Hillary Clinton once described her top aide Huma Abedin as a “surrogate daughter,” and the two were sometimes more like BFFs than supervisor and assistant. Huma was so indispensable to Hillary that she was expected to obtain a plum senior position in a new Clinton White House.
Then Carlos Danger popped up.
As you know, the FBI found new State Department emails on a computer that Abedin’s estranged husband Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner used to send sexting messages to a 15-year-old girl. None of the State Department emails were sent directly between Hillary and Huma, but those emails didn’t belong on that computer.
That put Huma Abedin in quite the pickle, because she swore under oath in June to the FBI that she had submitted all devices with State Department emails on them.
And now she has no idea how those emails ended up on her horn dog husband’s tainted computer. After all, she swore in a deposition that she “looked for all the devices that may have any of my State Department work on it and returned — returned — gave them to my attorneys for them to review for all relevant documents.” She turned over two laptops, a Blackberry, and some ‘files’ from her apartment.
How does anyone forget how many devices they possess? And who in the world uses their spouse’s computer for work when they have their own?
I have a desktop computer, an iPad, an iPhone, and an Apple Watch. That’s all. And I always know where they are. My husband — as much as I love him — does not use any of my devices. I don’t use his computer, his iPad, or his phone, either. They are digital extensions of our lives as individuals, personalized to our careers and our interests. And even if I did use my husband’s computer, as a speech pathologist I would never store personal client information on it. That’s violating all sorts of ethics.
So why would Huma be so careless as to conduct State Department business on Weiner’s sketchy computer? And how could she forget that State Department emails were on it? Unless, of course, she was trying to cover for him. And now she has become ensnared in his web of scandal, as well as Hillary Clinton’s.
The question remains: will Hillary Clinton remain as loyal to Huma Abedin as Huma is to her? Or will she throw Huma under the proverbial bus? Enquiring people want to know.
On Saturday, Hillary Clinton was on a campaign tour through Florida. Accompanying her was not her right-hand-gal Huma Abedin, but Phillippe Reines, a longtime adviser. Huma was back in Brooklyn working at campaign headquarters. Time will tell if Huma and her Carlos Danger connections are too toxic for Hillary’s White House ambition.
My wife sometimes uses my desktop, and I have used both her and one of my daughter’s laptops. We’ve used each other’s Kindles and iPads and tablets and cell phones before. Howsomeever, none of us has any potentially classified material on those things! The lovely Mrs Weiner had to have been instructed on the proper handling of classified material before being allowed to serve in the State Department.
I I’m with you Dana. My husband and I occasionally use each other’s computers when one of ours is down. Or we occasionally swap phones or Android devices if you will. Neither one of us is cleared for any top secret information or has any. Neither one of us is a disgraced congressman.
Hillary would throw anyone under the bus including her daughter, grandchild, and especially slick willy.
Possibly, this device may be one of several devices taken out of the Weiner household. Maybe it is one of the two missing devices from Hillary’s State Dept. Office. I do hope Huma Abedin will choose her son over Hillary & tell the truth. Sadly I doubt these people know the truth from fiction- their world exists of lies, corruption and the common man is but a toleration to their own personal seedy goals.
