New Vice Chancellor of Oxford University Claims The United States “Overreacted” to the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

The brainiacs strike again.  This time it’s the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Oxford University, and Principal and Vice President of the University of St Andrews, Professor Louise Richardson.  In a British Council-sponsored conference, Richardson compares the British reaction to the troubles in Northern Ireland proved to be more resilient than the United States–where there was an “over-reaction” to the atrocity:

“The British population in the course of the Troubles and violence in Northern Ireland proved really quite resilient, I think far more so than the U.S., and the scale of the over-reaction in the U.S. to the 9/11 atrocity was reflective of the fact that it was such a new experience in the U.S.”-Breitbart

Richardson presented Clinton with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree in September 2013, two days after the 12th anniversary of 9/11, singing praises about the former Secretary of State:

“As one of the most influential women in the world, Hillary Clinton, as stateswoman, senator and policymaker, never shied away from tackling difficult questions, working to make the world a better place, inspiring others, speaking out for the voiceless and striving ever to excel. We are honoured that she will participate in our celebrations.”

Never shied away from tackling difficult questions? Is she for real? Benghazi? Clinton Cash, anyone? Whitewater? What else? Can I touch your pantsuit?

Clinton spoke about climate change and stoves when she accepted her Doctor of Laws degree at St Andrews back in 2013. No mention of 9/11 in the speech. Stoves. One Professor sitting behind Ms. Clinton was seen to repeatedly yawn and hang her head during the speech:

Back to the overreacting thing. So, if I get this straight, according to the smart folk of the world who know much more about everything than we “commoners” do, it seems all this time, we did not know what was wrong with us as Americans. You know, we just needed an intellectual with a PhD in law from Harvard, now Vice Chancellor at Oxford to tell us that we “overreacted” to the whole thing. An overreaction to the atrocity? Really? Lightbulb–We’ve been “overreacting” to the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001. We’ve overreacted to these airplanes loaded up with jet fuel and transformed into bombs and slamming into buildings–taking innocent crew members, passengers–and people in the structures–mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children–all who were minding their business that fateful day. We can’t overreact now. Because, you know, tolerance. And we need to understand the Jihad “perspective” on why they want to kill us so badly and realize that WE, as a nation “have a lot of damage to repair.”

Yep. We do have a lot of damage to repair. And our work has only just begun.

What I have to say to this woman is not very eloquent. It’s also hard to type, since it involves a gesture. But it’s succinct.

Yeah–my “Jersey” came out when I was reading/writing about this, if you know what I mean!
