mary jo kopechne: ‘maybe she’d feel it was worth it’

mary jo kopechne: ‘maybe she’d feel it was worth it’

mary jo kopechne: ‘maybe she’d feel it was worth it’

this simply appalls me. i appreciate the fact that democrats want to mourn the loss of an elder statesman. i know that his family and friends are grieving. but may i say, that i am stunned that some would believe mary jo kopechne would gladly sacrifice her life drowning and all alone, while ted kennedy – clearly lacking in courage – swam to safety, all so he could have the long and prosperous senate career.

this is reason # 4,892,321 why i will never, ever – in this life or the next – become a liberal.

We don’t know how much Kennedy was affected by her death, or what she’d have thought about arguably being a catalyst for the most successful Senate career in history. What we don’t know, as always, could fill a Metrodome.

Still, ignorance doesn’t preclude a right to wonder. So it doesn’t automatically make someone (aka, me) a Limbaugh-loving, aerial-wolf-hunting NRA troll for asking what Mary Jo Kopechne would have had to say about Ted’s death, and what she’d have thought of the life and career that are being (rightfully) heralded.

Who knows — maybe she’d feel it was worth it.”

but that’s not all:

“Meanwhile, listening to ”Reflections on Sen. Kennedy … Lion of the Senate” on the Diane Rehm Show on the drive home last night, I was deeply moved to hear Newsweek’s Ed Klein tell guest host Katty Kay about Kennedy’s love of humor. How the late senator loved to hear and tell Chappaquiddick jokes, and was always eager to know if anyone had heard any new ones. Not that Kennedy lacked remorse, Klein quickly added, seeming to intuit that my jaw and perhaps those of other listeners had just hit the floorboards. I gather it was a self-deprecating maneuver on Kennedy’s part, exercised with the famous Kennedy charm, though it sounds like one of those “I guess you had to have been there” things.”

no. i’m glad i wasn’t there. but i suppose that’s where that old joke about ‘my gun killing less people then ted kennedy’s car’ came from.

do liberals equate mary jo’s kopechne’s death as just a ‘footnote’ as some suggest? did ted kennedy himself joke about chappaquiddick? it was, whether the dems want to admit it or not, the singularly defining moment of ted kennedy’s life. it is also, by minimizing the event in such a sub-human way, defining him in death too.

_____

update: hotair had the audio from the ed klein interview discussing teddy’s ‘humor.’ i’ve added it below:

‘ridiculous side’??? completely classless.

_____

update: it seems even after 4 days of over-the-top funeral events for ted kennedy, barack obama received no ’sympathy bounce’ many liberals expected for their maroon-in-chief. this means obamacare is still flopping around like a dying fish.

And the neo-socialists cry about us dancing on Kennedy’s grave?

“How the late senator loved to hear and tell Chappaquiddick jokes,”

    Yeah, that’s class.

  • micky says:

Yesterday Kate and touched slightly on justice and how liberals shouldnt be allowed near that word in almost any context.
And today, here we go, the perfect example why.
To try and somehow rationalize Mary Jos murder as “just” by claiming it helped to promote some greatness promotes a vocabulary that would make even me cringe.
Its like saying the people that Tookie Williams murdered was all worth it because in the end it brought him to produce some wonderful kids books.

  • CK says:

I just read your post on MaryJo Kopechne and Chappaquidick on rightpundits.com. It happened before I was born. I had heard of the incident of course but only as a past scandal in Kennedy’s life. I appreciate your post there because it told the story of what happened before, during, and after that incident. I also had a completely different impression of Mary Jo that in hindsight I am not proud of.

I can’t believe someone would sacrifice the promising life of Mary Jo for the scandal-ridden Ted Kennedy. If he wanted or needed atonement for what happened on that night, he could have quietly worked behind the scenes at a homeless shelter or many other venues. This comment disgusts me and minimizes this poor girl in such way that it is haunting.

  • Marsha says:

    Kate
Rush Limbaugh just started his show with this very topic! You beat him to it. HA!

  • kate says:

i know marsha — i’m listening to him too. i actually wrote this last night at around 10 pm (west coast time) because i was so hot about it. i simply timestamped it for this an. i am sure we’ll hear a lot about this today.

  • Jane says:

    Kate STOP!!!!!!!!!!!

THESE CONSTANT “BASH KENNEDY” POSTS ARE WHAT’S OFFENSIVE!

Can you not let the family bury him before you smirk and scowl and foam at the mouth over his long forgiven sin?

  • Jane says:

He has spent his whole career being concerned for the downtrodden and their well-being and you know that.

  • Rope says:

Jane, quick question. Do you think it’s funny he makes jokes about chappaquiddick?
Do you think as penni does that Mary Jo was just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or like me do you think the coward swam out of a wrecked car, left an innocent young woman to drown, failed to report it, then went on with his life and made jokes about it.

Forgive him, it’s not up to me. Forget what happen, not likely.

  • kate says:

‘concerned for the downtrodden and their well-being’

jane he wasn’t so concerned for mary jo’s wellbeing now was he? even years later as he jokes about chappaquiddick — that’s at her expense you know, certainly not his. in fact, he in death, is being lauded by the left for his jokes about it.

i wanted to keep quiet, be respectful for loved ones’ sake. but this sickening white-washing of his past is something i won’t be quiet about.

if you’re so bothered by me and my wee blog, it might be best if you go fishing like Dan, until its over.

  • Jane says:

“Jane, quick question. Do you think it’s funny he makes jokes about chappaquiddick?”

Rope many people use humor to deflect pain. It is well documented that Ted Kennedy had an outgoing jovial personality. I believe he probably did this “joking” to defuse the “elephant in the room” called Chappaquiddick that followed him all his life. I am sure he wasn’t mocking Mary Jo’s horrible, horrible death.

Kate as a christian I would think you could show more compassion. I am obviously wrong.

  • BikerDan says:

    “Kate STOP!!!!!!!!!!!
THESE CONSTANT “BASH KENNEDY” POSTS ARE WHAT’S OFFENSIVE!
Can you not let the family bury him before you smirk and scowl and foam at the mouth over his long forgiven sin?”

Oh for chrissakes Jane! Meltdown day 2 or is it 3? If these posts are offensive, what do you call the posts at the DU? Or at TPM? Or at FDL?

And you sure as hell are not going fishing me!

  • Dade says:

Normally, I try to avoid commenting on posts like this. But today, I’m in a mood.

It is customary in our society not to speak ill of the dead, regardless of their sins in life. But the crowd here seems beholden to such (apparently) quaint notions of decorum.

    So be it!

It does make me long for the day in the hopefully-not-too-distant future when Big Dick Cheney kicks the bucket.

You’ll hear it then! Oh, yes! You’ll hear it alright.

  • PenniePan says:

Jane honey. Yes, we know they secretly cheer and toast his death. After all, he has been their nemesis for a very long time. They hated him. But, think of the fun we’ll all have when Shrub and Darth’s times come!

  • micky says:

Use humor to deflect pain ?
jeez, you’ll say anything to justify bad behavior, wont you ?
What makes you think that s Christians we are supposed to forget what was a cancer upon our country ? Hamas and the Taliban have been doing wonderful things for Afghani and Palestinian families for quite a while but that doesnt stop us from never forgetting what they are never mind giving some kind of respect when one of their leaders dies.

Good Dade. I guess you’ll be blaming Cheney for all the dead Iraqis. The ones liberals cared so much about when Saddam was killing them by the hundreds of thousands in the streets.
And dont even bother trying to use the troops. They volunteered for what they knew they were doing. Unless you guys can finally prove that Bush intentionally lied you’ll be on the losing end of that one.
Ya know, we cant blame every Nazi for every dead Jew but we can go after the ones who had a part in it. Just s Kennedy was always such a big champion supporter of abortion we have to give him the blame for having his hand in the deaths of babies in what amounts to 1.40 million abortions a year.

I dont think Cheney ever killed someone and then right afterward registered in a hotel room. Thats a hard act to follow

    Go ahead.

  • micky says:

“But, think of the fun we’ll all have when Shrub and Darth’s times come!”

Yeah, and we wont go peeing our pants and crying all over the place when you do.
There isnt much after the last 8 years that havent already said that would make too much difference

  • Rope says:

Penni you are about as clueless as they come. I do not cheer or toast his death. Even I feel for the loss his family has suffered. You have just shown once again how truly classless you are, because as much as I disrespected Uncle Teddy I would never ever think or much less say “Oh what fun we’ll have when he dies”.

And Jane, joking about someone dying when you’re the one directly responsible for it well thats about as tasteless as you can get.

And Dade, “It does make me long for the day in the hopefully-not-too-distant future when Big Dick Cheney kicks the bucket.

You’ll hear it then! Oh, yes! You’ll hear it alright”

I know we don’t see eye to eye on many things, but man I didn’t expect something like that from you. Oh well you read and you learn.

  • Ken says:

“It is customary in our society not to speak ill of the dead, regardless of their sins in life.”

Because the left never danced on Reagan’s grave, right Dade?

If looking forward to the death of someone gives you all joy, so be it, you must have very sad lives. I don’t seem to recall anything said that wasn’t true.

  • Ken says:

“It is customary in our society not to speak ill of the dead, regardless of their sins in life.”

Oh and I almost forgot, since this offends you so much, Dade, you must have been terribly offended to learn that Kennedy was in effect “speaking ill of the dead” when he asked about any good Chappaquidick jokes, right?

  • Paul says:

I am posting this on this thread because what I want to say is about both of the Mary Jo/Ted posts.

In your tiny minds, EVERY tragedy is an opportunity for the bad liberals to exploit regarding some communistic or socialistic public policy or to somehow protect or “whitewash” their imperfect icons reputations.

Except for one little problem: health care was an issue on the table before Senator Kennedy’s passing – not to mention the fact that he was a staunch advocate of reform. He paid a huge price for Chappaquiddick including losing opportunity to be president 2x. His name will be forever shadowed by what happened that night. He had huge victories and huge failings. But for you people to harp on it its more disgusting now to me.

This will come back to haunt the GOP when the time comes for: Bush, Sr., Cheney, Shrub, Clarence Thomas, Limblaugh… and the list goes on!

  • lisab says:

    paul,

don’t forget to get your mary jo tee shirt at http://www.fatboy.cc

  • Toma says:

The Kennedy fortune and fame was built on Joe’s bootleg whiskey and renowned for sex, drugs, and getting rid of those who got in the way.

I watched Teddy (and his friends) publicly libel, demean, slander and do his very best to destroy people he didn’t like or just got in his way. He did this through his microphone on the Senate floor. He was a powerful, illmannered, dishonorable, immoral person. Out side of that I suppose he was a wonderful, funny, caring man.

Paul, we will all pay, even you.

    Toma

  • Tony says:

At least to my knowledge Sen. Kennedy never starred in a movie with a damn chimpanzee. Maybe if he had, you might show some respect.

  • Tony says:

By the by, did you know there is a movement underfoot to rename the DC airport after Edward Moore Kennedy as well as freeways, public buildings, and other public structures that were named after Regan.

We’re sick of your puppet-like devotion to a warmonger. Instead we plan to honor someone who really did dedicate his life to improving the lot of every American – even the ones who hated him like all of you assholes.

  • Seamus says:

No one will mourn Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck or Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin or Sarah Palin, or Bush and Cheney…they’ll make the news but no one will really mourn their passing. In fact, some will drink champagne and dance in the streets.

  • micky says:

    Paul, Seamus.
    You’re threats are boring.
What could you guys possibly say about any of these people after they’re dead that you havent already said while their alive ?
Do you mean to try and tell all of us that if we turned on a dime right now and started issuing nice mooshy compliments to Kennedy that you would somehow be respectful to any conservative in the future after he dies ?
Hell, we conservatives could suggest that every damn thing in the country be named after Kennedy and I promise you as soon as one of ours passes you guys will party in the streets regardless.
Its really stupid of you all to think anyone is that dumb. Really, your “just wait and see ” rhetoric is pretty funny

“He paid a huge price for Chappaquiddick including losing opportunity to be president 2x. ”

    Awww, poor baby.
Are you serious ? He should of been locked up for at least ten years !!!

“By the by, did you know there is a movement underfoot to rename the DC airport after Edward Moore Kennedy as well as freeways, public buildings, and other public structures that were named after Regan. ”

    What ???
    No bridges ?

  • Ken says:

“Except for one little problem: health care was an issue on the table before Senator Kennedy’s passing – not to mention the fact that he was a staunch advocate of reform.”

That was never the issue, Paul, the issue was how the same people who seem to be so offended by people pointing out the FACTS about Kennedy are the same ones who have no problem with dems who are politicizing his death trying to milk a health care bill out of it. Pathetic, sad, and disgusting, but its exactly what we would expect from todays democrats.

“His name will be forever shadowed by what happened that night.”

His name is what kept him out of prison over what happened that night.

“This will come back to haunt the GOP when the time comes for: Bush, Sr., Cheney, Shrub, Clarence Thomas, Limblaugh… and the list goes on!”

Not at all Paul, lowlifes like yourself will always delight in the suffering and death of people you don’t agree with politically. Once again, there is nothing that has been said about Kennedy that isn’t true. Also, take a look back at some of the things that were said about Reagan after his death by the left, then come back here and cry. Frankly, I couldn’t care less what you or any of the neo-socialists have to say or what you think of Republicans.

Oh and by the way, your mention of Clarence Thomas qualifies you as a racist, have a good day.

“At least to my knowledge Sen. Kennedy never starred in a movie with a damn chimpanzee. Maybe if he had, you might show some respect.”

Not really. I would have felt awfully sorry for that chimpanzee though.

“We’re sick of your puppet-like devotion to a warmonger.”

More liberalspeak mantra. Hey Tony, go get an original thought and try again, we hear that garbage here every day.

“Instead we plan to honor someone who really did dedicate his life to improving the lot of every American”

    Even the one he killed?

  • paula says:

    Paul –

And what was the price Mary Jo Kopechne paid…oh yeah…her life.

  • gene says:

    hahahaha

it hardly matters what the few of you say on this blog. tonite’s service was beautiful and tomorrow’s will be even better when the president of the united states gives old ted’s funeral. i even read that shrub’s gonna be there. so sit down children.

  • micky says:

All of a sudden Bush can do something right , huh Gene ?

    Pathetic.

“it hardly matters what the few of you say on this blog. ”

Yeh, then why were all your panties bunched up earlier ?

“. tonite’s service was beautiful and tomorrow’s will be even better ”

I counted about 15 references to healthcare in two hours of listening to eulogies and testimonials.

And you talk about us ?

  • Toma says:

Mick you should not be suprised at the references to Obamacare in the testimonials. You and I both know that the Dems have no honor and no manners. They will go to any extreme use any venue to promote their agenda. Nothing is out of bounds to these people. To quote Daffy Duck “They’re Disssspickable.”

BTW didn’t Daffy vote for Obama? Several times if I remember right. ACORN does very good work.

    Toma

  • micky says:

Had an experience with my mother while discussing universal healthcare.
For total disclosure my moms a roaring moonbat but very uninformed. Shes my mom and I love her uconditionally… but !
We all came here from Denmark when I was three, I was raised American, she had already been indoctrinated by one of the most socialist countries on the planet, and is still loyal to the ideology.
During the course of the conversation I made the mistake of complaining about the dysfunctionality between my pharmacy and the insurance company and so she returned with the a generic stump for universal healthcare and how if I had it none of that would be happening and bla bla bla, weve all heard it.
I expalined all the reasons why we cant and shouldnt have it, that this is not Denmark and we dont have a history of being accustomed to socialist policies, how the feds never run any program like this in any competent manner, the costs, the infringement on rights and how the whole country could go bankrupt and bring on anarchy in our system like weve never seen.
Her answers and attitude were what I thought I would hear from some the trolls and regulars on this blog. I was taken back at her blatant beligerance to the country and the people. She right away went on a frothing at the mouth defensive about how shes paid her whole life into the system, doesnt care about the kids futures, (even my kid, her grandkids) doesnt care about everyones taxes going up, doesnt care that the quality of care will be lesser, DIDNT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING !
She just wanted what she thought she should have and to hell eveyone and everything else

Liberalism is such a fricking disease when its got your own mother telling you to hell with everything and I just want what I want. I can see that kind of exchange between two people who dont really know each other that well but when the ideology has totally taken over any kind of civil discourse that should take place between family memebrs you betcherass its pretty bad.
I cant believe how arrogant these people are to demand something that will pay out way more than they pay into at a cost of those who are already struggling.
And if they’re not struggling and filthy rich it doesnt matter ! Its not your f*cking money to take as you please just because you feel victimized. The only reason you liberals dont want to do the most logical thing and fix the system in place is because it means you’ll have to pay your own fricking way. On the other end of the spectrum it works just perfect for the politicians because this way they’ve got your vote evrey 4 years if you want to keep your insurance.
You guys dont care about the children, the country or anyone else. You’re just tired of having to work and pay your own bills, thats all.

  • Jane says:

Oh. So are you here illegally Mickey? Are you even an American citizen?

  • Beth says:

Anybody else notice the shameful exploitation of Ted Kennedy’s grandkids including an 8 yr old to push Obamacare? I will never vote Democrat again after today. I don’t like the Republicans either so I don’t know what to do.

  • micky says:

Jane, that was so stupid I dont know what to say

  • Kellie says:

This group spent 4 days burying someone who had a failed attempt at running NOT even being president. Why??? He got away with manslaughter even withh no punishment .

Is not payback a bitch? Here these people had all this pomp and fluff an when they actually get to the burying part, no one could see it be cause the ahole’s ran out of time and daylight. HaHa.

We should save these kinds of events for our heroes not our rich and powerful. We have screwed up priorities.

  • Jane says:

So you aren’t an American citizen. Just “raised” American.

  • micky says:

Does it matter ? I should have healthcare if I’m illegal, right ?
    Were you raised American ?

Actually I’m a covert Danish operative for the last 48 years stationed in Hawaii masquerading as a conservative.

  • gene says:

“Does it matter ? I should have healthcare if I’m illegal, right ?”

ya it does matter since your the first one to insult everyone who isn’t a neo-con for being unamerican. funny. old mick here who has been milking the system all his life is now not american too!

  • micky says:

No, it doesnt matter one bit.
In that 47 million that you all keep wetting yourselves over and insist should have healthcare 30% of them are illegal. Then again, they get it already anyway except us who pay for it just pay the higher emergency room rates.

Youe both idiots. I’ll tell you why.
Jane thinks that because you’re raised American you’re not American. Can someone besides a moonbat please help me to see the logic in the thinking behind that statement ?
    And Gene, you believe her.

Now, maybe you’d care to try and refute something of substance for once instead of the stupid sh*t you pull up outta yer a$$.

  • Jane says:

All those drugs really damaged your brain cells didn’t they Mickey? You said you didn’t come to this country until you were 3. That is what my question was based on. You were the one who said you were “raised American”. You are namecalling too. Please stop that.

  • micky says:

Yes, I still ask, how does “raised American” make me “not an American” ?

How creative, I did drugs. Well this is true. But good God whats your excuse ?
Maybe if t you read the part where my mom said she had paid into the system her whole life and felt entitled you might have a clue.
Now you even steeped the stupidy with the assumption that anyone who came here from a foreign country at 3 is not an American. You just cant get out of your own way fast enough, can you ?

Now, please answer at least one of my questions or I wont play pee pee contest with you any more

  • Jane says:

Are you a citizen Mickey? That’s a straight forward question.

  • kate says:

jane you are baiting. knock it off.

  • Jane says:

I just asked a question. He won’t answer and by doing that, he answered.

  • micky says:

    Look, screw this crap.
What I wrote was of a little personal context only to lead into the healthcare issue which is subtopic of Kennedy.
Its amazing how Jane only wants to discuss my personal life instead of the issues I mentioned and finds it valid conversation to ask If I’m here legally or not.
If anyones made a point here thats of any substance its been me in showing just how true it is that liberals cant talk about this issue on a logical and factual basis simply because they’re wrong, and they know it. so instead they go into anything and everything that has little to do with nothing. The play the compassion card, the one that says conservatives dont care, they lie about the facts, they play the victim, they make up things out of whole cloth, they obfuscate, they create diversions like special investigations, play on dead comrades to make a point and on and on and on. But they’ve yet to explain how it will work or how its paid for. If theres ever been reasons not to read a bill that there is the list of them.

Just because I dont answer is not an indication of anything. Is that more of your brainstorm logic ? I can see why you’d never be an attorney. Actually, it explains everything

Jane, I’ll give you a hint.
I have a father which earlier I mentioned nothing about.

    G’nite

  • Ken says:

    “I just asked a question.”

Ok, how about this for an answer, “It’s none of your business”.

“jane you are baiting. knock it off.”

Jane is not smart enough to bait, she’s just being herself, a troll. As usual she’s trying to change the subject. Typical.

“You are namecalling too. Please stop that.”

That’s priceless coming from you, Jane. Really.

“ya it does matter since your the first one to insult everyone who isn’t a neo-con for being unamerican.”

You criticize Micky for insulting everyone then use an insult in the same sentence. Gene, I’ve seen huge amounts of stupidity on this site (remember Kevin?) but I have to say that you top even him.

Anyway, did anyone catch the service for Kennedy? I didn’t, I managed not to catch a single minute of glorifying media envy all weekend. I did read where at his service they were “praying for Obamacare”. Democrats really are the lowest of the low. You screamed at Bush when he even referred to religion during his 8 years, but sit by and have nothing to say when they drag politics into a funeral service.

I cannot tell you how good I feel knowing that I never put a single one of these cretins in power.

  • Toma says:

Ken and Mick, I’ll stand with you guys any day. I didn’t watch any of the Obamacare campaign either. Watching Dems angers most people. Dems have an obvious tell when they lie, their mouths start moving. Have you guys caught the AARP ad on t.v.? The media is trying to brainwash the public.

    Stay vigilant.

    Toma

  • wetbackmick says:

    @ Ken.
Kenneds funeral is probably the only funeral where the guest of honor doesnt care if they politicize it.They”re trying everything. The latest now is that Obamacare will help the deficit and fix the economy.

    Toma.
Its not just the ads, the networks themselves are using his death to push Obamacare
    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brent-baker/2009/08/26/nbc-exploits-kennedy-push-obamacare-national-sorrow-has-created-politic

  • It is not speaking ill of the dead when talking about the facts of the person’s life. Ted Kennedy drove off a bridge in Chappaquiddick with Mary Jo Kopechne as his passenger. He left her in the car and went back to a party. He failed to report the accident to anyone. And he got away with it.

Ted Kennedy left an innocent person to die a lonely and likely terrifying death. This is only presenting the facts.

Also fact is that Ted Kennedy apparently liked collecting jokes about Chappaquiddick. Which is just sick no matter what his reasons.

It is a fact that Ted Kennedy enjoyed an illustrious senatorial career and the money & prestige & power provided by that position and by his family.

It is a fact that Mary Jo Kopechne never got to enjoy anything approaching a normal lifespan. To say that she may have felt her death to be “worth it” for Kennedy to have the career he did is also just plain sick.

None of these things are untrue. So how is it that they indicate we speak ill of the dead? Someone has to talk about all the truths about a person…

  • PenniePan says:

WOW. Using “Wetback” is so racist and over the top even as a joke or a slam.

  • wetbackmick says:

i can myself anything i want baby

  • micky says:

    I can “CALL” myself anything I want… BABY !

While I’m at it why dont you tell me whats so racist about having to swim to shore ?

  • gene says:

never saw someone so arrogant to call himself a racist and be proud of it for the sake of a blog argument.

besides your physical issues dude you have mental ones too.

  • wetbackmick says:

since pennies clueless on all fronts maybe you could tell me whats racist about using the term “wetback”?
maybe at the same time you could tell me how I called myself a racist ?

here, why dont you try and learn something besides taking every word you can and twisting nto some PC tool to help you look more ignorant than you already are ?

” Originally a nick name for Mexicans greaser, beaner, pepper belly, either legally or illegally in the country. Originated in the American Southwest border states, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Through common usage has come to mean citizens of any nation who have immigrated here illegally. ”

The term first orginated in the 20s refering to those that crossed the Rio Grand.
Simply because their backs got wet in the process. “Wetback” was used by border agents as a means to more expediently explain the method an individual used to enter.
So please tell me how a european such as myself who crossed the atlantic to get here (actually in a boat) calling himself “wetback” makes me a racist or indicates pride in being racist.
    I’ll be waiting.

  • wetbackmick says:

“never saw someone so arrogant to call himself a racist and be proud of it for the sake of a blog argument.”

    I’m just killing time bro.
What I’d really like to do instead of having this little peeing match is see if you could tell me how Ted Kennedys death will somehow propell Obamacare on a factual basis and not emotional, or if you even know what the dems latest line of crap is to try and push the issue.
I guess ole teddy croaking only had a limited effect on getting people drawned to actually wanting this garbage so I’m curious as to what the next set of lures look like. More and more now I,m hearing its going to reduce the deficit by 2019 and not increase it.
    Your thoughts ?

  • Rope says:

You might be waiting a while, wetbackmick. So sit back enjoy a cervesa, penni doesn’t debate issuses. 🙂

As far as obamacare, how much lower can you get then having uncle ted’s young grandson push healthcare in the middle of his funeral? Pathetic.

  • micky says:

    Rope.

  • Paul says:

There hasn’t been enough time to see if Barack or Obamacare gets a boost from the death of Ted Kennedy. And may I say how “Vulture-ish” of you all.

Mary Jo Kopechne by the way as a democratic politico and a rising ideologue. Of course it was sad she died in the accident (and it WAS an accident) but if she could be asked today, I believe she would have said “good job Senator!”

  • Ken says:

Nobody said it wasn’t an accident Paul. What WASN’T an accident is when he swam to shore, walked to a hotel and waited nine hours before he called his LAWYER and then the police.

It’s quite amusing that you accuse other of being vulture-ish while wondering if Obama will get a bump in the polls from his death and then speaking for a dead woman in saying “good job”.

    Quite pathetic.
