North Carolina congressional candidate and paraplegic Madison Cawthorn stood, with help, at the end of his third night RNC speech. Apparently, he hit a nerve and it’s now open season on the young man. Yamiche Alicindor, of PBS, and others are attacking him as a white supremacist.
It was a night of top notch speakers, including Clarence Henderson and Sister Dede Byrne. Hawthorn delivered a great speech and stood out because he stood up.
Madison Cawthorn is running to replace Mark Meadows, who left Congress to become Chief of Staff to President Donald Trump. He became a paraplegic in a car accident at age 18. He is now a motivational speaker, real estate investor, and congressional candidate.
If you didn’t get a chance to see the speech by Madison Cawthorn, here it is in full:
The end of the video, when Cawthorn, aided by braces, a walker and two friends, stands up, is a stellar moment. He challenges everyone to kneel before God and stand for the flag. And Yamiche Alcindor found that RACIST. She tweeted:
Madison Cawthorn made it a point to stand, suggesting that all Americans to should stand during the pledge of allegiance & national anthem.
It was a direct rebuke of actions by ppl — including black athletes who are currently sitting out games — protesting police brutality.

Alcindor is one who finds anyone who doesn’t embrace their white fragility and apologize a racist. She especially calls out Trump. Alcindor finds no hypocrisy in overpaid athletes having their social justice bleating goods made in sweatshops. Thinking a race of people is less than your race of people is RACIST. Yamiche is all about skin color.
Next up to go after Madison Cawthorn was the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) which published this brief:
Tomorrow, controversial GOP congressional nominee Madison Cawthorn is set to speak at the Republican National Convention weeks after Cawthorn came under fire for a not-so-subtle pattern of signaling his sympathy for white supremacy:
Perhaps most egregiously, in a once-deleted, now-reposted Instagram post, Cawthorn celebrated crossing off a visit to the “Fuhrer’s” vacation home from his bucket list. Per Cawthorn, he spent the day laughing and sharing “such a good time,” at this glaring symbol of Hitler’s genocide:
Up until reports were published, Cawthorn followed only 88 people on Twitter– a shorthand for “Heil Hitler” in white supremacist circles, as the letter “H” is the 8th letter in the alphabet.
Cawthorn’s “real estate company” is called SPQR Holdings. SPQR, a motto of the ancient Roman Republic, has been adopted by white supremacist groups and was displayed on flags at the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville.
In a prominently featured picture of Cawthorn, a holster has the image of a Spartan soldier’s helmet, which is a symbol associated with right wing extremists, including the far-right Oath Keepers group – which the Anti-Defamation League calls “one of the largest anti-government extremist groups currently operating in the United States” and whose members have been arrested on explosives charges.
Cawthorn went to Eagle’s Nest, which was a Hitler vacation home. The lair was made famous in “Band of Brothers” and maybe Madison Cawthorn is an Easy Company fan. I know I am. I hope in honor of Easy Company, Cawthorn sang “Blood Upon The Risers” aka “Gory Gory”, too.
Cawthorn named his company SPQR and that has been co-opted by white supremacists. Heckfire, just about everything has been co-opted by those spawns of Satan. The okay sign. Hawaiian shirts. Probably, saltine crackers too. Or, maybe Madison is a fan of Russell Crowe and the movie “Gladiator”.
Cawthorn had 88 followers and 8 is the number for Hitler. Well, butter my backside and call me a biscuit. You just cannot with these people. They claim the right-wing believes every conspiracy theory, but they take that to a new level.
CNN and the Huffington Post took the DCCC talking points and dutifully repeated them. To make sure that they were distributed to a wide audience.
We cannot let Yamiche Alcindor, the DCCC and their fellow travelers smear good people. Madison Cawthorn is a good guy. Defend him and stand up, too.

I was stunned when he made his move to stand. A man of principle. Convincing.
[…] them drop altogether. Again, he’s 26 and young and dumb. He came into office in 2020 and made headlines when he got to speak at the RNC Convention. And yet, his young and dumb gets a full color picture […]
