I had hoped that Ted Kennedy had become repentant about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne in the later years of his life. He very well may have found remorse in his final hours, and for the sake of his soul I hope he did, but judging by this audio, it’s looking very doubtful.

Apparently the man that liberals and the mainstream media are sanctifying right now liked to joke about Chappaquiddick. How hilarious, joking about the girl you killed. Real classy, huh?

I don’t know if you know this or not, but one of his favorite topics of humor was indeed Chappaquiddick itself. And he would ask people, “have you heard any new jokes about Chappaquiddick?” That is just the most amazing thing. It’s not that he didn’t feel remorse about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, but that he still always saw the other side of everything and the ridiculous side of things, too.

Oh, that’s so special, he liked to joke about the girl he left to drown!

The guy almost immediately started backpedaling — “it’s not that he didn’t feel remorse” — but the point was still made. Sure, he felt some remorse, but damn, that shit was funny! Yeah, a real hoot.

It becomes harder and harder to be respectful in the wake of his death. The fact that this man, who seems to be more and more of a monster, will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery next to JFK and RFK, real war heroes and great Americans, and alongside countless others who fought for our country, nauseates me.
