Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle was at the RNC convention last night, and ended up running like a scared rabbit after getting confronted by an irate Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).

The information regarding what the Secret Service did, and didn’t do prior to and during the Trump Rally in Pennsylvania gets more concerning by the minute. And, rightfully so, we ALL need answers.

“Don’t walk away from us”

Yesterday the FBI and DHS held a briefing with Senators and Congressman. The information, what little there is, coming from that briefing is incredibly troubling.
What’s also infuriating, as Barrasso and Blackburn make clear, is that questions were NOT answered during that briefing. And then, this morning we find out that Senators were only allowed to ask FOUR questions. That’s it. FOUR.
The USSS Senate briefing was unbelievably uninformative.

Only 4 questions were allowed.
The rest of us are supposed to submit questions. I already have. Awaiting a response.

Now, I’ve never ever seen John Barrasso that ticked off. Ever. Given that the FBI and DHS, who are answerable to WE THE PEOPLE, restricted Senators to only four questions is well beyond the pale. I fully understand how that would piss Barrasso off. It should tick everyone off. Well, except for the New York Times, who has their shorts in a knot. How DARE they question Cheatle’s brilliance so aggressively??
The video, which Ms. Blackburn also posted on X, shows Mr. Barrasso berating Ms. Cheatle over why Mr. Trump was allowed to go onstage for his Saturday evening rally in Butler, Pa., when authorities had already identified as suspicious a man who turned out to be the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks.
“You put him within less than an inch of his life,” Mr. Barrasso said to Ms. Cheatle, almost yelling. “So resignation or full explanation.”
I want her resignation. But what I want FIRST is answers.

Furthermore, despite the Secret Service’s attempt to throw local law enforcement under the bus, they aren’t having it.
Butler County PA commissioner completely destroyed the Secret Service narrative. Kim Cheatle and Secretary Mayorkas are directly responsible for the death of Corey Comperatore and President Trump’s shooting pic.twitter.com/q9VtVivwYQ

Good for them in telling the feds to go pound sand. I was listening to his interview with Fox News yesterday and he made it very clear that their officers were only assigned to traffic duty. NOT perimeter security.
Which brings me back to last night’s confrontation.
“You knew an hour out you had a suspicious person. And at 5:51, according to the timeline of your deputy, you identified a potential threat. And then at 5:53, you told or someone told the [Secret Service counter] sniper that he was there. But can you give us an explanation, why would anyone allow the president to go on stage when you know that you’ve got a potential threat?”
Ms. Cheatle declined to answer.
“I don’t think this is the forum to have this discussion,” she said, telling the senators they were standing in a hospitality suite set up to thank the partners who helped provide security for the convention.
“I would not want to take away from their evening by ruining this,” she said.
Let’s let the people have fun mmmkay? Let’s not harsh their party vibe. What a load of crock.
That’s the key there missy. The Secret Service is in charge. Period. They don’t get to try and throw people under the bus, when it becomes inconvenient to their narrative.

The Secret Service failed. The failure starts at the top with not only Kimberly Cheatle, it starts with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
You don’t get to show up at a convention that YOU should be ensuring is fully 1000% secure and not expect to answer for your failures just a few days before. A failure that ended with two Americans gravely injured, and the death of firefighter Corey Comperatore. It is by a sheer miracle that President Trump turned his head at the very last second, otherwise we’d be mourning not one, but two Americans.
Kimberly Cheatle doesn’t get to run from questions. There’s no excuse for her rabbiting away when the heat gets a little too intense. She needs to be held accountable and we Americans, who pay her salary, have every right to know the details behind her failure at Saturday’s Trump rally.

The “sloped” roof the shooter was on has a slope so shallow that even I, at 71, with arthritis in my knees, ankles, and spine, could have easily walked on it (once I got up to it). I remember noticing the very shallow pitch of the roof when I first saw pictures of it. And they say that agents in top physical condition would have been “unsafe” on it? Pull the other one.
John C. I’m 74, have an artificial hip but am often up on my much steeper roof cleaning gutters and doing maintenance. The roof on which the shooter lay was not steep. As for “agents in top physical condition” that would not include the two chubby-faced young ladies seen, one trying to holster her firearm, as Trump was hustled into the limo.
Cheatle, Mayorkis, and Wray should all be fired. Resignation should not be an option. They should that their lucky stars they’re not brought up on charges of reckless endangerment or worse.
DEI hire at it’s finest.. well, in the one and only statement that barack HUESSEIN obama ever got right…. “Never underestimate Joe’s ability to F@$K things up!”
Perhaps Cheatle should go to Anheuser Busch. I believe there’s a vacancy in the Bud Lite account that needs filling.
