Irish Vote To Repeal 8th Amendment-And The Angels Wept [VIDEOS]

In a stunning turn of events yesterday the voters of Ireland voted to repeal the 8th Amendment of their Constitution. What is the 8th Amendment to the Irish constitution, and frankly why should Americans care?? Well, if you are a supporter of pro-life causes-you should care deeply. The 8th Amendment to the Irish constitution gives equal right to life to both mother and unborn child which effectively renders abortion illegal in most cases. The legislation was written and passed in 1983 after a previous referendum on the issue. Among the supporters of the 8th Amendment is the Catholic church which maintains a strong presence in the country. The 8th Amendment created a situation where many women had to leave the country to terminate their pregnancies. In 1992 women in Ireland were officially given the right to do so and according to statistics over 170,000 have done just that since then.

Supporters of the repeal movement have accused the church of “bullying” politicians to vote against abortion. Once again, the left is casting this as the patriarchy exploiting those poor women who just need to have their “healthcare” (hear that dog whistle?!). Never mind that these women are seeking to literally rip unborn babies out of other women’s bodies. Because, like, you know, it’s your right to commit murder because as Andrea Horan says in the video below “It’s all about us”.

Fascinatingly I see many folks in the video who would never have an abortion, because, well, they are MALE. Or they are trans. Or they are lesbian. So why should I care, as a woman, what they have to say about my ability to have an abortion-safe or otherwise? Unless that man is the father of my child I could give a flying fornication at an oscillating pastry about what he has to say about anything related to a pregnancy-mine or someone else’s. Clearly, this is a moot issue for the trans folks since they lack the basic plumbing to conceive and carry a child. This is a similarly moot issue for the lesbians in the video. I mean, come on folks Biology 101!

Sadly the referendum passed with flying colors with the “Yes” side bringing in 68% of the vote and the “No” side representing only 32% of the vote. These crusaders even reached into rural areas with their message since 60% of rural folk voted to repeal. The most incredible block though was the 18 to 24-year-olds who supported the repeal 87% to 13%.

Frankly, I think many of the folks in this video and the young people who ultimately turned out to support and vote on the latest cause celebre because the left has had a huge influence, and quite frankly, as a former Catholic I can tell you that they lost this war a long time ago. Evidently Catholic schools are sticking by the age-old advice of “Just say no” as the best form of birth control. Yeah, sorry folks but that has not worked throughout human history. If it had, there would be far fewer people in Catholic countries-just sayin’.

Alas the ghouls have wasted no time and Minister for Health Simon Harris said earlier this week that he would be introducing legislation to allow abortion on demand up to the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and after that for specific circumstances and hopes to have it passed by the end of the year. The only saving grace here is that the slaughter of the innocents will not start in Ireland for a few more months.

Let us know when “women demand” that EVERYBODY’S “wellness tax assesments” pay for their abortions.
    Because…you know…fairness.

Feminist carp on how women are victims of domestic violence against women. Half of all babies murdered in abortion are baby girls.

That is women murder more females than men….logic

Both of you are correct. It’s horrible, but true. Dark days for the unborn in Ireland.

Very few places on earth that proggy scum haven’t gotten their tentacles into, and done what they can to indoctrinate the young, and destroy as much of humanity as they can…

Google the term “Magdalene laundries.” This vote is not only about abortion, it’s a counterpunch to the the way in which the Roman Catholic Church has had its finger on the scales of Irish justice ever since the republic was created. Orphanage scandals, “homes for fallen women” scandals, clergy sex-abuse scandals — the Irish people finally had enough.
