Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.

Happy Sunday, dears. We blinked and suddenly we are in the “ber” end of the year. No worries about brunch. Champagne, some more fortifying adult beverages, a plethora of delightful amuse-bouche and not one bit of pumpkin spice to be seen. For now. I don’t promise it won’t make an appearance sometime in the future, but it’s got to be full on fall sweater weather before it will even be contemplated for an appearance. Fret not! Please lift your glasses as this marks the one-year anniversary of our Sundays together! Do fill your plate and let’s get to it.

RIP Joe the Plumber

Let’s take a moment to remember Joe Wurzelbacher, who inadvertently made a place for himself in the cultural milieu as Joe the Plumber when he dared to question The One with less than a worshipful attitude.

Pancreatic cancer is a horrible, nasty disease I am sorry to say has claimed members of my own family and friends. Keep Joe’s family in your prayers.

Bad Penny Mulvaney

One might think after the disaster of Dylan’s role in tanking the sales of Bud Lite, he would quietly decide to give up the minstrel life and get an honest job. But nooooooooo….

Controversial transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney called out the “extreme amount of transphobia and hate” after winning Breakout Creator at the 2023 Streamy Awards — declaring she would celebrate the win by cracking open a beer.

Mulvaney, 26, — wearing a blond wig and a red satin minidress with matching kitten heels — took the stage after winning one of the most sought-after titles by content creators at Sunday night’s award ceremony and used the moment to comment on the hate she’s been subjected since her Bud Light marketing disaster in April.

“My life has been changed for the better,” the trans influencer said while clutching her award.

“But also there’s been an extreme amount of transphobia and hate, and I know that my community is feeling it, and I know that even our allies are feeling it.”

Notice how Dylan is little more than a wig-donning caricature of a woman? His physique doesn’t lie, from the wide shoulders, man-hands and non-existent hips. He is trying to rub the noses of all the women he hates with his #girlface act and lecturing everyone on how to be the good ally in the rush to erase women and girls.

I’m done with live and let live when it comes to men in dresses. From now on, keep the cross-dressing behind closed doors, perverts, because this old lady has nothing to lose by publicly shaming you.

VP Roundheels would be a disaster as President

And saying that out-loud doesn’t make one a racist.

Republicans are deemed unhealthily fixated on Harris for saying a vote for the increasingly rickety President Joe Biden is a vote to make her president.

“Why are Republicans so obsessed with Harris?” asked a Boston Globe columnist.

Jemele Hill, the former ESPN journalist now with The Atlantic, rapped Nikki Haley in lurid terms for warning of a President Harris: “So part of the reason racism is such a terrible sickness in this country is because politicians like this know they can rally a certain base with the fear of OH MY GOD A BLACK WOMAN MIGHT BE PRESIDENT IF YOU DON’T VOTE FOR ME.”

Hill then connected Haley’s sentiment with racist violence.

No, it wasn’t racist at all for the Biden team to pick Harris, an unlikeable, cackling nincompoop with delusions of competency, to pick her as a two-for. Not only did she pass (barely) the Pantone Color Swatch test, she was also so toxic that no one, even Democrats, would want her in the Oval Office. Great way to keep from ousting the creepy child-sniffer.

It’s no wonder that Harris, an off-puttingly poor political performer who is a stereotypical identity-politics-obsessed California progressive, should be a political target.

She has managed to be both undistinguished on the one hand and widely disliked on the other.

In late June, a NBC News poll had her positive rating at 32 and negative rating at 49, clocking in at the lowest ratings for a vice president in the poll’s history.

Dears, the Democrats won’t let Harris run. They are busy laying the foundation for Gavin Newscum to white knight the party back into the 2024 White House.

Someone is going to have to purchase a gross of antimacassars for the White House when Gov. Hairgel moves in.

Is this irresponsible?

Dears, I leave this to you. Tucker Carlson is not everyone’s cup of Earl Grey, and certainly his style wobbles between unctuous and grating. Though there are flashes of brilliance, enough to make you really really want him to keep the serious journalist hat on more. But this?

Appearing on “The Adam Carolla Show” on Tuesday, Carlson noted that the years-long trajectory of persecution against former President Donald Trump has only one logical end.

“We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously,” Carlson said. …

“So if you begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment, and none of them work, what’s next? I mean, graph it out, man,” Carlson said before making his assassination prediction.

To be clear, Carlson did not say that an assassination would happen. But he did say that assassination represents the logical conclusion to a relentless campaign of destruction.

I will admit, in some of my darkest moments, that I truly believe the Deep State will do anything to keep Trump out of the 2024 race, let alone get anywhere near the White House again. The hatred of him (and anyone who supports him in any way) is as unhinged and lave-hot as anything I’ve witnessed this side of the 2020 Summer of Mostly Peaceful City Burnings. And I don’t put a Putin-style removal by fenestration or some other accident past the likes of people like the Obama and Clinton cartels.

But does public speculation further it or hinder it or just mark the utterer as irresponsible? Let me slide this nice sipping bourbon over your way and do share with me your thoughts.

Your Sunday good news!

A small victory, but one that can be built on with countering the malignant evil of the Trans lie. In California, no less.

In what’s been called a landmark victory for parental rights, a California school district has settled for $100,000 with a mother who said her daughter was “socially transitioned” to a boy without parental knowledge or consent.

Jessica Konen said her 11-year-old daughter, Alicia, was told by her school in the Spreckels Union School District in Monterey County that she may be upset because she didn’t know who she “truly was inside.” From there, the school allowed her to use the boy’s bathroom, used male pronouns to refer to her and was “socially transitioned” away from her biological gender.

Sue and sue again.

And mock anyone that even entertains the abomination of a President Gavin Newsom.

Your Sunday smile

Parents raised this boy right (and please note, his mom and dad are married to each other, too)

Minnesota boy reels in wallet filled with $2,000 cash while fishing and returns it to Iowa farmer …

“I was shocked,” Connor Halsa of Moorehead, Minnesota, told Fox News Digital about the surprise he found on the end of his line while fishing with his extended family on Lake of the Woods over the July 4th weekend. …

Halsa said he and his family immediately knew they wanted to find the owner.

“It wasn’t my money,” Halsa said.

Indeed, the owner of the wallet, Jim Denney, insisted on telling Connor to go ahead and keep the money since it had been a full year since he lost it. Connor and his family would have none of it. The only thing they accepted, by way of gratitude from Denny, was his driving to up to Minnesota to take them to dinner.

“They’re quite the family.” remarked Denny

Indeed.

Look at the time, dears! Our 1-year anniversary Sunday has come to a close. What with the Monday holiday, let me make sure you take along some wonderful leftovers and an unopened bottle of champagne with my best wishes and a little advice. Chill the champagne and sit with your love on the porch, watch a beautiful sunset and the stars come out and take hope in God and His plans for us. Until next Sunday, loves. Cheers!

Thanks for a great year, my dear! I can’t wait every Sunday morning for the coffee to be ready so I can sit and enjoy Sunday Morning Cafe! Just so you know, I do have my huge mug of coffee and the leftovers of a huge chocolate birthday cake, fudge frosting and soft moist chocolate layers! I am counting down (counting up?) to my 8th decade and plan to keep reading every Sunday! Keep up the good work and congratulations! Sunday Cafe is a hit!

And a glorious Sunday morning it is at the lair of the freshly retired…2 things
    A) Trump being assassinated?…..Unfortunately, a likely senario or at least the attempt…..I came up with the same conclusion weeks ago. But I fear it won’t just be Trump but any Conservative nominee that looks like they’ll take the election. The Socialists can’t afford to lose and be exposed no matter the cost so in the spirit of “the end justifies the means”…..just my opinion but if you take emotion out of the equation and think logically, it isn’t hard to get to that reality….
    B) Joe Biden should be impeached…and he will…but now is not the time. There is still a year and change before the election and a year away from the Democratic National Convention….As we all know, that’s a lifetime in politics. Although there seems to be a mountain of evidence to wade through, the dots still need to be connected and bank records need to be sorted……Also there still are a host of people that should testify before Congress…Bidens’ sister and the Ukrainian prosecutor are 2 that come to mind. Who better to ask the questions than Louisiana Senator John Kennedy….you know he’ll ask the right questions..
Who will they nominate? The Biden Administration has already said publicly that Biden/Harris is the ticket- end of discussion. There doesn’t seem to be anyone else that could challenge so that’s most likely what will occur…..and when the Convention ends and he’s the official Nominee, then you impeach with the evidence, testimony and records all figured out……that’s the time for impeachment…right before the election….

    undistinguished on the one hand
Oh, honey, that is SO much understatement.

But does public speculation further it or hinder it or just mark the utterer as irresponsible?
It puts it out in the open where people can reasonably digest it. I think he might be wrong (I see other logical end-games), but I certainly don’t put the scenario past TPTB. Given the corruption in the DOJ and FBI right now, I am positive several of them are thinking “We could do exactly what the conspiracy nutters have said for decades we did to JFK, and this time it would work!”

“They’re quite the family.” remarked Denny
That doesn’t happen naturally. You have to actually have values, and then insist on passing them on to your children. A good family, raising good kids. Thank God for them.
