Justice Alito With An Appeal To Heaven

Justice Alito is ruffling the feathers of some Democrats with his An Appeal To Heaven Flag. It seems to especially irritate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). Now, baby girl wants to investigate Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and his flag-waving liberties.

One of the many things I love about writing for the Victory Girls is that I learn a lot. Embarrassingly enough, a few days ago, I had never heard of the An Appeal To Heaven Flag, and I served in the United States Navy. Maybe they did teach us this history, and I forgot. I don’t know.

Nonetheless, here we are with a Supreme Court Justice flying a flag representing a part of America’s history. And, of course, a Democrat loses her mind. AOC is not just taking offense to it but just downright hates it.

The “An Appeal to Heaven” flag, one of the foremost flags used by Patriot forces during the Revolutionary War, was spotted flying above Alito’s house, drawing outrage from Democrats. In an appearance on MSNBC’s All In With Chris Hayes, Ocasio-Cortez claimed that the flying of the flag was Alito’s way of identifying with Jan. 6 rioters. – Washington Examiner

So Justice Alito flew a flag over his beach house, and AOC claims it identified with Jan 6 people? Guess what? He probably flew an American flag over his house, too. And guess what else? He can probably identify with Jan 6 people because he stands and walks on two legs, has red blood flowing through his veins, and has a beating heart that loves the Constitution.

I swear, these people and their reach. You’ve got nothing, AOC.

However, suppose we will talk about flags identifying with certain things. In that case, I think the more considerable egregious behavior is our education department turning teachers into activists with their BLM and Pride flags in children’s classrooms.

Let’s not forget the real evil amongst us. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona at the helm of activism in schools. Here, he is proudly defending the new Title IX rules that allow males to be in female spaces, locker rooms, and sports.

Also, he has a cousin who thinks she is a guy.

The Real Attention

This is where the real attention should be, AOC. Our government needs to investigate this rampant virus through our halls of representatives. This administration is steeped in transcultism.

Dick Levine, the Assistant Secretary for Health. Or Shawn Skelly, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness. And at the state level, more and more transcult members are somehow elected. And let us not forget about Sam Brinton.

Those are just a few. If you do your own research, you might be surprised about how many of the transcult are in office and who are effectively changing laws regarding women.

I realize I took this bus off the beaten path this morning regarding the An Appeal To Heaven flag and Justice Alito being targeted by AOC and her stupidity. But really, what is more dangerous? A flag flying on a beach house or laws being changed and language being censored because Joe Biden’s transcult wants to eliminate truth and morals?

The contrast of the two topics couldn’t be more apparent. Not to mention, AOC sits on the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs. How about doing something with that, Sandy? Perhaps your time would be better spent looking into the broken laws at our border.

The Democrats want to destroy any semblance of American morals and values. This is why this election season is so important. Can we take another four years of Biden and his band of transing America?

“And where the Body of the People, or any single Man, is deprived of their Right, or is under the Exercise of a power without right, and have no Appeal on Earth, there they have a liberty to appeal to Heaven, whenever they judge the Cause of sufficient moment.” – John Locke

I’ve got my appeal to heaven; I pray that we elect Joe Biden out of office. Now, excuse me while I go purchase my own An Appeal To Heaven flag.

The Appeal to Heaven flag is an issue because it is a flag used by Christian Nationalists. In case you’ve forgotten or were unaware, Christian Nationalism “is the belief that the American nation is defined by Christianity, and that the government should take active steps to keep it that way. Popularly, Christian nationalists assert that America is and must remain a ‘Christian nation’—not merely as an observation about American history, but as a prescriptive program for what America must continue to be in the future.” (Definition from Christianity Today article, 2/3/21)

Christian Nationalism is an idea that flies in the face of the principals on which our country was founded and is in direct opposition to the First Amendment which states in its first clause: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” That a justice of the Supreme Court should show support for the ideas of Christian Nationalism is unconstitutional and abhorrent. He has ruled on cases relating to January 6th— where many flew that same flag—and is continuing to do so. Here he is showing a clear and irrefutable bias when he is supposed to remain neutral. This doesn’t mean that judges can’t have personal opinions or ideas or beliefs, but that they shouldn’t express them in such a publicly partisan way. They should remain neutral. THAT is the issue. Not your ridiculous whataboutism. It is imperative that government officials, especially judges, rule based on the facts of the law, not on their beliefs. The fact that you appear to not see this is alarming to say the least. Maybe you should have done a bit more research.

So you oppose all the dims waving Ukraine flags, or putting Palestinian flags up?

If he had the flag in his office, you MIGHT have a point (though just because a group hijacks a historical symbol of our nation doesn’t mean that everyone using it has the same ideals) he has every damn right to fly it at his own residence.

You are also correct that judges, should rule on the facts of law (and the Constitution), not their own beliefs, but other than the fever dreams of leftists like AOC, there is nothing to suggest he has allowed his beliefs to override the law.

The Appeal to Heaven flag was designed by Colonel Joseph Reed, who served as the personal secretary to George Washington. Originally commissioned for use on six military cruiser ships, the flag was adopted on October 21, 1775. It became the official Massachusetts navy flag in 1776.

Washington’s secretary chose a simple yet impactful design featuring a singular pine tree, a symbol of strength and resiliency within the New England states. The words “An Appeal to Heaven” stretch atop a white field, boldly proclaiming an appeal to God to save the colonists from the King’s oppressive ruling.

      In God We Trust.

Take your “Christian nationalist” talking points somewhere else. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a Christian.

Not hardly. Christianity IS the very foundation of the Western Civilization that founded America. Without it you never get “freedom” or “equality” or a First Amendment.

You and your kind masturbate furiously when the American flag gets burned and you would raise the rainbow flag over my country’s flag and salute it. Maybe if you’d bother to read instead of skim, you would have noticed the history lesson about that flag.

And given that Supreme Court justices like Ginsburg and Sotamayor never recused themselves on other cases shows that you embrace double standards. Sit this one out and stop embarrassing yourself.

Before I retired, one of the attorneys I worked with was a Black man who was influential enough within the Democrat party to both have met Bill Clinton and to be his guest at a fundraising dinner for Barack Obama first go around.

You know what he had on the wall of his office? A very large Gadsden flag. And he felt comfortable displaying it all the way through 2020 (when I retired) and I expect until he did. He didn’t let a loud minority of bad faith, faux outrage, claiming it was a “racist” flag to cow him. It is the same tempest in a tea pot over this one … a flag that is mostly known by history nerds.

And “Christian nationalist” is the new blood libel of the anti-American Left. Whether it was Goldwater in the 60s or the TEA party in the 00s, The Left creates a caricature, then damns their own creation. Barry Obama’s “bitter clingers” or Shrillery’s “basket of deplorables”, all dissent from the Left is condemned as ‘nefarious.’

      What projection!

      • Cameron says:

You notice how he and Kevin basically drop a load and never have the courage to back up what they say?

And “Christian nationalist” is the new blood libel of the anti-American Left

That’s an excellent description. And never once do they try explaining how being Christian or being a “nationalist” is a bad thing. Maybe they can’t find the right sentence from The Handmaid’s Tale..

the same people who raided the Capitol
“Raided”? This kind of senseless, emotional hyperbole is why so many (sorry, VictoryGirls) advocate the repeal of the 19th Amendment. It’s literally just someone who has been offended spouting off with whatever word comes to mind. As long as it’s 8-shades-of-Bacon related to a correct word it’ll work for them. Sheesh. She wouldn’t know a real “raid” if Vikings carried her off after sacking DC.

    BLM and Pride flags
Yes, a flag identifies your allegiance and theirs is not to the United States but to their ideology: Progressivism. And Alito’s is to… the Founder’s America. And that’s bad? (Well, to a Progressive it is; because that’s what they have to defeat to usher in their globalist wet-dream utopia.)

The contrast of the two topics couldn’t be more apparent.
Not so much contrast, as I point out. It’s about where their allegiance lies. They want to take America away from its roots, and people like Alito want to return it to its foundations.

The Democrats want to destroy any semblance of American morals and values.
The Progressives want to do so. Because it’s how they get their utopia of hedonism and transhumanism. It’s how they make themselves their own gods, determining right and wrong, and enjoying absolute license to go after their own hearts.
