis and Disney like each other, right? Disney. The same company who wants to normalize trans youth and, on a larger scale, chemical castration (also used in Nazi Germany) of teenagers for all the “gender-affirming” feels.

We shouldn’t be surprised, though. One would think the “Nazi” dialogue would be getting a bit old and tired now. The View hosts had this narrative in their playbook long enough. This has been a tactic that liberal news outlets and their talking heads have thrown out for years. Conservative? Must be a Nazi. Republican? You’re a Nazi. Carry a gun? Nazi. Oppose abortion? Undeniably a Nazi. The truth is, the small group of neo-Nazis outside the TPUSA function were not attendees and do not represent the majority of the young people who attended this conference. But The View won’t tell the low-information crowd who watch this crap talk show this.

If The View (and others) want to continue to play this game, the execs at ABC must weigh the cost of their irresponsibility and pay. I say good for TPUSA. I hope they sue them into oblivion.

People like that need to be challenged at every opportunity. We need to mock them, call them out and drop a lawyer on them when they get out of line. It should be to the point that when they wake up in the morning, there is someone waiting to serve them papers because of them throwing out insults like that the previous day.

The View has always been a “by Karens for Karens” production.

The truly awful bit to all this is that there are people out there who actually watch this. AND THEY VOTE.

“these neo-nazi jackasses:.. That is of course, assuming that they were not a false flag op, run by leftists like antifa, or the FBI like Jan 6th

Wait, neo-Nazis were protesting, presumably against TPUSA, and it’s TPUSA’s fault?
