Today, was the second day of hearings for Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Yesterday’s Senate hearing, and today’s House hearing was supposed to be about U.S. Foreign Policy. Instead it was a clown show wrapped up in overwhelming concern about Marco Rubio’s … SHOES.

Of course, if you are the media, you are going to report that Secretary Rubio was on the hot seat and “sparred” with the Democrats. 

The secretary of state finished nearly four hours of testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where he received praise from Republicans and sparred with Democrats over the Iran war, President Donald Trump’s relationship with NATO and U.S. aid to Africa.

The hearing before lawmakers on Capitol Hill was the third of four in two days for the former Republican senator from Florida. The purpose of each hearing has been to discuss the State Department’s budget. But they’ve often veered into discussions about the Trump administration’s dealings with countries around the world.

They are willfully ignoring the clown show the Democrats put forth. Which included very high concern about President Trump closing his eyes and “sleeping” during meetings. 

You know, I’ve been in meetings before that just dragged on, and on, and on. Needless to say, while I didn’t fall asleep, my attention was definitely elsewhere. But here come the Democrat clowns. Shrilly proclaiming that it is of the utmost concern as to whether it is true or not that President Trump closes his eyes during meetings. 

Did they have ANY of the same concern about Joe Biden for four years?? Not one damned bit. 

The Democrats were full on with the screeching, and demanding answers while refusing to let Rubio answer. It was disgraceful on every single level.

I love that Congressman Mast shut Keating down with a flat NO when Keating demanded his time back. 

At least Secretary Rubio was able to inform the committee about Iran. 

Rubio addressed the House Foreign Affairs Committee a day after he told a Senate panel that “the war is over.” On Wednesday, he said recent US strikes against Iran were “completely defensive in nature” and meant to protect commercial vessels.

“[Operation] Epic Fury has concluded,” Rubio said, using the codename for the coordinated US-Israeli operations against Iranian military infrastructure that began on Feb. 28.

“If they don’t shoot at those ships, we don’t shoot, but we have to respond,” he said, adding that Iran is primarily threatening commercial shipping with cheaply made, one-way attack drones.

Rubio spoke as the region experienced some of its heaviest fighting since a ceasefire was reached in mid-April. US forces on Tuesday struck military ground control stations on Qeshm Island as well as an empty oil tanker they said was attempting to breach their blockade, prompting Iranian retaliation on two Gulf states that host American military bases.

Yet, I’m sure he had to shoehorn that information in over the Democrat’s bizarre clown show. Which also included bouts of ranting about Greenland, 

Weird flexes about Venezuela and then storming from the room before Rubio could answer.

You tell me? Who’s the clown here? 

But the best … or worst, depending upon your point of view, was the high amount of concern about Rubio’s shoes.

It was supposed to be a hearing on our U.S. foreign policy. Instead, the Democrat circus came to town.
