The media REALLY isn’t happy that Paramount and CBS settled with President Trump. This, of course, involved that 60 Minutes interview that was so heavily edited to make Kamala look halfway coherent that it reeked of an in-kind donation to her campaign. Thus, President Trump sued, and now Paramount has settled.
Paramount Global and CBS agreed on Tuesday to pay President Trump a sum that could reach north of $30 million to settle the president’s election interference lawsuit against the network.
Trump will receive $16 million up front. This will cover legal fees, costs of the case, and contributions to his future presidential library or charitable causes, to be determined at Trump’s discretion.
There is an anticipation that there will be another allocation in the mid-eight figures set aside for advertisements, public service announcements, or other similar transmissions, in support of conservative causes by the network in the future, Fox News Digital has learned.
When it’s all said and done, Paramount will be forking over about $30 million total. One of the things I love about this settlement is that some of the money will be funding, at President Trump’s discretion, his Presidential library and/or charities.
Needless to say, the members of the media are…not happy with this news. They didn’t want Paramount and CBS to settle the case. They literally thought Trump would lose this lawsuit, and were ticked off that he refused the initial offer of $15 million in May.
Keep in mind, the initial lawsuit was $10 billion based upon claims of election interference by CBS and 60 Minutes, and their very deceptive editing of that Kamala interview.
No wonder Trump didn't want to do your interview @60Minutes . First, you lied about the Hunter Biden laptop in 2020 and now you plug and play Kamala's answers? Whoa!

Yes, the media lies. All the damned time. We’ve written numerous posts about their lies and animosity towards Trump. But this is a new era compared to President Trump’s first term. People, including President Trump, are punching back hard. And winning.
Well, naturally, the media is beside themselves and are throwing epic tantrums over this settlement. According to Ron Wyden (D-Oregon), Paramount essentially bribed President Trump. He might need to be a little more careful in his word choice.
Elizabeth Warren, fresh off of a Big Beautiful Bill sob fest, agrees with Ron.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren said that she is demanding an investigation into the settlement, and said that she “will soon introduce new legislation to rein in corruption through presidential library donations.”
“With Paramount folding to Donald Trump at the same time the company needs his administration’s approval for its billion-dollar merger, this could be bribery in plain sight,” Warren said in a statement. “Paramount has refused to provide answers to a congressional inquiry, so I’m calling for a full investigation into whether or not any anti-bribery laws were broken.”
Good luck with that Lizzie.
CBS staffers are evidently relieved it’s done, but also disgusted with the settlement. Boo freaking hoo. 60 Minutes turned themselves into pretzels with the interview and editing in an effort to make Kamala look and sound smarter than she is. And got caught. Deal with it.
Former CNN “journalists” Chris Cillizza and Jim Acosta are appalled and dismayed that the “decaying media” caved to Trump. Considering they contributed quite a bit to the decay, their concern is laughable. Maria Shriver is super heartbroken over all of this.
What the media and Democrats don’t want to admit is that CBS and Paramount were going to lose anyway.
Judging by what came out in the successful CNN defamation trial it will expose the ugly truth about how their programming and investigative intentions are directly driven by their personal animosities and affinities.

Exactly. Something else to consider is the discovery phase of the lawsuit.
The reason they keep settling is not because of capitulation. It's because these media companies know what comes out in discovery (emails. Texts like with Tapper and CNN) is more damaging. pic.twitter.com/gNaBMVWiqD

Some are gleeful that Trump won’t get an apology, but they are missing the larger picture in all this. This wasn’t a settlement to just make the case and therefore President Trump go away. This was a move made to ensure that discovery wouldn’t happen.
The media and Democrats can throw all the tantrums they want over this Paramount settlement of the Trump case, but they know and WE know 60 Minutes stepped in it big time by dumping any journalistic integrity they had left, and are being held accountable.

Considering what happened when Elon Musk bought Twitter, it is easy to see how discovery would be a monumental disaster for CBS.
