What would have happened if Joe Biden had died in office? Evidently some of Kamala Harris’ staff members thought that was a big concern and started drawing contingency plans in 2022.

All of this comes from a new book that will be publishing soon. 

Democratic officials staged “hush-hush talks” to plan for Joe Biden’s withdrawal as the party’s presidential nominee as early as 2023, says a new book.

Citing two unnamed sources, authors Jonathan Allen’s and Amie Parnes’s account adds another twist to the torturous saga over the then president’s age and fitness that was not resolved until a disastrous debate against Donald Trump precipitated his exit in July 2024.

More startlingly still, the book also reports that aides to Kamala Harris, the vice-president who assumed the nomination then lost to Trump, “strategized around the possibility that Biden might die in office”.

Such planning was led by Jamal Simmons, Harris’s White House communications director, Parnes and Allen report, and went as far as the drawing up of a “death-pool roster” of federal judges who might swear Harris in.

What’s the big deal about this? I mean, aren’t there contingency plans involving every President? I’d say it’s very likely as do others. It is important, given our history, that plans like that ARE in place. However, what’s instructive about this is that it was KAMALA’S staff who were drawing these plans up. From all reports at the moment, it doesn’t seem that anyone from Joe’s side of the White House was doing so. 

Oh, but there’s more. The DNC was doing the same thing. 

“A handful of Democratic National Committee officials already had considered contingency plans,” Allen and Parnes write. “In hush-hush talks starting in 2023, these officials gamed out Biden-withdrawal scenarios, according to two people familiar with them.

“They wanted to make sure the party was ready for every possible circumstance: if Biden launched his campaign and then stepped aside before the primaries; if he won a bunch of primaries and then could not continue. If he secured enough delegates for winning the nomination but dropped out before winning a floor vote at the convention, and if he left a vacancy at the top of the ticket after taking the nomination.”

As our readers know, we’ve been shouting since Joe’s campaign that he had mental cognitive issues. But we along with many others were totally ignored. But then, the debate happened. And the world, along with all those who’d been doing their damndest to ignore the elephant in the room or had been shrilly insisting that Joe was at THE TOP of his game, knew it was certain that the Emperor had no brain. 

And then, that very same staffer of Kamala’s went on national TV and promoted the idea that Joe should resign so Kamala could ascend to President. 

As we all know, that went over as well as a fart in church with Joe and the Biden camp. His next move was to set Kamala up for MORE failure. And fail she did. 

Meanwhile, DNC operatives and donors had been and still needed to deal with Joe’s cognitive issues. It wasn’t pretty. 

Two days after the debate, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy hosted a donor reception that Biden attended. The president required fluorescent tape on the floor to function as “colorful bread crumbs [that] showed the leader of the free world where to walk,” the book said.

During that event, Biden “didn’t look well” and “didn’t sound vital,” according to the authors.

Democratic luminaries privately urged Biden to consider throwing in the towel, with his former boss Barack Obama asking point-blank: “What is your path?”

“What’s my path?” Biden thought, according to the tome. “What’s your f—ing plan?”

Joe’s only plan was to continue to stay in office and ride the grift for as long as he could to benefit his family. Since that wasn’t going to happen, he nominated Kamala out of pure spite and then pardoned his family for the same reasons. 

As Matt at PJ Media reminds us, the White House physician was also insistent that Joe was totally fine. 

While White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor claimed that “President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,” Kamala’s team was maintaining spreadsheets of federal judges who could swear her in as president at a moment’s notice.

Kevin has a lot to answer for. As do Kamala’s staffers, the White House, Jill, Hunter, the DNC and the media. If Joe was SO FIT for office, why did the DNC and members of Kamala’s staff need to draw up their own contingency plans? 

The answer is, they KNEW the truth. An actual truth we’d been talking about for years. 

What they did was play all the games and hope that reality wouldn’t come back to bite them on the ass.

Except it did, in a very different way they’d imagined. Which has, thankfully, led us to a President Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
