According to NBC News, the ONLY reason Trump tweeted about poor little Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes is because she is black. NBC’s Janell Ross is absolutely certain that Brenda’s flouting of election laws is all Trump’s fault. You see, during the recount process, people were protesting at the Broward County Election’s office. Mean people!
“Look, I’m no angel, so I had to go on and get away from there,” said Henry, publisher and columnist at the Westside Gazette, which describes itself as Broward County’s “Oldest and Largest African American Owned and Operated Newspaper.”
“Those people were angry because they seemed to have read from the same script, the one coming from Trump’s Twitter feed and [Florida Gov. Rick] Scott’s mouth, folks without so much as one bit of evidence of any kind of crime,” he said. (President Donald Trump called Snipes a “disaster” and urged her ouster.)
Henry? Did you ever think that the folks protesting were ticked off beyond belief because they had figured out that Snipes and the Broward elections division had ensured their Constitutional votes didn’t count? Did you ever think that the folks protesting were pissed because Broward LOST their votes?
Folks, Broward County elections didn’t even start counting the early ballots and early arrival absentee votes until AFTER the election. There were no roadblocks of any kind stopping them from working on those votes counts. None, not even Trump’s tweets. So Broward’s whining about Trump is quite a bit suspect.
Since Election Day, Trump and other Republicans have described Snipes and her work in ways that have left her the embodiment of the rigged and corrupt American election process about which Trump often warns his supporters.
‘rigged and corrupt American election process’ … OH REALLY??!! Are you trying to tell me that people don’t know how to read simple directions? Wow. I mean WOW. According to Janell, all voters are so damned stupid that ballot reading comprehension is nonexistent! Furthermore, if anyone who actually COUNTS the ballots happens to be black and the vote doesn’t go the Democrat way, that means the election was rigged! Trump! Russia! MOAR TINFOIL!
Yet Brenda Snipes told us the election results would be solidified soon and by golly the recount deadline would be met. It wasn’t. Not by a long shot. And then she resigns.
Oh wait. She’s still on the job until after the first of January. Which means she’s gamed the system for benefits and more. But never mind that. What happened to Brenda, according to NBC’s Janell Ross is that it’s Trump AND the Civil War’s fault!
Trump has simply borrowed from a playbook dating back to the period just after the Civil War, Anderson said, referring to a time when black voter involvement in elections began to be described as inherently likely to produce fraudulent outcomes. White Democrats, mostly in the South, often described black Americans as ill-suited to participate in democracy.
Wait what? Trump is a southern White Democrat? That’s a new one! Then there’s this:

Nope. Let’s call it what it is. Virtue signaling garbage on multiple levels.

The way she has poorly handled elections, not just this election but past elections, is well documented and noted factually. She hasn’t been falsely accused because of her race, she’s been rightfully accused because of her track record. Grow the hell up NBC.

Exactly. This was NOT about race. This was about massive levels of willful incompetence. Don’t give me the sob stories of being overworked or not anticipating the turnout or whatever. To hell with your excuses.
NBC would have us think that all the issues were just ‘snafus’ and that waiting until after Election Day to count early voting ballots in addition to absentee and military ballots is par for the course. News Flash, that’s not how this works. Oh and throwing vendors under the bus because of your mistakes is a total Democrat tactic.

NBC News, quit whitewashing vote fraud. Brenda Snipes was incompetent at her job. Period. She didn’t follow clearly defined state and federal election laws. So don’t try to con us into thinking this was about race. Nope. Not gonna play your game.

RL says: This has been a strategy of Dems in Broward County for almost two decades now, elect a Dem black woman as supervisor of elections (Snipes predecessor was also a black woman) and anyone asking for an investigation in the fraud committed in every single election in Broward since 2000 will be immediately accused of racist, misogynist, blah, blah, blah… The worrisome thing is: it works! Republican state officials (beginning with Jeb Bush) had never had the gonads to even investigate, let alone indict any of them for fraud for which documentary evidence was available. The other side of this problems is voters so corrupted as the political establishment: They would happily elect someone who they know is going to commit fraud as long as it gets the Democrat candidate elected. Brenda Snipes is walking away to enjoy her retirement without even been questioned about the fraud and the next Snipes or Oliphant is being already groomed to “find lost boxes of votes” after 2020 election. It’s same-shit-different-day in Broward…

I would tend to believe that that ratio of violent crime per capita of race is similar to the equivalent of those who claim racism.

You see, he’s already determined that all the evidence that everyone else saw wasn’t any evidence at all. And I’m gonna go out on a limb here and suggest it’s because she’s BLACK. (Note how his newspaper bills itself.)

Interestingly, it’s those same people that seem to have made them “ill-suited”. Maybe because “White Democrats” (that is, party leadership) haven’t really been interested in ‘democracy’ or a republic.
