Looks like Canada’s MAID (killing people to save money) just got outdone by the Netherlands.
The Netherlands just executed a child. Naturally, it wasn’t called an execution. It was called “euthanasia,” a mercy killing, but in socialist societies where people are measured by their utility and the non-Biblical state has no reverence for each individual’s worth, something very ugly just began. The Netherlands has carried out its first euthanasia of a child under 12, two years after the country expanded its assisted dying law to include young children with incurable suffering, The Times reported, citing a minister. Dutch Health Minister Sophie Hermans disclosed the case in a letter to parliament on Monday. She said the “incurably ill” child died at the end of 2025, but gave no details about age, gender, illness, or location.
Short take: Don’t visit the Netherlands.

On Thursday, Labour Member of Parliament (MP) Olivia Bailey, the Equalities Minister, published a draft bill to ban conversion therapy, which involves attempting to change or suppress a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Under the bill, those who try to prevent children from saying they are gay or transgender could face up to five years in prison. While the government insists that the bill will not penalize non-abusive discussions, and allegedly includes a “high threshold” for charges to be pressed, critics argue that the bill’s broad definition of abuse, which includes “controlling or coercive words or behaviour” and “use of psychological or emotional pressure,” could lead to criminal charges for having conversations with children about their gender identity. “Make sure everyone you know – especially parents – is aware of what is going on: including the proposal for five-year prison sentences for protecting your child from harmful drugs,” said Bev Jackson, co-founder of the LGB Alliance, a gender critical advocacy group.

Republican candidate for California State Superintendent Sonja Shaw has accused Gavin Newsom of orchestrating a sweeping power grab and leaving the office she wants to run powerless.
“Newsom couldn’t win at the ballot box, so he changed the rules. He just rammed through one of the biggest power grabs in California history,” Shaw told the California Post. “This isn’t education reform. California’s children deserve leaders who answer to the voters.”
She led the June primary with 1,737,377 votes (22.6%), finishing ahead of Richard Barrera, who received 1,557,939 votes (20.3%), according to the Associated Press. (snip)
The legislation has drawn criticism from opponents who argue it fundamentally restructures California’s education system by transferring powers previously exercised by the independently elected Superintendent of Public Instruction to a governor-appointed official.
Hairgel can’t risk having a pro-parent Republican in the top education spot, so he’s going to transform the California Constitutional elected office into a quasi-ceremonial one and put all the power into the hands of a person handpicked by the governor who answers only to the governor. Screw parents. Again.
