No, it wasn’t an early Halloween prank. And it certainly wasn’t a case of ‘oops we misspoke.’ Instead truth is stranger than fiction. Christian Fabel, the mayor of a very small town in Germany called Sumte is now dealing with a very big problem.
In early October, Mayor Fabel received orders from the district government. Sumte, with a population of 102, was to told to take in over 1,000 Muslim refugees, and they had just a month to brace for impact.
His wife, the mayor said, assured him it must be a hoax. “It certainly can’t be true” that such a small, isolated place would be asked to accommodate nearly 10 times as many migrants as it had residents, she told him. “She thought it was a joke,” he said.
I would’ve thought it was a joke too. A very bad joke. Let’s think about this for a minute. A small town in Germany, so small that it doesn’t have a school, shops, or a police force, has been ordered to host Muslim refugees on short notice and has exactly ZERO resources to back them up. At least Sumte was able to negotiate the max number of refugees down to 750, that’s something I guess.
Taking a look at the map above, can anyone tell me where all the refugees will reside? Set up tents in the fields perhaps? What kind of impact will the influx of refugees have on Sumte’s infrastructure such as the sewage system? That’s just one of issues that had to be dealt with and fast.
“How do we protect ourselves against crime?”was another question. A woman asked “if medical care is guaranteed for the protection of all of us”. From a corner of the hall somebody pointed out that there were mainly single, young men arriving on the town’s doorstep and would it be safe to leave the house after dark. Oh yes, the mayor assured them, “the street lights will remain on all night”.
I’m honestly not sure how keeping the streetlights on all night will serve as a deterrent to crime. If anything, the Sumte townspeople should be seriously concerned about their safety and that of others.
As author-blogger Pamela Geller noted this week, citing German press reports, more than one in two refugees from one camp went missing and are now unaccounted for and considered “on the run.”
At least 580 refugees initially were reported to have disappeared from Camp Shelterschlefe.
When you also factor in the reports via Die Welt that over 7,000 Muslim refugees, most of them men between the ages of 18-25, have “disappeared” from the Brandenburg shelters or other assigned accommodations…I’d be seriously concerned.
Unfortunately, Sumte isn’t the only town that has been ordered to make way for the supposed refugees. Patrick Henry Village near Heidleberg, long the home to U.S. Army personnel and their families, is now a refugee camp and has been for over a year. German churches are being affected as well.
The Protestant church in Oberhausen, Germany offered to make the group of 50 feel more welcome.
Pastor Joachim Deterding said: “Before the refugees can move in, the seats have to be taken away. Also the altar, the pulpit and font are movable.”
If Oberhausen is facing overwhelming numbers of refugees like Sumte is, I can definitely understand why the city would be happy to accept the church’s offer. Except for one thing, the church itself is effectively doing its best to wipe out all references of its OWN religion in order to ensure the Muslims feel “welcome.” What’s next? Canceling the church services? If that happens, then truly a downward spiral has begun.
As Sumte scrambles to get ready for the refugees that are being thrust upon them, they and the rest of Germany should take note. This is not yet the tip of the iceberg. There are an estimated 60 million refugees on the march, more now than any other time in history. Its estimated that over 1 million will head to Europe over the next 12 months.
We are talking about millions of potential refugees trying to reach Europe, not thousands. #EUCO #refugeecrisis #migrationEU

How long will it take for the welcome mat and tolerance shown by the people of Sumte to wear off? How many hundreds of years of German tradition, history, law, and way of life will be forced onto the trash heap because in one fell swoop, Muslim refugees will be the supermajority in that tiny hamlet? The people of Sumte, Germany are about to get a crash course in reality, and the results will not be pretty.
Correction, that article about them being housed in Heidelberg indicates they are at Patton Barracks, not PHV. PHV was further out and could probably house a few thousand families, at least. Patton Barracks was where a lot of the single soldiers lived, MPs, MI, etc. I think PHV has been turned into regular German citizen housing, from what I heard over the years.
I only note this because I lived there almost 7 years and Patton vs PHV are very different kasernes. 😉
True Patton Barracks has been housing “refugees” – unfortunately the entire original base, including PHV is as well – in fact other reports state that PHV is housing approximately 4,000. Thanks!
Another libtard society is now facing the consequences of their stupidty. Zero compassion.
No common language, religion or culture, no infrastructure or possibility of employment or finding a spouse…what could possibly go wrong?
