New York City voters just voted for an extremely radical socialist for mayor. Zohran Mamdani beat Andrew Cuomo by a 7 point margin.
The New York Times is beside itself with glee over Mamdani’s win. He’s a “new political star!”
As elections go, Tuesday’s party primary for mayor was a thunderbolt: New York voters turned away from a well-funded familiar face and famous name, former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, and in doing so made a generational and ideological break with the party’s mainstream. They turned to a 33-year-old, three-term state assemblyman, Zohran Mamdani, who ran on an optimistic message about affordability and the rising cost of living that has eluded many national Democrats.
I’ll tell you what this was. It was a thunderbolt of stupidity. The NY Times tries to tell us that Zohran was running an optimistic message regarding affordability and the issues of high costs. Evidently his economic message resonated with the more progressive voters across the city. Uh huh…quite a number of those progressive voters are the same loons who applauded and likely participated in the campus riots at Columbia. They are the same loons who want everything free, as Mamdani has promised, and not have to lift a damned finger to work for it.
Here’s what Mamdani ran on.
Some of the things socialist NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has previously called for:
— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) June 25, 2025
– Abolish NYPD
– Abolish prisons
– Abolish medical bills
– Abolish private health insurance
– Ban all guns
– Legalize sex work
– Safe injection sites
– End cash bail
– Decriminalize drug…
Add to that, he wants to waive all bus fares and penalize hospitals and doctors if they refuse to comply with the transgender child mutilation craze. When I say he’s radical, I meant that he is RADICAL.
Amazingly, many Democrats ignore the reality of what he is peddling while claiming he’s working to make NYC more affordable again. This from Kathy Hochul.
“Today, voters made their voices heard, demanding a more affordable, more livable New York City. I hear them loud and clear,” she said.
“Zohran Mamdani built a formidable grassroots coalition, and I look forward to speaking with him in the days ahead about his ideas on how to ensure a safe, affordable, and livable New York City.”
I’ll tell you right now how he plans to bring about this so-called affordability.
Raise Taxes and Tax The Rich.
So I'm trying to do my due diligence on Mamdani, and it's not good.

>Replace NYPD with social workers in high-crime areas
> $10B tax hike on businesses & wealthy
> City-run grocery stores
> Defended “globalize the intifada”
> $100B spending plan
That $100 billion spending plan goes after businesses and individuals who are at the higher end of the tax bracket.
City-run grocery stores? Shades of Cuba and Russia!! You will buy only what we stock…and we decide when your food and household items will be available.
This primary win is a political earthquake alright.
Does this mean he’ll prevail in the general election? Sadly, given the slate of candidates on the Republican and Independent sides including a flailing Eric Adams, it is very possible.
New York City has one of the largest Jewish populations in the United States. Are they paying attention to what Zohran Mamdani is peddling??

Keep in mind, this is the statement he issued on October 8, 2023 mere hours after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel.

I can guarantee you he hasn’t changed his mind on Israel. Are the voters in NYC paying attention??
UNLESS, cooler and more rational heads prevail, the results of the general election won’t be pretty. Then again, if New York really wants to vote in a radical socialist utopia by electing a genuine Communist, I and many others are just ready to stand back and watch the city go down the drain.
Keep in mind, he’s promising and wants to plan to push all this FREE stuff to make NYC more affordable. NOTHING is free and someone always pays the cost for it. Furthermore, as the Communist utopias of Russia and Cuba have shown, the poor and middle class are the ones who will suffer from this government largesse.
New York City is bringing this upon themselves. And the DNC won’t be helping much given they are rudderless and don’t have a clue as to how to manage to promote and/or distance themselves from one of the most radical socialist/communist candidates NYC has ever had.
I’ll just leave you with this.

I’m thinking it might be a real good idea to invest in a U-Haul franchise in NYC.
What will Wall St. do if this becomes reality……?
Escape from New York. I’m thinking the house prices in Connecticut are going to rise.
Mamdani is a slick version of the disastrous Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson. Like Johnson, Mamdani was elected by a large contingent of young white adults. How’s that working out, Chicago?
New York is about to get the Chicago socialist treatment, and get it good and hard.
