If you’re interested in seeing the file the NSA and other agencies have on you, there’s a way to get it. The Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, allows citizens to request information from the government, and the Privacy Act allows you to request information about yourself. There’s certainly no guarantee they’ll respond—it has become painfully obvious that the government cares nothing for the law—but it is the law that they respond. I would also guard against expecting them to send you a complete file, but still. Can’t hurt to send the request.
