Mean Girl Anna Wintour Takes Swipe At FLOTUS

Mean Girl Anna Wintour Takes Swipe At FLOTUS

The mean girl of high fashion, Anna Wintour, strikes again. Smug, nose-in-the-air and passive-aggressive as ever, Wintour threw more shade than her Chanel sunglasses could provide when asked about Melania Trump’s fashion sense.

What did she say?

She always looks like herself.

Now, a comment like this does not necessarily reek of days-old Dior Eau de Toxic B*tch, but check out the context around this remark.

I don’t think wearing a power suit to the office is in any way necessary. Think about the women that one admires: Mrs. Obama comes to mind. Whether she’s wearing J.Crew or Duro Olowu or Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel, she always looks like herself. I’m full of admiration for New York City’s new first lady because she looks so cool and wears a lot of vintage—young and modern and also entirely herself. To be fair, Melania Trump also always looks like herself when she dresses.”-Anna Wintour

Mrs. Obama dresses like herself? I can hear the men’s clothing jokes coming. Michelle Obama, the perpetual, oppressed victim of fashion, graced the cover of Vogue three times. She was deemed a fashion icon in eyesore floral frocks.

The “struggling” black woman living up to oppressive, white beauty standards whilst her husband was in office. Life was so tough. Security detail beckoned luxury store shut down for Mrs. O’s (frequent) high-fashion shopping jaunts.

And, excuse me? Rama Duwaji? The “Princess Di” of New York? Yeah. She looks like herself, too. A Jew-hating, Muslim extremist.

And, let’s not forget Vogue‘s spread on Karine Jean Pierre:

Disarm with a smile, or something.

But, go on, Anna…

You have to stand up for what you believe in, and you have to take a point of view. We profile women in the magazine that we believe in the stand that they’re taking on issues we support them, we feel that they are leaders.”-Anna Wintour

Perpetual victim of raaaaaacism, Michelle Obama? A woman who cheered on the rape, sodomy and mutilation of other women? A woman who could not form a coherent sentence during her tenure as Press Secretary of The United States? Another “fearlesss woman” in Anna Wintour’s posse of mean girls? Enter, Meryl Streep, who plays Wintour’s likeness in The Devil Wears Prada II.

The current Vogue cover features Wintour and Streep on the cover steeped in high fashion, with a photo spread of frivolous shenanigans, with equally frivolous and mindless thoughts as one can expect from two elitist twits. They have the platform and they are going full Mean Girls here.

I think the most powerful message that our current first lady sent was in the coat that said ‘I Really Don’t Care, Do U?’ when she was going to see migrant children who were incarcerated.” -Meryl Streep, Vogue

Oh, THE JACKET!

What Streep refused to acknowledge was Melania Trump, at that moment of being photographed by the press, WAS being herself for the mainstream media and was rightfully giving them the finger. She actually took THE JACKET off when she went in to visit the migrant children. And, when was the last time either Streep or Wintour did the same? My guess is even if these two mindless snoots had the opportunity to do the same, they would “politely decline” due to a “previous engagement” like a photo shoot, an art show or some lame self-congratulatory awards ceremony.

Meryl Streep. A strong, “powerful” woman who “stood for something”. She called Harvey Weinstein “God”, and stood up for Roman Polanski.

I have a feeling that the first lady is far from humiliated. She has much more going for her than both Streep and Wintour put together. Besides, she’s too busy doing things that actually matter — like reuniting Ukrainian children with their families and helping bring justice to people who use AI to abuse and stalk women and children — to pay attention to what a bunch of washed-up old women with their noses in the air think about her.”Sarah Anderson, PJ Media,

In other words, Melania Trump has better things to do. But these two women. They are leaders. They are standing for something.

Self-promotion is something, right?

What I liked about the first film is that it showed the world what a huge business fashion is. It’s a true economic force globally, and the first film acknowledged that. So much has changed. But I like to think we’re evolving rather than disintegrating. We are still here. We’re all doing our jobs—in different ways and across multiple platforms instead of just one, but how wonderful is that? We’re reaching far more people.”-Anna Wintour

Yes, Anna. Fashion is a huge business. A true economic source globally. It’s evolving. And you’re doing your job to ensure sweat shops in third-world countries still employ underage children while slapping designer labels on things and marking prices up hundreds and thousands of percentage points compared to what the item actually cost to make. You’re doing your job by promoting the fashion industry and the unrealistic beauty standards it places upon young women. You’re doing your job to promote eating disorders, buccal fat removal, plastic surgeries, the latest Ozempic crazeand years of psychological damage. Yes, YOU. YOUR INDUSTRY.

Yay, you! How wonderful is that?

Yes, FLOTUS looks like herself. Elegant, beautiful and holding her head high. They could never fill her Louboutins. Melania Trump has more grace and beauty than Anna Wintour and Meryl Streep put together on a good day. She does not need their stylists or their approval or a cover on an underrated, vapid magazine.

Anna Wintour also looks like herself here.
