In an interview with radio talk host Howard Stern, Hollywood producer and soon-to-be-director, Harvey Weinstein, said this about his next film, which will target the NRA:

“I’m gonna actually make a movie—I shouldn’t say this but I’ll tell it to you Howard—I’m gonna make a movie with Meryl Streep and we’re gonna take this issue head on,” he continued. “They’re gonna wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them…I don’t think we need guns in this country, and I hate it. And I think the NRA is a disaster area.”

Good luck with that, tough guy. The tens of millions of responsible gun owners are having a huge belly laugh right about now.

Newsflash, Mr. Weinstein, what you “think” means diddly squat. We are a free nation, whose natural rights are protected from ignoramuses like you, and the Draconian gun laws that your beloved Left wants imposed, you know, for our own safety. Now just imagine the outrage from the Left if a conservative spewed anything even remotely deemed threatening as Mr. Weinstein has. Oh, wait, it’s already busted a gut, albeit over generic campaign language. See Sarah Palin‘s use of the word “target.”

Now in case you’re unfamiliar with his work—much of which is admirable—Mr. Weinstein has produced, and wildly profited from, a plethora of violence-laced films, some in partnership with Quentin Tarantino, infamous for his blood-soaked cinema. Just a handful include:

• Kill Bill: Vol. 2
• Rambo Sequel

How very hypocritical of you, Harves. Guns are for actors…and governments only, right?

Do we really need to remind Mr. Weinstein, who either has no knowledge of relatively recent world history, or is simply a bonehead, about what happens when governments forcefully disarm their citizens, particularly nations with power-hungry despots?

I predict that Mr. Weinstein’s attempt to pull a Kill Bill on the NRA will have just the opposite effect. Following in the footsteps of his savior, I foresee an uptick in NRA memberships and a monumental increase in firearms owners.
