On Fox News Tonight: The Doo Doo About to Hit the Benghazi Whirling Blades

If you’re anywhere near a television tonight, tune in Fox News Channel. You just might see the cover blown off the official story of the Benghazi consulate attack.

Fox will be airing a special entitled 13 Hours at Benghazi:  The Inside Story, based upon the book of the same name by author Mitchell Zuckoff.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier has an exclusive interview with three security operators at the CIA annex in Benghazi the night of the attack on the US consulate, September 11, 2012. Until now they have been silent. Tomorrow night we can hear their story of how they were told not once, not twice, but three — three! — times to stand down as the attack was taking place.

Mark “Oz” Geist, Kris “Tanto” Paronto, and John “Tig” Tiegen, pictured above, left to right, report that they were ready in five minutes to respond as news of the attacks on the compound reached them at at the CIA annex at 9:30pm.  “It was thumbs up, thumbs up, we’re ready to go,” said Paronto, a former Army Ranger.

But then they were delayed from responding, upon orders from a CIA official identified only as “Bob.” After 15 minutes, Tiegen told “Bob,” ‘Hey, you know, we gotta– we need to get over there, we’re losing the initiative,’”

No dice. They were told to wait.

Paronto said that the State Department personnel from the consulate began frantically calling them, asking for help.

“We’re starting to get calls from the State Department guys saying, ‘Hey, we’re taking fire, we need you guys here, we need help,’”

After being delayed for 30 minutes, Tiegen, Paronto, and Geist had had enough. They headed to the consulate without orders, requesting air support from their CIA superiors — support which never arrived.

The three men look back at what happened that night, and claim that had they left for the consulate immediately, had they received the air support they so desperately needed, the outcome of the Benghazi raid would’ve been much, much different.

“Ambassador Stevens and Sean [Smith], yeah, they would still be alive, my gut is yes,” Paronto said. Tiegen concurred.

“I strongly believe if we’d left immediately, they’d still be alive today,” he added.

Upon release of this information, a State Department official issued a statement to Fox News that “There were no orders to anybody to stand down in providing support.”

Tiegen’s response:  “No, it happened.” Paronto concurred.

Should be a riveting, infuriating program, a broadcast that no patriotic American — hell, make that any American — should miss. Kudos to Fox News and Bret Baier, the only ones willing to expose the shameful behavior and lies of the Obama administration on this horrific event. Check it out at 10 pm, EDT; it will also be rebroadcast on Saturday and Sunday.

The rest of the mainstream media? They’re channeling former White House national security spokeschild Tommy Vietor:

When I watched Brett Baier’s report last night and heard them talk about “Bob”, I couldn’t help but think of the movie “What about Bob?” I know this is not funny. In fact, I wonder if “Bob” isn’t in reality “Rod”, as in Rodham, as in Hillary Rodham Clinton. Did she direct them to stand down, thus requiring her to later ask “What difference does it make” to deflect responsibility from herself?
