On January 13, 2021, the House of Representatives convened for Impeachment 2.0 of President Donald Trump, based on the January 6 Capitol Breach. Florida Representative Brian Mast rose during the debate period to ask whether testimony had been taken from any of the rioters. Jake Tapper of CNN called Mast’s patriotism into question. Brian Mast is a retired Army Ranger. Jake Tapper is a make-up wearing, teleprompter reader. How dare he?

By now, we have all at least read about the vile rioters who breached the Capitol building. If you have been comatose, the Washington Examiner has a pretty good wrap up here. The fingers pointing at President Trump began while the riot was still in progress.

For those of us who have attended Trump rallies, this whole situation seems quite strange. I was at the December 11 Million MAGA March in D.C. and the Stop the Steal rally the next day. Those were fun crowds. If our Lord and Savior had come down from Heaven and told us to breach the Capitol, we would have slept on it and prayed over it. Trump supporters are not impulsive types. I am going to lay the blame on Q, Antifa, and other agents provocateurs, not on Donald Trump. I am also going to blame Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell for not hardening OUR property. The Congresscritters have taken to calling the Capitol the “Citadel of Democracy”. A more fitting moniker would be the “Citadel of Hypocrisy”.

None of the elected officials want to hear that they might have some blame. No, they rushed pell mell into Impeachment 2.0 because above all else, they have an overarching hatred for Donald Trump as the avatar for those of us who stay at a Holiday Inn, eat at Olive Garden and shop at Walmart. If the Congresscritters were interested in the facts of January 6, they would have to be capable of introspection. They are not.

During the Impeachment 2.0 debate, Brian Mast stood up to ask what due diligence the House had done before launching this latest attack on the Office of the President of the United States. This was offensive to Jake Tapper, and he interrupted Dana Bash to tell her so:

First of all Bash, just because you heard people say “Trump sent us” that doesn’t make it true. If it wasn’t under oath, there is no penalty for lying. And, Jake Tapper, you worthless worm, how dare you question a hero’s commitment to Democracy. Our military does not fight for Democracy abroad. Our military fights to kill enemies of the United States and preserve our peace.

Let us look at the biography of Brian Mast:

Prior to his election to Congress, Brian followed in his father’s footsteps by serving in the U.S. Army for more than 12 years, earning medals including The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Commendation Medal for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal, and The Defense Meritorious Service Medal. While deployed in Afghanistan, he worked as a bomb disposal expert under the elite Joint Special Operations Command. The last improvised explosive device that he found resulted in catastrophic injuries, which included the loss of both of his legs.

Prior to serving under JSOC, Mast underwent Ranger Training. Just reading about Ranger Training makes me want to curl up in the fetal position.

Tapper, the makeup wearing, teleprompter reader, graduated from Dartmouth. The closest he has come to danger is that he once dated Monica Lewinsky and he reported from the Baghdad bureau of ABC in 2003.

All that Brian Mast wanted was facts before impeaching the President. What happened? Why did it happen? Who was involved? As a reporter, Tapper, that might ought to have been of interest to you. But you, Mr. Tapper, are not a reporter or journalist, you are a partisan hack.

Proving again, that Brian Mast is twice the man Tapper is, Mast tweeted:

Mast is a much better man than you will ever be no matter what. In the future, keep Mast’s name out of your mouth, unless it’s to thank him.
